73% down and still no bottom! Will Ola Electric break Rs 38 and slide to Rs 31?
have plunged over 73% from their all-time high of Rs 157.5 in August 2024. On June 26, the stock hit a fresh low of Rs 43.02, with technical indicators suggesting further downside unless key support levels hold.
According to Amit Trivedi, Vice President and Technical Analyst at YES SECURITIES, the stock continues to trend lower without any meaningful recovery. 'It is down nearly 50% so far in 2025 and still lacks stability. Due to oversold conditions on short-term charts, a minor recovery is possible; however, a major upside is unlikely. Eventually, a further decline towards Rs 39 is expected,' he said.

The selling pressure has been persistent, with Ola Electric currently trading below key moving averages. Mandar Bhojane, Equity Research Analyst at Choice Equity Broking, noted, 'The stock faced strong resistance near Rs 55 and has slipped below the crucial Rs 45 support level, indicating growing weakness. It's trading below its 20-day, 50-day, and 200-day EMAs, and the RSI has dropped to 28.87 — firmly in the oversold zone.'
Bhojane sees the Rs 40–38 range as a crucial support band aligned with key Fibonacci levels. A breakdown below this could open the gates for a slide to Rs 35–31. On the upside, the stock would need to decisively break above Rs 45.30–47.87 for any sustained recovery.
Adding to the negative sentiment, Kunal Kamble, Senior Technical Research Analyst at Bonanza, pointed out that Ola Electric recently broke down from a descending triangle pattern—a bearish formation. 'The stock saw two sessions of sharp selling, but the aggression has eased in the last few sessions, with muted volumes. This indicates a temporary pause or consolidation. The RSI is flattening in the oversold zone, suggesting a loss of momentum,' he explained.
Live Events
However, Kamble cautioned against initiating fresh short positions for now, suggesting that any bounce could be a selling opportunity given the broader bearish structure. He pegs immediate support between Rs 42.40 and Rs 38.90, with resistance near Rs 45.27–46.22.
Block Deals, Earnings, and Sentiment Pressure
While technicals remain the focus, recent corporate and social developments have also weighed on investor sentiment.
On June 25, 0.8% of the company's equity changed hands via block deals. Just weeks earlier, Hyundai Motor Company reportedly sold shares worth Rs 731 crore in a bulk deal, offloading 3.23% of the company's equity at Rs 51.40 per share—a move interpreted by some as a sign of waning confidence from a strategic investor.
The stock's fall also follows weak Q4 FY25 results. Ola Electric reported a net loss of Rs 870 crore, more than double the Rs 416 crore loss a year ago. Revenue fell 62% year-on-year to Rs 611 crore as deliveries slumped to 51,375 units. Consolidated EBITDA margin dropped to -101.4%, though gross margins improved slightly due to higher sales of Gen-3 vehicles.
Sentiment further worsened after a public spat on social media between CEO Bhavish Aggarwal and comedian Kunal Kamra, with the latter highlighting service complaints from customers. The incident drew criticism toward Aggarwal's response, adding to the company's image woes.
What's Next for Traders?
With the stock now hanging around critical support, traders are watching the Rs 38 level closely. A hold at this level could lead to a short-term bounce. But if it breaks decisively, analysts warn that Ola Electric may slide further to the Rs 35–31 zone.
Until signs of a confirmed reversal emerge, analysts suggest caution. The broader trend remains bearish—for now, the bulls remain on the back foot.

Wildlife board shoots down ethanol plant near tiger corridor
Hyderabad: The Telangana Board for Wildlife has rejected a proposal for a grain-based ethanol plant and 3 MW power unit at Metpalle village in Kagaznagar mandal in Kumuram Bheem Asifabad district, citing its proximity to a key tiger corridor and concerns raised by locals and forest officials. Promoted by Aithanoli Cibus Products, the 38-acre project site lies just 30 metres from the reserve forest (Asifabad Range, Garlapet block) and 64 metres from the eastern forest boundary (Gondi beat of Kagaznagar Range, Garlapet Extension IV). Although the land is technically revenue terrain outside notified forest area, it abuts the Kagaznagar forest division, a landscape increasingly recognised for tiger movement and breeding. Forest officials underlined the risks, pointing out that the corridor is regularly used by leopards and tigers. "The project is located very close to the tiger corridor and uses a lot of water and also discharges effluents and poses a threat to tigers and other wildlife," an official said. Importantly, even though the company managed to secure environmental clearance and forest clearance, the project still requires mandatory wildlife approval under section 38(I)(g) of the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972 — applicable to all projects in or near tiger reserves and wildlife corridors. 6 other projects get nod The board, which met on Monday, however, approved six other proposals. Four involved laying of optical fibre cables (OFCs). A forest official clarified: "Wherever there is already an existing right of way, we have cleared the proposals for OFCs. When there is no right of way, we have cleared but forwarded to the National Board for Wildlife (NBWL) for further clearance." Additionally, the board okayed the improvement of an existing road in the Pakal Wildlife Sanctuary in Mahabubabad district and gave in-principle approval for setting up a hospital on two acres inside the sanctuary, the latter subject to clearance by the NBWL.

Amreli diamond auction generates Rs 3 crore in one day, draws over 300 buyers
The Amreli Diamond Association (ADA) in Gujarat organised its first-ever auction of cut and polished natural diamonds, achieving sales of over 4,700 carats of diamonds worth Rs 3 crore in a single day. The auction drew over 300 buyers from Gujarat and Mumbai, with traders and manufacturers selling diamonds on a cash basis. The ADA, according to the people familiar with the development, had been working on the auction for the last two months, contacting diamond traders and merchants of Gujarat and Mumbai, and inviting them to come to Amreli. The auction was held in the Bombay Market of Amreli town in Saurashtra, on Saturday. The association had invited diamond traders from Surat, Bhavnagar, Jasdan, Botad, Junagadh, Ahmedabad and Mumbai. In the day-long auction, which started at 10 am and finished at 8pm, the buyers were given ample time to check the diamonds, said sources. On Monday, the diamond traders and manufacturers of Amreli met ADA President Lalit Thummar and shared the details of the total business done on Saturday. During the meeting, a decision was taken to organise the auction every Saturday. ADA President Lalit Thummar said, 'Over 300 buyers from different parts of Gujarat and Mumbai took part in the auction on Saturday and purchased diamonds worth Rs 3 crore. A good response was recorded. Since diamonds are cheaper in Amreli, traders from other areas visit the district to purchase diamonds. Also, the trade is conducted in cash.' 'In other districts, the diamonds are sold, and payment is done within 90 to 120 days. Here, we have adopted strict rules for cash sales. A polished diamond from the manufacturer reaches the broker, followed by the trader, who sells the diamond to the jeweller or diamond traders of other districts. At every step, the middleman keeps one to two per cent as his commission. If a diamond is sold at Rs 20,000 per carat, the traders will get Rs 16,000 to Rs 15,000,' added Thummar. 'Earlier, the traders had to compromise on prices while doing business,' he said. He further added, 'We are in contact with the diamond merchants of different markets across the state. Next week we are going to organise the auction on Friday as there is a festival on Saturday. We are also planning to construct a building for holding the auctions. The building will also have the facility of accommodation and lockers for the visitors.' According to the ADA, there are over 940 small and medium-level diamond factories in Amreli district, where over 50,000 artisans work as diamond polishers.
