Katie Price's ex Alex Reid is 'spearheading a campaign' to take her down

Katie Price's ex-husband of one year Alex Reid is speaking out against the former glamour model in an incredibly dramatic fashion days after Peter Andre did the same. The mum-of-five, 47, started dating Alex hot off the heels from her split with Mysterious Girl hitmaker Peter, and they tied the knot in a Las Vegas ceremony in 2010. However, after just a year of marriage Alex and Katie called it quits. After Peter posted a shock statement on social media days ago accusing Katie of peddling lies for 16 years, Alex is taking a similar step and has announced he is 'spearheading a campaign' against her. 'Over the years you've seen countless stories by Katie Price directed at me, Peter Andre, Kieran Hayler, and others,' he said in a video posted on social media this evening. 'I am spearheading a campaign to expose the truth. This isn't about gossip, it's about evidence. It isn't about rumour, it's about reality. 'After years of silence the time has finally come to reveal all. This is bigger than one person. It's about honesty, accountability, and supporting those that have been silenced. 'The time for speculation is over. The truth will now be seen and heard.' This comes after a report yesterday that Katie is planning on releasing a three-part personal documentary to coincide with the 30-year anniversary of her becoming one of The Sun's page 3 models. A source told The Mirror that Alex and Kieran Hayler – who was with Katie from 2013 to March 2021 – are teaming up with lawyers to block her from featuring them on the show. A source told The Mirror: 'They feel like they have been backed into a corner and have no choice. 'They just want her to stop trashing them, and can't believe she is being given a platform.' Another source, close to Kieran, said that 'enough is enough' and the men are just looking to move on with their lives but 'can't trust anything' that Katie says. A spokesman for Kieran added: 'We are keeping all our options open. I can confirm Alex Reid is on the same page.' The outlet reported that they have been in contact via an intermediary over the documentary, which is being made by Louis Theroux's production company Mindhouse. It's due to be aired by Sky but lawyers for the pair are said to be urging the broadcaster to reconsider. Last week Kieran – who is dad to Katie's youngest kids Bunny, 11, and Jett, 12 – issued a public apology to Princess after she admitted: 'I wish I could have had a happier childhood.' Meanwhile, days ago Peter spoke out on Instagram with a cutting statement about his ex-wife Katie, who he met on I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here in 2004. 'For sixteen years, I have stayed silent in the face of repeated lies from my ex-wife and her family, out of respect for my children and loved ones, but staying silent has been incredibly frustrating. That ends today,' Peter said. He continued: 'The latest comments about my children's welfare and living arrangements compel me to set the record straight. 'For well-documented reasons, and for their safety, Junior and Princess came into my care in 2018 and remained with me until they reached adulthood. 'In 2019, the family courts issued a legally binding order to enforce this arrangement. I have never made this public before, out of respect for my children. More Trending 'In 2011 and 2015, publicly documented court cases, found my ex-wife had made false claims. She was ordered to pay substantial damages and legal costs, and to apologise, to me and my management. The same falsehoods are being repeated today. 'Unfortunately, there are many more lies and baseless accusations I have yet to address. Those will now be dealt with in the coming months.' In a statement to Metro, Katie's representative said in response: 'Kate is in a much better and clear headspace and is at peace with the situation, this was in the past and she doesn't feel the need to bring up tit for tat comments, but more importantly she's dealing with this the right way and it's now in her lawyers hands. 'Kate will no longer be gaslighted and bullied as she once was…' Got a story? It was the second most complained about Love Island week in history - the first was season seven when Faye Winter kicked off after Casa Amor with total of 29,101 in just one week. Despite viewer's concern, the regulator will not be taking any further action. A spokesperson said."We carefully assessed the complaints we received about this series of Love Island. "We recognise that emotionally charged or confrontational scenes can upset some viewers. "But, in our view, negative behaviour in the villa was not shown in a positive light, and contestants were seen supporting or apologising to each other. "We also took into account that the format of this reality show is well-established, and viewers would expect to see highs and lows as relationships and friendships are