Malcolm Jenkins is an Eagle through and through, and he'll be remembered forever after the organization announced that he'd be inducted into the Ring of Honor.
The team initially invited the former Pro Bowl safety to the team's joint practice with the Cleveland Browns on Wednesday as a photographer to capture the on-field action, a hobby that he has started since retiring from the NFL in 2022.
Following practice, Chairman and CEO Jeffrey Lurie invited Jenkins into the NovaCare Complex to personally share that he'll be a member of the Philadelphia Eagles Hall of Fame Class of 2025, along with the late Bucko Kilroy. Jenkins and Kilroy will be inducted during the November 28 game against the Chicago Bears.
Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie said this about the announcement:
"Malcolm and Bucko are most deserving of our team's highest honor, having played integral roles on the 1948, 1949, and 2017 championship-winning teams," Lurie said in a statement. "Along with seven of his teammates, Bucko is a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame's All-Decade Team of the 1940s – an era in which he helped lead the franchise to back-to-back NFL Championships in 1948 and 1949.
"A captain on our first Super Bowl-winning team in 2017, Malcolm was a tenacious player who was beloved by his teammates and coaches for the thoughtful leadership and veteran presence he provided. We proudly congratulate both men, along with their families, and look forward to officially inducting them into the Eagles Hall of Fame in November."
An authentic Swiss Army Knife, Jenkins started all 96 regular-season games in his six seasons in Philadelphia. In five of those six seasons, Jenkins played 99 percent of the defensive snaps. Jenkins logged 100 or more stops in each of his six seasons, along with 5.5 sacks, 11 forced fumbles, and six fumble recoveries. Jenkins will finish his career with 11 interceptions and 77 pass breakups.

Colorado Buffaloes football legend Shedeur Sanders gets injury update after Browns left ‘disappointed'
Colorado Buffaloes football legend Shedeur Sanders gets injury update after Browns left 'disappointed' originally appeared on The Sporting News Colorado Buffaloes football legend Shedeur Sanders is returning from an oblique injury soon. The Cleveland Browns rookie won't appear in the team's second preseason game against the Philadelphia Eagles. Still, he will likely practice next week, with the hopes of playing during the preseason finale against the Los Angeles Rams. Cleveland's brain trust was reportedly 'disappointed' that they couldn't get to see more of Sanders this week. 'The Browns were disappointed, because they were eager to see Sanders build on his encouraging performance in the first preseason game against the Panthers. In that outing, he put three TDs on the board in his nine drives, including two high-level TD passes to receiver Kaden Davis,' Mary Kay Cabot wrote. 'Sanders was slated for 'a ton of reps' in the Eagles game until he strained the oblique muscle. Kevin Stefanski said the Browns would be very careful with him because of the nature of the injury and it's impact on a thrower, but the Browns are hopeful he can get back on the field next week. 'Sanders, who has yet to take a first-team snap, isn't realistically in the mix to start Week 1, but can gain valuable experience in live action if he can play next Saturday.' The truth? Sanders was never slated to get many reps this past week against the Eagles before his oblique injury was announced. 'The upcoming joint practices with the Philadelphia Eagles could prove pivotal for Sanders' trajectory. While it's unlikely he'll receive significant first-team reps against the defending Super Bowl champions, continued strong performances could accelerate his timeline,' the Orange and Brown Talk podcast crew wrote. 'For now, Sanders has done exactly what a developmental quarterback should: he's taken advantage of every opportunity given to him. The question is no longer if he'll move up the depth chart, but when.' Sanders isn't moving up the depth chart enough to start in Week 1. The Rams matchup will be a good test after Dillon Gabriel got his shot against Philadelphia. The news right now is mostly good for the "Grown QB."

Browns Announce Plan For Shedeur Sanders Following Injury
Browns Announce Plan For Shedeur Sanders Following Injury originally appeared on The Spun. Less than a week after his impressive preseason debut, Cleveland Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders suffered an injury in practice. Sanders suffered an oblique strain during throwing drills on Wednesday. Although he stayed on the field for the entirety of joint practice with the Philadelphia Eagles, he was just a spectator due to his injury. He's unlikely to suit up for Saturday's preseason game. "Yeah, felt it early, I think warming up and then felt it throughout individual [drills], so took a look at it. If it's a right guard, you can play through that. When it's a quarterback, you kind of need that muscle to throw," Stefanski said, via Pro Football Talk. "So, unfortunately, going to put him down for a little bit here." How long is a "little bit" for the Browns? No one really knows, but Stefanski said they'll be smart with their rookie quarterback. "We'll treat it day-to-day and see how it responds. But, want to be smart because he's a thrower — you can't push that thing." During Cleveland's preseason opener, Sanders completed 14-of-23 passes for 138 yards with two touchdowns. His performance was so good that fans assumed he'd move up the depth chart. That hasn't been the case though. With Sanders banged up, the Browns are expected to get a closer look at their other rookie quarterback, former Oregon star Dillon Gabriel. "The plan was always to give both of those guys start in the preseason, so we'll see how it shakes out," Stefanski told reporters Wednesday. Kickoff for the Browns-Eagles game is at 1 p.m. ET this Saturday.
