Style according to … Lucien Pagès: the founder of the eponymous PR agency shares his favourite hotels in London and New York, as well as his favourite films and TV series
Paris Fashion Week and beyond – from Saint Laurent to Sacai – Lucien Pagès is the definition of a PR maven. His eponymous agency, which last year was acquired by global marketing and communication group The Independents, has helped brands such as Jacquemus and Schiaparelli reach new heights and has propelled the careers of many independent designers. With offices in New York and Paris, and clients spanning the globe, Pagès is a globetrotter and a Renaissance man, as his tips on his favourite finds from around the world show. Here's a look at them.
What I'm watching (and reading)

I am a big fan of series – every night before bed I escape reality with a TV show. I like the best ones of the moment, but these are in my pantheon: The Sopranos, The Wire, Six Feet Under.
I mostly read biographies – movie directors, artists, collectors, royalty and iconic celebrities. I like to know about a talent's life and work. My favourite writer is Bret Easton Ellis. I am sad he is not writing more. I also have a list of my lifetime favourite films, from All About Eve (1950) to Elle (2016). (See below.)
The Insta accounts I can't stop scrolling

I love funny accounts with smart memes like @maviedanslaqueuedelacaf. I like @stylenotcom. He is so kind and clear in his posts – I think he is showing you can be buzzy on social media without being mean.
My grooming hacks
Lucien Pagès recently started using Acqua Sale by Bottega Veneta. Photo: Handout
I am terrible with routine, I have no patience for it. But I have been wearing Eau d'Hadrien from Annick Goutal since I was 15, and Guerlain Eau de Cologne Du Coq and recently Acqua Sale from Bottega Veneta. I also like the Purifying Auric Cleanse Bath Salts from Aman Essentials.

Who is Shubham Maheshwari, who plays Gat on We Were Liars? He's a Hollywood newcomer with no previous screen experience – but as a teenager, he was inspired by Leonardo DiCaprio
Shubham Maheshwari stands out like a sore thumb on the fictional Beechwood Island where Amazon Prime Video's latest drama series, We Were Liars, takes place. Adapted from author E. Lockhart's book of the same name, We Were Liars centres on Cadence Sinclair ( Emily Alyn Lind ), the daughter of a wealthy family who suffered a terrible head injury. Shubham Maheshwari (left) with his We Were Liars co-stars Esther McGregor (in yellow), Joseph Zada and Emily Alyn Lind. Photo: @shubham/Instagram Holidaying on her family's private island, Cadence tries to regain her memory with the help of her two older cousins ( Esther McGregor and Joseph Zada ) and their friend, Gat Patil, played by Maheshwari. Unlike his ultra wealthy, ultra blonde friends, Maheshwari's character is of Indian descent and was raised in New York in a working-class family; these differences play a role in Gat's relationship with the Sinclairs. He had no professional acting experience Shubham Maheshwari was studying economics when he applied for the We Were Liars role. Photo: @shubham/Instagram Born and raised in Dubai to Indian immigrant parents, Maheshwari had never set foot on a film set, had no screen credits to his name, and had no agent before landing his breakout role as Gat Patil on We Were Liars. Unlike his three co-stars, he also had no connection to the industry – Emily Alyn Lind, Esther McGregor and Joseph Zada all have parents in showbiz. Maheshwari was a university student studying economics when he came across an open casting call on Backstage, the 'LinkedIn' for models and actors, for the role of Gat Patil. 'Reading their brief character description of Gat, I immediately knew this was something I would apply for, but that was about it – I did not think or expect anything,' Maheshwari said in an interview with Backstage. 'I then immediately read the book and fell in love with this incredible story.'

Dish in Focus: Seasonal vegetables cooked together with black truffle at Alain Ducasse at Morpheus
Those familiar with renowned French chef Alain Ducasse will recognise his hallmark contemporary French haute cuisine. Having grown up on a farm in the Landes region of France, Ducasse places a strong emphasis on fresh, seasonal ingredients and using local produce wherever possible. With more than 30 restaurants under his belt today – across seven countries, spanning from Paris to Tokyo – Ducasse opened his eponymous restaurant in Macau in 2018, as part of the Morpheus Hotel inside the City of Dreams integrated resort. Seasonal vegetables cooked together with black truffle. Photo: Alain Ducasse at Morpheus Awarded two Michelin stars, Alain Ducasse at Morpheus is overseen by the legendary chef himself, joined by chef de cuisine Cedric Satabin. Having worked for almost four years as chef de partie at Le Louis XV – Alain Ducasse in Monaco, chef Satabin joined the Macau restaurant in 2018. One of the first recipes Satabin learned during his time in Monaco was the signature seasonal vegetable 'cookpot' – a dish showcasing seven seasonal vegetables, cooked and served differently at each of Ducasse's restaurants. 'This dish was created back in 1987 for Le Louis XV – Alain Ducasse at Hotel de Paris Monte-Carlo in Monaco ,' says Satabin. 'At that time, vegetables were not commonly considered as ingredients. This recipe was from his first vegetarian menu, Les Jardins de Provence [the Provence's Garden].' Alain Ducasse's restaurants use seasonal ingredients and local produce whenever possible. Photo: Alain Ducasse at Morpheus Adapting the dish to suit local tastes and the vegetables available in Macau, Satabin sources the peas and baby leeks locally, while the artichoke, trumpet zucchini, green asparagus, butter lettuce, radish, turnip, baby carrots, fennel, green beans, snow peas and carrot leaves are imported from Provence.
