Tom Brady's $375 million Fox Sports deal hits major holiday roadblock as Netflix bans shake up NFL broadcasting
Tom Brady may have found his stride as a broadcaster, but his second season in the Fox Sports booth is already facing serious turbulence. The seven-time Super Bowl champ, who signed a massive $375 million, 10-year deal to join Fox's top NFL commentary team, is reportedly being sidelined from one of the biggest TV moments of the year — the NFL's Christmas Day games.
Networks block top talent from
Netflix
's holiday NFL takeover
According to sources cited by Michael McCarthy and Ryan Glasspiegel, Fox Sports plans to withhold its biggest stars — including Tom Brady, Kevin Burkhardt, Michael Strahan, and Terry Bradshaw — from participating in Netflix's Christmas coverage of two high-profile games. That's a serious blow to the streaming platform, which is investing heavily in building its sports footprint by airing marquee NFL matchups like Cowboys vs.
Commanders and Lions vs. Vikings.
The move reflects escalating turf wars between traditional TV powerhouses and streaming giants as the NFL expands into digital broadcasting. 'Some rival networks are bristling at the idea of lending their on-air talents to the streaming behemoth,' the report states, revealing that ESPN is also barring its talent from appearing on Netflix's coverage.
Last year, CBS and NBC made exceptions by letting their announcers cross over.

But this season, both Fox and ESPN appear to be drawing a hard line. It leaves Netflix scrambling to fill high-caliber commentary slots while fans are left wondering what voices will guide them through some of the year's most-watched games.
Tom Brady's off-field life remains under the spotlight
While Brady may be benched from Netflix's NFL broadcasts, he's still grabbing headlines. The former Patriots and Buccaneers star made waves at Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez's opulent Venice wedding, where he was reportedly spotted 'chatting up' actress Sydney Sweeney, fresh off her own breakup.
TMZ reported that the pair closed down the bar and danced the night away.
Romantic rumors aside, Brady seems to be focusing on his broadcasting journey — but the tension between Fox's broadcasting priorities and the NFL's shifting media landscape could put him in a complicated position.

IND vs ENG Lord's Test: KL Rahul takes F1 route to re-establish Test career
India's KL Rahul celebrates after scoring a century during the third cricket test match between England and India at Lord's cricket ground in London, Saturday, July 12, 2025. (AP Photo/Richard Pelham) London: KL Rahul is in a comfortable space after a long time. It took 10 years of uncertainty for him to be here, scoring multiple centuries in a series. Having turned 33 three months ago, he wouldn't be wrong in believing he was running out of time to truly own a place in India's Test side. For a man who has never been shy to explore varied options to improve his game, Rahul sought help from Formula One professionals to clear his mind. 'In the last year or so, I worked on a few mental drills. I'm closely associated with Red Bull, so I had the opportunity to go there and work with some of the coaches that work with the elite F1 guys and other adventure sports people who require a lot of this mental side of the game,' Rahul said after scoring his second hundred in the series on Saturday evening. Go Beyond The Boundary with our YouTube channel. SUBSCRIBE NOW! 'I spent a bit of time with an expert who can help me improve my reaction time. Some mental drills and games that you can play that help you get better with your reaction time, and stuff like that. I picked this up from one of the guys that I worked with in Salzburg,' he added. Rahul's indifferent career may be attributed to the inconsistent batting positions given to him. He was batting at No. 6 at the start of the home season last year. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Concentrated Siberian Ginseng Extract 2oz Superior Ginseng Undo He accidentally got to open in Perth because former captain Rohit Sharma skipped the first Test of India's tour of Australia. KL Rahul press conference: On last over fight, Rishabh Pant run out and fired up Shubman Gill This is the first time in the last six years that Rahul has a clear mandate to bat at the top of the order. 'I'm happy batting at the top of the order and I've always enjoyed batting at the top of the order. In my junior cricket days, I've always batted at the top. So that's something that feels good,' he said. Rahul becoming consistent at the top of the order has laid a solid foundation for Shubman Gill and Rishabh Pant to dominate England. In previous years, he has had the issue of starting off a series well and then tapering off. If Rahul can make his form last, India could be in for something special. IND vs ENG 3rd Test: '600 runs and he is done... ' - Ben Duckett takes a jibe at Shubman Gill on Day 4 at Lord's
England's Ben Duckett, front, celebrates with teammates Zak Crawley, left, and Jofra Archer the dismissal of India's captain Shubman Gill during the fourth day of the third cricket test match between England and India at Lord's cricket ground in London, Sunday, July 13, 2025.(AP Photo/Richard Pelham) As the five-match Test series between India and England hangs in the balance, it is safe to say that tensions have boiled over. Among both Indian and English stars, there have been numerous back-and-forths, with either side trying their best to get on the nerves of their opponents and gain an advantage in the process. If it was Shubman Gill who previously went viral for labelling England's brand of batting as "boring" after their slow and cautious approach in the first innings, the English squad responded with tenacity when it was their turn to bat. Coming out to bat for India in the second innings, the captain found himself in hostile territory. A cheeky comment aimed at the skipper was caught on the stump mic, which immediately went viral on social media. Go Beyond The Boundary with our YouTube channel. SUBSCRIBE NOW! In an effort to unsettle the skipper, England opener Ben Duckett unleashed a subtle jab at Gill: '600 runs and he is done for the series. 600 runs is enough for this fella.' However, Duckett's comment did not provoke a reaction from Gill, who maintained his composure at the crease. Still, despite his calm exterior, Gill was forced to walk back to the pavilion after scoring just six runs off nine balls. His lbw dismissal by Brydon Carse marked a rare low point in the series, after he had amassed a combined 585 runs across the first two Tests. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Providers are furious: Internet access without a subscription! The Lord's Test has already produced several fiery moments across the four days, with Mohammed Siraj and Shubman Gill at the forefront. IND vs ENG 3rd Test: Is Ben Stokes caught in a second-innings loop? Another uncanny repeat at Lord's
England's captain Ben Stokes (AP Photo/Richard Pelham) Ben Stokes has always had a knack for dramatic moments, but this time it is the numbers that are doing the talking. In a strange and fascinating statistical twist, Stokes has now scored exactly 33 runs in the second innings of all three Tests in the ongoing series against India. Headingley, Edgbaston, and now Lord's — same number, same outcome. While such repetition might seem like a mere quirk, it also reflects a deeper pattern in Stokes' batting form this summer. Across six innings, the England skipper has managed 163 runs at an average of 27.17. Go Beyond The Boundary with our YouTube channel. SUBSCRIBE NOW! These are decent numbers for a lower-order contributor, but for someone of Stokes' calibre and influence, they feel underwhelming. In key moments, he has looked set at the crease, only to throw his wicket away before turning a start into something more meaningful. 04:14 Rishabh Pant is India's TRUMP CARD in tense chase vs England at Lord's That said, Stokes is not just in the team for his batting. As the fourth seamer, he has quietly played his part with the ball, picking up 9 wickets so far in the series. On a challenging Lord's surface on Day 4, it was his sharp delivery that knocked over nightwatchman Akash Deep and closed out the day on a high for England. Poll Do you think Ben Stokes will score more than 33 runs in his next innings? Yes No With the match finely balanced heading into the final day, England will be hoping that their captain can break the 33-run streak and deliver something bigger with the bat if needed. A game of small margins could still use a big moment from Ben Stokes. For real-time updates, scores, and highlights, follow our live coverage of the India vs England Test match here .
