Galaxy S23 users report camera downgrade after One UI 7 update
Multiple reports suggest that after installing One UI 7 (based on Android 15), many Galaxy S23 owners are seeing a noticeable downgrade in camera performance on their phones. One UI 7 has been previously reported to cause issues, and now Galaxy S23 , S23 Ultra, and even Galaxy S23 FE users are seeing a drop in camera performance. The list of observed issues includes blurry photos, washed-out photos, and the crispness that their phones usually offered being gone.
Reportedly, distant sceneries are looking blurry, close-ups are too soft, and colors appear dull, even if the photo was taken in good lighting conditions. Obviously, things that weren't present on the affected phones before. Apparently, it's not just the quality of still images that has been affected. Some users also report a lag with the camera app itself. Things like delays when switching between camera modes or between the front and rear cameras are also being observed. On top of that, previews appear to slowly come for some users as well. And of course, all of these are pretty frustrating issues to deal with. Luckily, the issues don't seem to be universal, but there are quite a lot of reports of similar buds, so it's not a minor issue either. Many of the S23 users have tried clearing the camera app's cache and resetting settings to no avail.
So far, Samsung has not commented on the issue or released an official statement. However, community moderators and members of Samsung support teams are telling users to submit error reports in the Samsung Members app. Also, detailed log files are requested with the reports, so that the Samsung team may investigate the cause of the issue.
Meanwhile, One UI 7 has also caused some users to see network and Bluetooth connectivity problems. Hopefully, Samsung manages to fix the issues quickly. I personally think it's a real letdown when a big update, something you're excited about, ends up messing with features you use every day, like the camera. The Galaxy S23 lineup has some of the best smartphone cameras out there, so seeing a drop in quality after an update is understandably frustrating.
It's good that not everyone is affected, but still, for those who are, it takes away from the whole experience. Hopefully, Samsung listens to the feedback and rolls out a fix soon – because users shouldn't have to compromise on something they paid premium money for.

These are the Pixel 10 family's new camera-related AI features
Vlad, 07 August 2025 We've had a ton of Pixel 10-related leaks recently, but most were all about the hardware and specs - the design, the innards, even the prices. Now it's looking like the leaks are turning their attention to the software side of things, and so today we get some information about a couple of new camera-related AI features that will be launching with the Pixel 10 family on August 20. First off, Camera Coach. As the name implies, this will use Gemini to 'coach' you into improving your photography skills - in real time. It will suggest things like adjusting the angle, lighting, "and more". This will all take place by having Camera Coach read the scene and offer up its expertise based on what it 'sees'. Next up, Conversational Photo Editing. This too is pretty self-explanatory. You'll be able to make edits to photos by simply asking Gemini to perform whatever modifications you want - whether by voice or text prompts. This will cover changing backgrounds, brightening images, and removing objects. Obviously, the idea is to help you improve your shots even if you're not good at editing - Gemini will do it for you, just ask. These features will launch on the Pixel 10 devices, and will be available to all four of them. They could very well make it to older Pixels through a Pixel Feature Drop at some later point, but at launch they will be exclusive to the Pixel 10 line. Of course, Google could even bring the Conversational Photo Editing to Google Photos regardless of what smartphone you're using, but the functionality in such a scenario might be limited (at least initially) to those who are paying for a Google AI plan. The Galaxy Buds3 FE are now officially listed on Samsung's website
Vlad, 06 August 2025 Back in June we heard that Samsung was working on two pairs of more affordable TWS earbuds, and the cheaper of the two, the Galaxy Buds Core, have already been quietly launched. That leaves the Galaxy Buds3 FE, due to be placed in between the Buds Core and the Buds3 in the Korean company's portfolio. A couple of days ago a certification revealed that the Buds3 FE would have much better battery life than the original Buds FE, and today the company has listed these on its website for Latin America. They come with a $129 price tag, which may be identical to what they'll be going for in the US if they ever make it there. There are unfortunately no specs listed, just the price and the image you can see above, which shows two colorways. Despite that, the website claims the Buds3 FE are only available in one color: gray. Needless to say, this may be a premature listing, as we were expecting these to become official alongside the Galaxy S25 FE in September. If so, it will undoubtedly be taken down, but at least it gives us a pretty good idea of what to expect, price-wise. Source
