Terrifying moment masked man 'robs Scots store with meat cleaver'
The male wearing a black balaclava is seen wielding a "meat cleaver" in the horror footage.
A terrifying video has shown the moment a masked ' robber ' brandishes what appears to be "a meat cleaver" at a shop worker before he "raids the store till".
At 8.15pm on Thursday June 26, the incident unfolded at Armadale's Premier Lower Bathville store.
In the clip shared with Edinburgh Live, a male with his face covered by a black balaclava and wearing a grey and black tracksuit top, with grey joggers and grey Adidas trainers, can be seen entering the store with what appears to be 'a blade.'
The petrified shop worker looks to be threatened before he is forced to open the till for the alleged armed robber.
The male appears to take bank notes from the till before exiting the store and leaving the area.
The brave shop worker calmly stands at the side of the alleged robber before moving in the direction of the shop entrance.
In a statement on their Facebook, Premier said: "There was a robbery at the shop at 8:15pm, if anyone know anything about this guy please let us know."

On Tuesday, in a separate incident, we reported that a restaurant supervisor hit out after a balaclava-clad gang attempted to steal her bike while she was working.
Footage captured by a diner at Le Petit Beefbar on George Street in Edinburgh showed a group of three thieves attempting to take the bike on Thursday.
Anna Mykhailova, 22, says the group used 'large rocks' in an attempt to smash off the lock before diners and colleagues at the restaurant 'teamed up' against the trio in broad daylight.
Anna said she was "relieved" her bike was not taken but says if the group hadn't acted fast "it could have been gone in minutes".
She said: "My colleagues told me not to freak out but when I found out what happened, my face completely changed - I thought it was a joke at first.
"There was three guys trying to steal my bike but a customer was screaming at them and trying to get them off
"Another bartender screamed at them too and told them to leave. Luckily, the bike lock did it's job because they had a rock with them and started smashing it but they couldn't get it off.
" The police were there within five minutes. The group was three males in balaclavas and all of them were on the same moped."
Anna said she paid a lot of money for the bike after saving up for over a year and it is her main commute to work.
She added: "It was a relief when everything was fine in the end but it could have been gone in two minutes.
"I had only had the bike for one year and I saved money for a while to get this specific one because I was involved in an accident last year.
"If I didn't have the bike, I don't know what I would do - I would be so devastated if it was taken."
Officers confirmed the incident was reported to them and said their enquiries are ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 7.20pm on Thursday, June 19, we received a report of the attempted theft of a motorbike on George Street in Edinburgh. Enquiries are ongoing."

New culprit enters the mix as Emmerdale fans ‘suss' who is out to get Joe Tate
A number of Emmerdale fans are speculating a former resident of the village is behind a revenge plan on Joe Tate (Ned Porteous). A couple of days ago, Joe discovered his posh car had been keyed. He immediately set about accusing Billy Fletcher (Jay Kontzle) adamant he was finally getting his own back after the marriage breakdown. Utterly convinced, Joe enlisted help from old contact Shaun to 'teach Billy a lesson'. Shaun was the person who stabbed Caleb Miligan (William Ash) before the kidney operation earlier this year. He was instructed by Joe to target Billy, but his plan never actually got underway. As Shaun held a knife close to him, Billy was approached by Jai Sharma (Chris Bisson), who needed him to work at the depot. Billy and Jai then left, leaving Shaun to face a frustrated Joe. When he got back to Home Farm, Shaun also learnt that someone had been in Joe's bedroom. He confirmed a mysterious culprit had stolen his medication and left a threatening letter, and that he still thinks it was Billy. Shaun then revealed that it definitely wasn't Billy, as he didn't see him leave the depot for the rest of the day. Confused, Joe has been trying to work out who is targeting him ever since. While Joe hasn't worked it out, some Emmerdale fans reckon they have. Taking to a Facebook page dedicated to the soap, audience members believe that Leyla Harding's (Roxy Shahidi) sister Alicia (Natalie Anderson) is the one sneaking around. 'Wonder if it's Leyla's sister Alicia that is targeting Joe because she wants revenge', one user wrote. 'Yes I think that', a fan agreed. 'I'd love it if she returned!', another user of the page said. Alicia hasn't been seen in the village since 2015, but it's possible she has come back after learning that Joe is the reason her sister is dead. In February, as part of his plan to find an organ donor, Joe spiked Noah Dingle (Jack Downham) and took him to a private hospital. More Trending It turned out that Noah wasn't a match, so Joe and Doctor Crowley let him go. However, as a result of him wandering around in a drugged state, Noah stumbled into the middle of a road, moments before Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) approached driving a limo. Charity was forced to swerve to prevent hitting Noah and when the vehicle stopped, a group of residents became trapped on a frozen lake.
