Rock and roll's number one rule breaker is back in the saddle.
Tom Morello announced he's touring arts centers, theaters, music halls, plaza rock clubs and casinos all over North America this fall as part of his 'Tom Morello & Friends Electric Full Band Show Tour.'
While out and about, the Rage Against The Machine guitarist is slated to headline a trio of New York and New Jersey gigs.
Up first, the 61-year-old NYC native hits Brooklyn's Warsaw on Tuesday, Nov. 18. After that, he and the 'full band' are scheduled to rock New York's Irving Plaza on Wednesday, Nov. 19 and Atlantic City's Borgata Casino Music Box on Friday, Nov. 21.
'Coming at you this fall! The last Big Event before they throw us all in jail!,' the subversive shredder jested in his tour announcement via Instagram.
Prior to the brief U.S. leg of the run, Morello is lending his talents to the annual Rocklahoma Festival (Aug. 30) and then heading North for a Canadian tour he's billed as 'a night of stories and music.'
Over the past few weeks, the anti-establishment Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee has played a handful of shows and festival dates in Canada. And, while we don't know what to expect from these upcoming autumnal tours, we found that he delivered 20+ tracks at most of his summer gigs, according to Set List FM. His most recent non-festival concert at the time of publication took place at Toronto's Danforth Hall and was a 21-song affair that included RATM classics along with solo cuts and Nightwatchman favorites as well as surprise covers from artists as varied as Ozzy Osbourne, Woody Guthrie, Audioslave, Bruce Springsteen and John Lennon.
To close out the show, he shared the stage with Rush's Alex Lifeson and delivered a blistering interpretation of the legendary Canadian group's epic 'Limelight' followed by a rendition of MC5's punchy 'Kick Out the Jams.'
'The set unfolded like a revolution-in-progress—carefully crafted, loud as hell, and impossible to ignore,' Soundcheck Entertainment raved about another recent gig of his in Edmonton. '…it was a rallying cry, a family celebration, and a musical gut-punch all rolled into one. From Roman's [Morello's son, who plays in the band] scorching opener to Woody Guthrie's Canadian makeover, from RATM fury to acoustic rebellion, this night had it all.'

Duchess Meghan turns 44: British royal gets sweet birthday shoutout from As Ever brand

Duchess Meghan may be busy building her business kingdom, but today she's being crowned. The British American royal and entrepreneur, who turned 44 on Monday, Aug. 4, received a warm birthday shoutout on Instagram from her lifestyle brand As Ever, which launched in April to fan acclaim. The company, which has become known for its homey aesthetic and assortment of fruit spreads, herbal teas and baking mixes, shared a black-and-white photo of the duchess wearing a sun dress and wide-brimmed hat alongside its celebratory message. "Celebrating the woman behind it all," the company wrote in the post's caption. "She pours her heart, vision and magic touch into every detail, and today, we raise a glass to her! Happy birthday to our founder @meghan 🥂" See Duchess Meghan's daughter Lilibet: Young princess makes adorable cameo in As Ever teaser Meghan, who is married to Prince Harry, has yet to share any glimpses of her birthday festivities with her 4.1 million Instagram followers. The Duchess of Sussex has been more open about her family life with Harry, which includes children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, with a series of candid posts. Meghan first teased As Ever in March 2024 when she made a buzzy return to Instagram after a yearslong social media hiatus to introduce fans to the lifestyle project, formerly named American Riviera Orchard. The duchess later revealed she renamed the brand As Ever because the previous title, a reference to her and Harry's Montecito residence, "limited me to things that were just manufactured and grown in this area." The first As Ever drop sold out in under an hour, and one product — the limited-edition wildflower honey with honeycomb for $28 — had fans buzzing, selling out in less than five minutes. The featured products in the company's first collection included $12 herbal tea in three flavors: hibiscus, peppermint and lemon ginger. "Goodness in a glass. Right around the corner... Cheers to August!" the company wrote alongside the teaser. As Ever is produced alongside Netflix, which also distributes Meghan's lifestyle show "With Love, Meghan." The series premiered in March and was quickly renewed for a second season, although a release date has not been announced. Contributing: Taijuan Moorman and Jay Stahl, USA TODAY

