Lily Collins shuts down 'Emily in Paris' feud rumours with supportive message to departing co-star Camille Razat

Express Tribune25-04-2025
Lily Collins has addressed speculation of tension within the Emily in Paris cast by publicly supporting her co-star Camille Razat following Razat's departure from the Netflix series.
Feud rumours had emerged after reports suggested Collins previously declined to join a group interview with her castmates ahead of the Season 3 and 4 premiere, raising questions about her relationship with the ensemble.
Camille Razat, who portrayed Camille in the series, confirmed she would not return for the upcoming fifth season. In a statement to The Independent, she said her character's journey had naturally come to an end and that it was the right time to explore new projects. Razat also posted a farewell message on Instagram, sharing behind-the-scenes images and expressing gratitude to the production team and fans.
Collins, who stars as Emily Cooper, quickly commented under Razat's post, writing: 'Love you sister. It's been a wild ride and an absolute pleasure. You're a rockstar. So proud of you.'
On her Instagram Story too, Lily Collins re-posted Camille Razat's announcement and wrote, 'Thank you for the incredible memories @camillerazat. You've brought a spark and a light to this show that will be so missed but ALWAYS celebrated. You're a force and I'm so proud of you and excited for all you have to come...'
Razat's departure marks a significant shift for Emily in Paris, as her character played a key role across the first four seasons. Season four concluded with Camille learning of a false pregnancy and leaving her fiancé Gabriel, setting the stage for new storylines. The fifth season will reportedly follow Emily's move to Rome and later return to Paris.
Emily in Paris first debuted in 2020 and has been a major success for Netflix, blending romantic drama with cultural exploration. Season five is expected to premiere in autumn.

HBO reveals first look at new Weasley siblings for Harry Potter series

HBO's upcoming Harry Potter television series is beginning to take shape as the casting of the Weasley family has been unveiled. The network shared new images on social media introducing the actors who will bring several of the iconic red-haired siblings to life. Tristan and Gabriel Harland, twin brothers who previously appeared in Netflix's The Last Kingdom, have been cast as Fred and George Weasley. Their casting immediately drew attention, as many fans have long speculated who might take on the challenge of playing the mischievous pair. Percy Weasley will be portrayed by Ruari Spooner, known for his role in the short film Syncopation. Ginny Weasley will be played by Gracie Cochrane, who had a supporting role in Apple TV+'s Blitz. While the majority of Ron's siblings have been revealed, Charlie Weasley has yet to be announced. HBO teased the delay by joking that the dragon-loving character is 'in Romania at the moment' but will be joining soon. Fans are also waiting for news on who will portray Arthur and Bill Weasley, two characters who play key roles later in the series. Katherine Parkinson has already been confirmed to play Molly Weasley, rounding out the heart of the family. Production for the series recently began at Warner Bros. Studios in Leavesden, the same site where blockbuster films such as Barbie and Wonka were shot. The show is expected to premiere in 2027 and run for a decade, covering all seven of J.K. Rowling's books in a more expansive format than the films starring Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint. Rowling herself is on board as an executive producer. With the Weasley siblings now stepping into the spotlight, excitement continues to build for a series that promises to revisit Hogwarts with a new generation of actors. For many fans, this extended format could finally allow the Weasley family to shine as they did in the books.

Why are the Duffer Brothers leaving Netlfix?

Matt and Ross Duffer, the creative duo behind Netflix's Stranger Things, are making a major industry shift. The brothers have officially signed a four-year exclusive deal with Paramount, marking their exit from Netflix in April 2026. The agreement covers films, television, and streaming projects, with a particular focus on 'ambitious' and 'large-scale theatrical films.' Future projects will be developed under their production banner, Upside Down Pictures, which they run alongside producing partner Hilary Leavitt. In a joint statement, the Duffers expressed enthusiasm about joining Paramount, calling it the 'fulfillment of a lifelong dream' and emphasizing the studio's Hollywood legacy. They also noted their excitement about reuniting with Cindy Holland and Matt Thunell, executives who first championed Stranger Things at Netflix nearly a decade ago. At Paramount, the brothers will collaborate with Josh Greenstein and Dana Goldberg, senior creative leaders overseeing both film and television. Their signing comes in the wake of Paramount's $8 billion merger with Skydance and aligns with CEO David Ellison's vision of positioning the studio as a top destination for major filmmakers. Paramount executives praised the Duffers' cultural impact and storytelling ability. Cindy Holland, now head of streaming at Paramount, highlighted her long history with the brothers, while Goldberg and Greenstein called the partnership an example of the 'new Paramount in action.' The deal does not sever ties with Netflix immediately. The Duffers remain committed to finishing Stranger Things' fifth and final season, along with other projects currently in development, including Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen and The Boroughs. They also teased that more stories set within the Stranger Things universe are on the horizon. In their farewell note to Netflix, the brothers described their time at the streamer as 'incredible' and praised executives Ted Sarandos, Bela Bajaria, and Peter Friedlander for providing 'the kind of creative freedom and support that artists dream of.' With Stranger Things approaching its conclusion, the Duffers' move signals both an ending and a new beginning. As they step into Paramount's ecosystem, all eyes will be on what kind of stories the duo creates when they expand beyond Hawkins.

Biebergate2025: Justin Bieber impersonator performs at Las Vegas club after nightclub mix-up

Justin Bieber was announced on stage at a Las Vegas nightclub last weekend, but the performer was not the Grammy award-winning artist. Instead, the singer who joined DJ Gryffin at XS Nightclub inside Wynn Las Vegas on August 16 was a Bieber impersonator. The DJ posted a video on Instagram explaining how he had been told that Bieber was at the venue and wanted to perform. 'His 'team' said he wanted to perform 'Sorry,'' a caption in the video read. Gryffin added that the look-alike not only resembled Bieber but also 'sounded like Justin Bieber.' The DJ later captioned the clip 'biebergate2025.' Wynn Las Vegas confirmed the mix-up in a statement. 'After an elaborate and multi-step ruse by him and his advance team, a Justin Bieber impersonator was granted access to the XS stage. As soon as the error was recognized, he was removed from the resort and denied future entry.' Footage showed the impersonator, with short hair, sunglasses and tattoos, singing the hit single 'Sorry' while Gryffin told the crowd, 'Bieber in the house, y'all.' After the performance, Gryffin was told the person on stage was not Bieber. 'No way,' he said, before being assured, 'Swear on my life.' The impersonator was later identified as French performer Dylan Desclos. His manager Julien Colas said in a statement that Desclos never claimed to be the real Bieber. Desclos allegedly ran up a $10,000 tab at the bar before being removed and permanently banned.
