Travis Hunter's fiancée lavishes two-way star with $50K gift ahead of NFL Draft
Just before he was about to hear his name called at the NFL Draft in Green Bay, Travis Hunter's fiancée gifted the future football star a watch to wear to the ceremony.
In a video posted to the Instagram story of Hellion 'Boog' Knight, the head of operations for Young Money APAA (the agency Hunter is signed to), Hunter's fiancée Leanna Lenee is seen walking into his room while holding a green watch box behind her.
The video, which features the Boosie Badazz song 'Rolex Baby', shows Lenee in a black t-shirt surprising the football star with a watch.
It appears that the cornerback/wide receiver prospect received a Rolex Day-Date (Reference No. 228235).
The beautiful timepiece appears to have a brown dial inlaid with diamonds in a rose gold case that features a fluted bezel. It's completed by being set on a rose gold oyster bracelet.
While the watch in a 'plain jane' style runs more than $40,000 the additional diamonds raise the price up to just north of $50,000, according to the Rolex website.
Later in the evening, Lenee and Hunter hit the red carpet before the Draft - with Hunter sporting a bright pink suit for the occasion.
It's been a rocky season for Lenee and Hunter's relationship as the public have cast doubts on Lenee's motives for dating the star.
This forced Lenee to defend herself in a lengthy eight-minute video posted after Hunter won the Heisman Trophy.
As Hunter was announced as the winner of the prestigious award, Lenee initially remained sitting while Hunter's mother and Buffaloes coach Deion Sanders stood up.
She briefly stood and gave Hunter a hug after Sanders appeared to tap her, but promptly sat back down as Hunter continued embracing his group.
Fans took issue with what they perceived to be a slight, sparking horrific backlash on social media.
It's one of many perceived slights Lenee had to address. Others included a tense moment after a game against Oklahoma State and some comments she made as Hunter was taking photos with female fans during a pre-Heisman photo shoot.
On a Twitch stream after the ceremony, Hunter revealed that Lenee had cried herself to sleep as she continued to be pelted with criticism.
The couple went through a tough season where Lenee was barraged with public criticism
'She's still sleeping, she's slumped,' the Heisman winner shared on a Twitch stream. 'You know when you're hurt but you just cry yourself to sleep and you just be gone? She drunk [sic], like, an OD amount tonight for no reason.'
Hunter told people to stop targeting her, specifically calling out 'clickbait' pages, social media accounts, and websites.
'Clickbait pages stop, y'all better stop I'm telling y'all. Something bad is gonna happen to y'all [if you] keep doing that. Y'all better stop that. I ain't playing,' he said.
'Y'all hate on me then you go hate on my girl,' the two-way star continued. 'I feel the same thing that she feels. We're inseparable. We're with each other. If she's hurting, I'm hurting.'
Hunter and Lenee have been dating for five years, according to the football star. They are set to be married next year.

Man plunges 3,000-foot to his death from America's tallest mountain
Tragically the two climbers who were with him at the time witnessed the horror event and were unable to rescue him despite attempting to scale as far down the face as possible A man has tragically died after he plunged 3,000-foot off America's tallest mountain. The devastating incident happened on Monday, June 2 when Alex Chiu, a ski mountaineer from New York, was climbing the West Buttress of Alaska 's Mount McKinley, formerly known as Denali. He was attempting the climb 'un-roped' with two others. The 41-year-old's body was found on Wednesday after he fell toward the Peters Glacier, an exposed rocky 3000-foot face, according to the Denali National Park Service. Tragically the two climbers who were with him at the time witnessed the horror event and were unable to rescue him despite attempting to scale as far down the face as possible. After their attempts to rescue their fellow climber failed the pair then descended the route to get help, but high winds and snow kept rescuers from reaching Chiu until Wednesday morning, reports MailOnline. Chiu had posted about his trip to Denali prior to the tragic incident, including packing, their flight to Alaska and cooking with friends. He had recently moved back to New York City in 2023, according to an Instagram post. Chiu said on Instagram that he had stopped much of his climbing following the pandemic, but had started his return to the sport. He wrote in a caption: "So, tomorrow I am getting on an airplane to Alaska, in an attempt to climb the third highest peak in the world because I don't want to know what happens to a dream deferred." His latest post on May 19 was flooded with comments of love and remembrance from friends and followers. One wrote: "Damn I was just told the news. I can't believe it and I'm truly hurting. This man here was always the coolest, supportive and most positive human being. "I'm so sorry that you will not be able to bring all that goodness that you brought to me and to others anymore, but we will never forget. We really lost a great human being. You will be missed Alex. BR family for life!" Another follower wrote: "Thanks for being such an amazing light and energy Alex. You were always so positive and supportive. Will miss you bud," a third wrote: "Thank you for always bringing so much positivity to the community!! I love you bro! I'm devastated and I just can't believe this is true." A friend of Chiu's, James Lee, told the New York Times: "Alex was a well known and valued member of the Seattle climbing community. He introduced many people to mountaineering and rock climbing and could be found mountaineering, skiing or rock climbing on most weekends." With a peak at 6,190 meters (20,310 feet), Alaska's Denali has the highest elevation in North America. Sixty million years ago, tectonic uplift pushed Earth's crust upward, forming Denali and the other Alaska Range mountains. Denali is the centerpiece of the Denali National Park and Preserve, which spans 2.4 million hectares (6 million acres) of land.