Big Apple, meet Golden State: The New York Post is launching a California newspaper

The Murdoch family's pugnacious U.S. daily tabloid is headed to California. The New York Post Media Group said Monday that it is launching a West Coast newspaper in the style of its namesake East Coast periodical. The California Post will be a daily newspaper in the mold of the New York Post, with an early cover mock-up leaning in on its usual pun-heavy headlines and culture war interests: Sydney Sweeney with the headline 'WE DREAM OF JEAN-Y.' The expansion of the Murdoch family's business, which also includes Fox News parent Fox Corp., is among the biggest moves since Lachlan Murdoch took control of the media empire built by his father, Rupert Murdoch, 94, in 2023. News Corp., which publishes the Post, also faces a sizable lawsuit from President Donald Trump against one of its other papers, The Wall Street Journal, related to an article about Trump's relationship with Jeffrey Epstein. The New York Post, which has been publishing since 1801, has remained a conservative voice in an otherwise left-leaning region, enduring the ups and downs of modern media by sticking to its strengths: splashy headlines and aggressive reporting on local crime, politics and sports, along with an avowed right-of-center perspective. California — Los Angeles in particular — has become a flashpoint in American culture and politics. Sizable protests against immigration raids and quippy comments from Gov. Gavin Newsom have made the state a target of Trump's ire. News Corp. CEO Robert Thomson nodded at the Post and its slant in a news release for the California paper. 'Los Angeles and California surely need a daily dose of The Post as an antidote to the jaundiced, jaded journalism that has sadly proliferated,' Thomson said. Los Angeles is home to a wide variety of news outlets, including the Los Angeles Times and many entertainment-focused publications, such as Variety and The Hollywood Reporter, as well as newer entrants, most notably TMZ, which is owned by Fox Corp. The California Post will be based in Los Angeles and led by Nick Papps, who was most recently weekend editor at The Herald Sun, a major Australian newspaper and subsidiary of News Corp. He also was a West Coast correspondent for The Herald Sun. Having its headquarters outside the state has not prevented the New York Post from covering California news at length, but Post Editor-in-Chief Keith Poole said the publications will make the state a focus. California 'is the epicenter of entertainment, the AI revolution and advanced manufacturing—not to mention a sports powerhouse,' Poole said in the news release, adding that he thinks the state is lacking in 'common-sense, issue based journalism.'

Love Island: Who is the TOWIE cast member Ben and Tommy both ‘kissed' at same event?

Love Island's Tommy Bradley and Ben Holbrough have confessed to kissing the same girl at the same event, so who is the mystery woman? While appearing on tonight's grand Love Island finale, the pair were interviewed about their relationships with the women they left the show with. Tommy confessed he and Lucy were no longer together, after he had kissed a woman at an event he went to. He explained: "I went to my first event, free bar, unlimited drinks. Half an hour, five blue lagoon cocktails. This girl came up to me." Host Maya Jama then asked if he and Lucy were exclusive at this point to which he said no they weren't before adding: "I went to an event and kissed someone." Tommy then clarified that it was "disrespectful" to Lucy and the pair are now just friends. Before his interview ended Tommy added that he "didn't remember" the kiss. Ben was then asked about his relationship status with Andrada, whom he left the Villa with. To this Ben began speaking and said: "I was at the same event [as Tommy]." Andrada then added: "with the same girl." The crowd reacted in shock with Ben and Tommy looking embarassed. So who is the mystery woman the pair both kissed at the same event? Here's what you need to know about her. Earlier this week it was revealed Ben and Andrada had split after pictures emerged of Ben holding hands with TOWIE star Dani Imbert at the event Ben had attended with Tommy. The pair were said to be very intimate during the evening, with a source telling The Sun: "There was instant attraction from the moment they met - they spent two hours kissing at the party it was all very intimate. It's clearly very much over with Andrada as Dani seemed to be the only thing on his mind." Given Ben's closeness to Dani, it's likely she is the same woman Tommy kissed at the event. Dani, 27, is best known for appearing on ITV's reality series TOWIE, having joined the show in 2021. She has over 125,000 followers on Instagram. Love Island is available for catchup on ITVX now
