KCMO crash now being investigated as homicide, police say
Officers responded to the crash around 6 p.m. Thursday and found the victim with life-threatening injuries; he later died at the hospital.

KCPD's Accident Investigation Unit was initially handling the investigation, but after a short time, preliminary findings showed that it appeared the man was intentionally hit, police said in a news release Friday.
The death is now being investigated as a homicide. The victim was identified by police as 50-year-old Terry Lindsey.
A person of interest was taken into custody shortly after the incident.
Detectives are searching for witnesses and surveillance footage.

Air conditioning units stolen from Wichita church
WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – Four air conditioning units were stolen from a Wichita church. It occurred at the Greater St. Mary's Baptist Church, located in the 1600 block of E. 17th Street. The theft occurred on July 16 as the church was experiencing the worst of the summer heat. The pastor said the theft is a huge loss. Mobile man hospitalized after gunshot wound

Gunfire strikes Mobile home, vehicle
MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — Two homes and a vehicle were struck by gunfire on Jackson Road.
