Watch: Austin Butler explains his Bad Bunny concert dance on 'Tonight'
Aug. 13 (UPI) -- Elvis star Austin Butler has explained his unique dance at a recent Bad Bunny concert, attributing it to an edible.
The actor, 33, recently attended his Caught Stealing co-star's show in Puerto Rico, and unpacked the experience on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon Tuesday.
"I thought we were just gonna be in an audience, you know, like with everybody and so somebody gave me an edible right before the show and I thought that was a good idea at the time and so I ate the edible and then it turns out we're in like a casita -- a house that is basically the second stage, that he comes and he's on that stage at one point," Butler told Fallon.
He then explained how he felt as though his brain was divided "in two movies."
The first train of thought was that he was so proud of his colleague and was "falling in love with Puerto Rican culture and the dancing."
"And then the other part of me is like, 'Don't dance,'" he explained. "'Because you'll take attention away from him. This is his moment.'"
"But then the music's so good and it's like in my bones at that point and so I'm like wanting to dance but then the other voice inside is saying, 'Don't take attention away,' so I ended up just like swaying my hips while crossing my arms," he continued.
Caught Stealing arrives in theaters Aug. 29 and is directed by Darren Aronofsky.

The Tonight Show landed its biggest audience in years as Jimmy Fallon hosted Fox News personality Greg Gutfeld last Thursday. The episode drew in 1.7 million viewers, according to Nielsen live-plus-same day figures. It was the program's most-watched 'regular' broadcast — meaning not airing directly after a major sporting event — since December 19, 2023, when a post-The Voice finale episode attracted 1.74 million viewers. Some of Thursday's viewers may be attributed to the night's lead guest, the Jonas Brothers; however, it's Gutfeld's segment that boasts by far the most viewers on the show's YouTube channel (990,000 at the time of writing). During the highly anticipated interview, Fallon and Gutfeld steered clear of politics, instead bantering about their first drunken meeting at a bar in New York City. 'This is hilarious — we've met before,' Fallon opened with. 'Yes, you have no memory of it. Which is understandable, because we were wasted,' Gutfeld responded before launching into a long-winded anecdote about their meeting. The host of Fox's politically charged comedy panel show, Gutfeld!, alluded to his then-upcoming appearance with Fallon last week, saying it would be the 'biggest crossover since the Harlem Globetrotters visited the Golden Girls.' 'Unlike the other guys, Jimmy sitting with me proves he's not afraid of upsetting his peers or afraid of my mesmerizing charm,' he added. Fallon has shown his willingness to be pragmatic about humoring the right in the past, infamously hosting Donald Trump in September 2016, two months before his victory over Hillary Clinton, and ruffling the New York property tycoon's blonde hair to check whether it was real. The gesture alienated some of The Tonight Show's audience, and Fallon later expressed regret over it, telling The New York Times in 2017: 'I didn't do it to humanize him. I almost did it to minimize him. I didn't think that would be a compliment: 'He did the thing that we all wanted to do.'' Trump himself was angered over Fallon's 'whimpering' attempts to distance himself from the interview, rebuking him on Twitter: 'Be a man Jimmy!' By contrast, Trump has long been a champion of Gutfeld, posting a Fox press release celebrating his high ratings on Truth Social last September and writing in all-caps: 'GUTFELD! NOTCHES LARGEST AUDIENCE IN PROGRAM HISTORY WITH NEARLY FIVE MILLION VIEWERS DURING INTERVIEW WITH FORMER PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP.' When fellow late-night host Stephen Colbert's show was axed last month, the president wrote: 'I absolutely love that Colbert' got fired. His talent was even less than his ratings. I hear Jimmy Kimmel is next. Has even less talent than Colbert! Greg Gutfeld is better than all of them combined, including the Moron on NBC who ruined the once great Tonight Show.' Gutfeld likewise gloated over The Late Show's demise, commenting on Fox: 'This was an 'institution,' and rather than put someone in his place they just said, 'We're closing up.' Imagine being a chef. You're such a bad chef that they cancel food… It's so obvious. You can't do a comedy show and a sermon at the same time.'

Travis Kelce's Shirtless Honey Scene with Bad Bunny Stole the Show in ‘Happy Gilmore 2'
I'm always a little bit wary when Hollywood decides to reboot a beloved movie from ages past. So even though I loved Happy Gilmore the original back when it first came out in 1996, I was skeptical that Adam Sandler and the gang could really strike gold twice with Happy Gilmore 2 nearly 30 years later. Well, I was wrong—the hit comedy is currently ranked number one on Netflix. And I suspect that success is in no small part thanks to one particular scene starring none other than Bad Bunny and Travis Kelce. *Minor spoilers ahead.* Scott Yamano/Netflix I won't spoil exactly how it is that the movie gets to this point, but part way through Happy Gilmore 2 audiences are treated to a scene of a shirtless Kelce being painted with honey by none other than Bad then being attacked by a bear. It's an imagined dream sequence in which Bad Bunny's character, caddy Oscar Mejías, seeks revenge on his overbearing (pun intended) boss, played by Kelce—and audiences are reportedly absolutely loving it. Scott Yamano/Netflix I can only imagine how difficult it must have been for not just Bad Bunny and Kelce, but the entire crew, to keep a straight face throughout filming. But as Sandler told Entertainment Tonight, Kelce seems more than comfortable letting loose and poking fun at himself. 'Travis is such a gentle, nice guy, and funny as hell,' says Sandler. 'He's like the guys I grew up with. When I was with Travis, it reminded me of my buddies in high school and just being able to laugh and say the things you want to say.' Scott Yamano/Netflix Fans of both the A-list singer and the NFL all-star won't be surprised to see just how funny these two men are on the big screen. Bad Bunny has hosted and made numerous appearances on Saturday Night Live, bringing out big laughs every time. And Kelce has been racking up the acting credits as host of the game show Are You Smarter than a Celebrity? and in Ryan Murphy's Grotesquerie. Rebooting old favorites can't always guarantee a hit, but it looks like Sandler and the rest of the cast and crew can safely pronounce Happy Gilmore 2 to be a certified smash. On top of that, Butler says he was given an edible "right before the show." He initially thought it "was a good idea," but was quickly proven wrong. Even though he is an actor, Butler said he doesn't like attention on him, noting that he doesn't even like people singing "Happy Birthday" to him. 'So, suddenly I'm on stage with Bad Bunny and the edible is working," said Butler. "It was wild. So it's like my brain is in two movies. One is like, 'Benito and I had lunch earlier in the day, I'm just like, so proud of him.' ' 'I'm watching him going like, 'Oh my God, look how much you mean to everyone here.' I'm like, falling in love with Puerto Rican culture and the dancing and everybody is so sexy and amazing," he continued. "And then the other part is of me is like, 'Don't dance, because you'll take attention away from him. This is his moment.' " In the viral video, Butler was caught shimmying to the beat of the music with a smile from ear to ear. The Elvis star wanted to "hide" but said that the music was "so good," causing him to do some dancing — just not enough to take attention away from Bad Bunny. "I ended up just like swaying my hips while crossing my arms," said Butler. "For whatever reason, every time I uncrossed my arms, I felt like I was drawing attention to myself. So I was like, 'This is okay,' " he later added while describing his dance moves. He noted that part of his fear also came from "the Ben Affleck thing at the Grammys where people said he wasn't having a good time and so you're like, 'I don't want to be the sad guy,' " he said, referring to Affleck's appearance at the 2023 Grammys with Jennifer Lopez. "But you also don't want to be the guy who's dancing crazy and drawing attention." The clip ended with Fallon sharing that he went through a similar experience when he went to a Harry Styles concert.
