Anushka Sharma shares Akaay's adorable Fathers's Day wish for Virat Kohli, know the truth

Virat Kohli's offered a particularly endearing Father's Day message on June 15.
A pictorial representation of such a lie is spinning on the social media with a fake screenshot claiming that Anushka Sharma had shared the note written by her son Akaay urging Virat Kohli to withdraw his Test retirement. As a matter of fact, even Anushka simply posted a Father Day message on June 15, 2025, with an adorable message by their adorable daughter Vamika. No such plea had been made by Akaay, or any such address, so the viral screenshot is an out-and-out fake.
Vamika Kohli who is the daughter of Virat also gushed about her love to her dad. Their playful relation was outlined in her heartfelt message. 'He looks like my brother. He is funny. He tickles me. I play make up with him. I love him so much and he loves me this much (arms wide). Happy Father's Day - Vamika." Posted Anushka.
On May 12, 2025, Virat Kohli announced his retirement to Test cricket. His 14 years of career gathered 9,230 runs in 123 matches at an average of 46.9.
Before his retirement, Kohli had a tough Australian tour. Performance declined and he recognized that it was hard to stay in top shape through his mid 30s. A calculated stroke to conclude at a triumphant note.
India intends to break a 18 year long drought of winning the test series against England. They have played England 19 times resulting in only three series wins. An opportunity of a new generation to make history.
India is on a quest to end the 18-year drought in England, led by Shubman Gill. This was the last time it happened under the captaincy of Rahul Dravid. A major problem and a request to rise up.

ECB announces new Pataudi Medal for IND-ENG Test series' winning captain

The Pataudi name will remain a part of the India-England cricket rivalry with the winning captain of the upcoming five-Test series set to be presented with a medal named after the royal family that has a rich connect with the game in both countries. The decision to rename the Pataudi Trophy to Tendulkar-Anderson Trophy was taken by the England and Wales Cricket Board. A formal announcement was due on the sidelines of the WTC final at Lord's last week but it was put off in light of the horrific Air India plane crash in Ahmedabad. Renaming the trophy drew criticism from the likes of former India captain Sunil Gavaskar. However, it has been learned that Tendulkar himself reached out to the ECB and expressed that the Pataudi name should remain a part of India-England cricket. ICC chairman Jay Shah also had a role to play. "When this happened Sachin reached out to ECB and conveyed that Pataudi name should remain a part of the India-England rivalry. Mr Jay Shah was involved in the discussions. ECB has agreed to the request and decided to present Pataudi Medal to the winning captain," said a BCCI source. With the planned ceremony not going ahead in the UK, a formal announcement on the renaming of the trophy is scheduled for June 19, a day before the series-opener at Leeds. Tendulkar is the leading run getter in Test cricket while Anderson has the most wickets in the traditional format as a fast bowler. The Pataudis, on the other hand, have deep ties to the India-England cricketing landscape. Iftikhar Ali Khan Pataudi and his son Mansur both captained India and both played county cricket in England. With young star Shubman Gill at the helm , this series marks the beginning of India's new World Test Championship cycle and the dawn of a new leadership era. Excitement is equally high in the England camp ahead of the high-profile contest. In a recently posted video on YouTube, English stalwarts Jos Buttler and Stuart Broad spoke at length about Gill's new role and the weight of expectations that come with being India's Test captain. "I don't think we can quite understand the level of interest and the stardom that these guys have. You see it around the IPL, you're aware of it, but actually living that yourself… I think they say the Indian Test captain is like the third or fourth-most influential person in India, behind the Prime Minister etc. — so you really are put up on that pedestal," Buttler remarked, highlighting the immense pressure and celebrity status that follows India's Test leaders. "I think he'll be a mix sort of, of (Virat) Kohli and Rohit (Sharma)", said Buttler.
