Jess Glynne criticises White House deportation video that uses viral Jet2 song
It comes after the White House posted a video to social media of people being handcuffed and escorted on to a plane, alongside the caption: 'When ICE books you a one-way Jet2 holiday to deportation. Nothing beats it!.'
The caption makes reference to the accompanying voiceover, which says: 'Nothing beats a Jet2holiday, and right now you can save £50 per person…'
The audio has become a meme in recent weeks and has been used in more than 1.9 million videos on TikTok.
In a post to her Instagram story, Glynne said: 'This post honestly makes me feel sick. My music is about love, unity, and spreading positivity – never about division or hate.'
Earlier this month, Glynne met voiceover star Zoe Lister on Capital Breakfast to recreate the advert live on the radio.
Glynne told the station: 'It's mad because I feel like when I do my gigs, I feel like when I go to sing the hook, I feel like they're waiting for me to go 'nothing beats a Jet2 holiday.' It is tempting but I need to take this seriously, it can't be a joke.'
The White House has posted memes to its social media pages before, including an image of Donald Trump's face superimposed on to Superman alongside the caption: 'The symbol of hope. Truth. Justice. The American Way. Superman Trump.'

Nicole said she never really improved her reading or writing skills and 'winged it' her whole life. But Nicole was determined to work and earn money so decided to work as a waitress despite dreams of working in the City of London. Determined to change her life, she went into her mum's back room and used the computer to create a CV that was 'really badly spelled.' With her CV in tow, Nicole got the train to Canary Wharf, bought herself a new outfit and leather handbag and started handing out her CV. "And there was me, walking around like I really knew what I was doing, but I didn't have a clue," she explained. She ended up in a recruitment agency and sat down with the branch manager as he went through her CV. "He was a bit bewildered. He couldn't actually believe the confidence that I had matching with the CV that looked like a five-year-old had made it," she explained. She was then asked to do a test, but she was honest with the manager and said she wouldn't pass while letting him know she was good on the phone and was happy to learn on the go. By the time she got to the station, he had called and offered her a job. "And that is how I started working in the city with literally not being able to read or write," she explained. "Basically the moral of the story is don't worry about what you haven't got. You are unique and you have got something. So fake it until you make it." Now Nicole is able to afford a 2023 Tesla worth £35,000 and goes on lavish holidays each year. The clip went viral on her TikTok account @nicoleisthisme with over 97k views and 7,000 likes. Friends pay tribute to 'truly special' Irish fashion designer found dead on Hamptons yacht
Tributes have been pouring in for an Irish fashion designer who was found dead on a yacht in the Hamptons region of New York. East Hampton Town Police confirmed that Martha Nolan-O'Slattara, 33, was found dead on a yacht at the Montauk Yacht Club in East Hampton. Ms Nolan-O'Slattara, originally from Carlow, was a fashion designer who moved to the USA when she was 26.
