'Bina Parchi Bina Kharchi: PM Modi distributes over 51,000 appointments letters at 16th Rozghar Mela; launches new scheme for youth
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday, distributed over 51,000 appointment letters to newly appointed youths at the 16th Rozgar Mela in an online event.
This marks the 16th installment of appointment letters distributed to youth for permanent recruitment across various central government departments and ministries.
Notably, over 40,000 of these appointments have been made in the Ministry of Railways.
Recruits will also join health, postal service, financial institutions, among other departments.
While distributing the letters the PM said, his government's identity is that now jobs are given without any recommendations and bribes.
"... Our motto is 'Bina Parchi Bina Kharchi'... Lakhs of youth have been employed through such Rozgar Mela and are contributing to the development of the nation...
Some will protect the nation, some warriors of 'Help for all', some will strengthen the financial inclusion mission, and many others will enhance the industrial development of the nation... Your departments are different, but one body - nation's service…," he said.
While addressing the event, minister of state in the Prime Minister's office, Jitendra Singh, announced that each candidate will also be given the option to undertake the 'Mission Karmayogi Prarambh' module, allowing new recruits to better prepare themselves for the roles they are about to take on.

"Who are these sources?" Tejashwi Yadav asked Rubbishing the reports, the RJD leader also took a jibe at the "illegal voters" claim, saying: "These are the same sources that said Islamabad, Karachi, and Lahore have been captured." " Ye sootra ko hum mootra samajhte hai ," the former Bihar deputy CM said. He, however, said that the BJP-led NDA was "at fault for any dubious elements' names getting added to the voter lists". However, opposition parties have sharply criticised the move, warning it could result in the large-scale disenfranchisement of legitimate citizens. "The revision is part of a wider crackdown on illegal immigration, particularly targeting those from Bangladesh and Myanmar." On Friday, the Supreme Court backed the constitutionality of the EC's efforts, but urged that Aadhaar, voter ID, and ration cards be accepted as valid documents for verification in the ongoing process. Elections are also scheduled next year in Assam, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and West Bengal -- states that could see similar scrutiny of their voter rolls as the crackdown expands.

Blinkit plans transition to inventory led model from September 1; pings sellers to switch
Blinkit is transitioning to an inventory-led model as planned after its parent Eternal became an Indian-owned and controlled company (IOCC) in April. The Gurugram-based quick commerce platform has asked its sellers to switch to a new system where the company will now buy the inventory from them, instead of just storing it in its warehouses for an email to sellers on Saturday, Blinkit said it will shift to a new model starting September 1. From that date, the platform will directly buy inventory from sellers and brands, instead of having them list products on the marketplace. Currently, Blinkit runs two models. In the marketplace model, sellers list their products and pay Blinkit to store them in its warehouses. In the second model, typically offered to larger and more well-renowned brands with high frequency purchases, select sellers buy products in bulk and sell them through the platform. With this change, Blinkit will now take over inventory buying itself and list the products directly. During the company's January-March quarter earnings, Eternal's chief financial officer Akshant Goyal had said that assuming Blinkit owned 100% of inventory in fiscal 2025, it would have ended up deploying less than Rs 1,000 crore in working capital. This accounts for 15 days of working capital, and about 3-4% of Blinkit's gross order value of Rs 28,274 crore in FY25. 'Last date to opt into the new system (is July 30). No new listings or inventory will be allowed after this date for non-accepted sellers,' Blinkit wrote in its email to the sellers.
