Braga looking to up his game in Gorgie
And the Portuguese-born forward (pictured left by Nigel Duncan) admitted that the 12,940 attendance was the largest he had ever played in front of in his professional career.
Braga thoroughly enjoyed the Tynecastle experience and naturally hopes for more.
Tonight (Tuesday, 19.45) Hearts are on their travels and visit Broadwood Stadium to face Scottish League One outfit, Hamilton Academical, who won their opening game 2-0 at Scottish League Two side Stirling Albion on Saturday.
Naturally, the man who arrived from Norwegian football after a spell in the lower leagues in his native country, hopes to get the nod for a second time from head coach, Derek McInnes, who admitted recently that the player was one of the top targets for the Tynecastle team.
McInnes was impressed with Baga's attitude and his determination to improve, and the player is impressed with what he has seen of the former Kilmarnock and Aberdeen boss.
Braga said: 'He is a great guy, and I am not just saying this for you (the media). He can tell the message in a good way.'
The affable player is also impressed with what he has seen of teenage striker James Wilson. Braga said: 'He has achieved a lot for his age, but he's a humble guy and I'm looking forward to keep working with him.'
And Braga is under no illusions about the challenges which lie ahead. He faces stiff competition for a place in the starting line-up, despite arriving in Gorgie with a three-year contract and a good scoring record.
The fans got their first site of the newcomer on Saturday, and he showed some touches in the 4-1 win, starting on the left side of the Tynecastle team, and then, after instructions from McInnes, moving more into the centre of the pitch.
Braga expected it to be physical in Scotland and it was on Saturday against Neil Lennon's side, but Braga feels that Hearts have a quality squad.
The 25-year-old, signed from Norwegian First Division football, where attendances only reach around 10,000 fans, added: 'Saturday was just the beginning. It was hard. It was physical. That was what I was expecting and I need to adapt to the type of football I will be playing here.'
It will be hard again against John Rankin's men at Broadwood and competition for a spot in the starting line-up could increase soon as Braga could be joined by two other newcomers this week.
Albanian winger Saba Kerjota and Pierre Landry Kabore, a Burkina Faso international who has been playing in Estonia, are reported to be in Scotland's Capital and are said to be close to clinching deals.

Viktor Gyokeres agent unhappy with transfer 'mess' involving Man Utd and Arsenal
Viktor Gyokeres' representative has accused Sporting CP of creating a 'mess' by offering Manchester United the chance to sign the striker ahead of Arsenal. Arsenal finally completed their £64 million deal to sign the 27-year-old last weekend following several weeks of negotiations with the Portuguese champions. Sporting fined Gyokeres €350,000 (£306,000), his entire salary for July, over his refusal to report back for pre-season training earlier this month. Sporting had also been angered by suggestions from Gyokeres' agent, Hasan Cetinkaya, that an agreement had been reached over the striker's transfer fee before the start of the summer window. However, Jonathan Chalkias, who works alongside Cetinkaya to manage Gyokeres, claims Arsenal were always the first-choice destination, despite Sporting's attempts to attract interest from rival clubs. Wake up to find news on your club in your inbox every morning with Metro's Football Newsletter. 'There was a gentleman's agreement with the previous sporting director. If Hugo Viana were still at Sporting, the deal would have been done in an hour. 'Everything was written, we didn't have time to start a legal battle. 'I don't understand how a player who scored so many goals and won three trophies didn't deserve more respect. The sacrifices we made were the turning point for the deal to happen. 'They offered Gyokeres to Real Madrid, they even made headlines with Man United, but there was a commitment with Arsenal. 'Viktor always trusted Hasan Cetinkaya's [the striker's agent] project: they agreed to move to a league with less exposure, like the Portuguese, to win titles and return to the Premier League. At the time, there were already seven Premier League clubs interested.' In a separate interview to WTV, Gyokeres admits his transfer to Arsenal this summer 'wasn't an easy path'. 'Everyone had to make some sacrifices to get here,' the striker said. 'It wasn't an easy path, but I think sometimes that's what it takes to get to the top. More Trending 'There were ups and downs, and the last month was very difficult. There was a lot of talk in the press and on social media, but people don't really know what really happened. It was mentally tough to go through that, but these things also make us stronger. 'I don't need to blame anyone, or to say what others did or what decisions they made. I don't gain anything from that, even though it seems like some people enjoy telling others how to behave. I don't need to do that.' When asked about the options he had this summer, Gyokeres replied: 'There were some clubs in England and Italy, but also in the Middle East. There were some options, very good options. 'Of course, you think about what you have in front of you. You have to make a decision, but from the first second I felt that this [Arsenal] was what I wanted. It wasn't a difficult decision.' There is no jeopardy in Chelsea's confetti spending when Saudi friends will happily fork out for their misfits, writes IAN HERBERT
There's nothing quite like some vast Saudi generosity to send you skipping around a potential breach of spending rules and into the transfer market. Chelsea really will be laughing all the way to the bank, having cashed a mighty £43.7million for the Portuguese forward Joao Felix, a bang-average player now heading to Al Nassr.

Michal Nowosadzki is one of the best bridge players in Poland, and if you are one of the best players in Poland you are one of the best players in the world. Now in his thirties, Michal played with Jacek Kalita on the Polish national team, winning two Gold Medals in 2015 and 2019. This simple but instructive hand cropped up in the Euro-Transnational qualifiers in Poznan in June and may well have contributed to another gold medal – but this time for Pierre Zimmermann and Switzerland. The principle of not letting the opponents alter your plan by what they do is an important one, and the stronger the opposition, the less likely that they're just handing you tricks. Michal's 2♠ opening was constructive and North happily raised him to game. West started with a high Club which held and a second Club. South drew trumps and then played three rounds of Diamonds, hoping to put West on lead, but it was East who came in and played a low Heart. Now what? If you think it's a guess, I'm afraid you are not among the world's best players. East doesn't have to play Hearts – he's got a perfectly safe exit with the fourth Diamond. Then you'd have to play Hearts yourself, and the only viable play is a Heart to the King. Don't let East get a good story – not to mention a good score; go up with the King as you would have done had you played the suit yourself!