tested." Ofcom received 14,167 complaints about the ITV reality series, including 24 about spin-off show Love Island: Unseen Bits, with the highest number of complaints coming on July 24, which saw 3,549 complaints relating to alleged bullying behaviour towards contestant Shakira Khan. Other complaints related to further alleged bullying of Khan, as well as fellow contestants Toni Laites, Yasmin Pettet, Meg Moore and Helena Ford, concern over contestants' mental health throughout the series, and Dejon Noel-Williams's behaviour towards Meg. Further complaints were made about the show's producers bringing contestant Megan Forte Clarke back onto the programme after she was dumped from the villa, and alleged race and gender based discrimination. Love Island's 12th series ran from June 9 to August 4 and Toni Laites and Cach Mercer took home the £50k, while Khan and Harry Cooksley finished as runners-up. Emily In Paris looking for 500 extras - but there's one surprising requirement

Emily In Paris bosses have issued a casting call as they search for 500 extras to appear in the next season, but there's a huge catch that could hold hopefuls back Emily In Paris bosses are looking for 500 extras to appear in its next season. The Netflix hit, which stars Lily Collins in the title role, normally shoots in the French capital but as filming for the next batch of episodes in Vienna after Emily moved to Rome, they have put out a call for several locals to act as background artists. ‌ The block of filming for the fifth season of the hit comedy drama in question will take place until next Monday, and as part of the story, Emily will take a trip to the Italian city with love interest Marcello Muratori, played by Eugenio Franceschini. Scenes will be shot at landmarks such as Hotel San Daniele, the Santi Giovanni and Paolo basilica and the Grand Canal amongst a host of others so legions of extras will be required in order to realistically pad out the heavy tourist areas. ‌ The casting call stipulates that, in order to be considered for a background part, women must be 'beautiful' and wear a dress size from size six to ten only. The call reads: "We are looking for beautiful extras, with a lean physique and size from 38 to 42." It comes after one huge TV star looks completely unrecognisable as she reveals latest facelift. ‌ 'Well-groomed, dry body, attractive' is also bluntly listed as criterion, and men must be size 46–52, and while 'all ages' will be considered, they must adhere to the physical requirements in order to be in with a chance of landing a role in the background. What's more, fans only have until midnight on 20 August to apply. Away from the cameras, Lily, welcomed Tove, six months, with Charlie McDonnell and her co-star Lucien Laviscount, recently admitted she's juggling motherhood with her leading-lady duties like a total pro as filming ramps up on the new season. Lucien, 32, who plays heartthrob Alfie in the series, says reuniting with the cast has been like no time has passed at all. 'It's so bizarre… life's been going on for everyone, but it only feels like a couple of weeks,' he says. 'We're getting the scripts through, it's like, 'Oh sh*t, this is crazy.' It's going off!' He also had us laughing talking about his Schweppes campaign — a cheeky nod to his Caribbean roots and growing up with ginger beer at his grandma's. 'Schweppes was like the fancy stuff we bring out at Christmas,' he shared, adding with a grin, 'It was like a perfect little match, to be honest.' ‌ Filming has taken place over the last few months and there is of drama ahead - both on screen and off - and Laviscount promises this season is one to watch. 'Everyone's really excited about what's to come,' he says. 'It's all there to play for, really.' Fizzing with energy, we say! After months away from filming Emily In Paris, Lily's return to set was always going to be a welcoming affair. But Netflix star brought the entire set to a standstill as she returned to work with her four month old daughter in tow. Cradling her in her arms, the 36-year-old actress looked the picture of happiness as she was surrounded by her cast mates and crew as they cooed over her baby girl, named Tove. And it looked as though the four month old was also in her element as she playfully smiled and sat comfortable in the arms of various pals of the actress. The new series of the show is being filmed in Rome instead of Paris as Lily's character is now creating a new life for herself in the historical city with her on-screen boyfriend Marcello, played by Eugenio Franceschini. Back in January, Lily and Charlie welcomed their daughter via surrogate. Sharing her happy news with her 29 million followers, Lily posted: "Welcome to the center [sic] of our world Tove Jane McDowell. Words will never express our endless gratitude for our incredible surrogate and everyone who helped us along the way. We love you to the moon and back again…"
