‘Now You See Me: Now You Don't' Trailer Heralds the Return of the Original Horsemen
The first trailer for 'Now You See Me: Now You Don't' has arrived, and our four original horsemen are finally back together again.
Yes, Isla Fisher is back as Henley, reuniting with Jesse Eisenberg's Daniel Atlas, Dave Franco's Jack Wilder, Woody Harrelson's Merritt McKinney and Mark Ruffalo's Dylan Rhodes, after she sat out the second film in the franchise. Unfortunately, that means no Lizzy Caplan this time around.
Bobby Cohen, who originally developed and has produced all the films in the series, will return to produce the new installment alongside Alex Kurtzman of Secret Hideout. Meredith Wieck will oversee the project for Lionsgate.

Is the ‘Ballerina' John Wick Movie Streaming on Netflix or Amazon Prime?
If you can't get enough of the John Wick franchise, I have good news for you: a new John Wick spin-off movie, Ballerina, opens in theaters this weekend. And even though he's not the star, Keanu Reeves makes an appearance in the Ballerina movie as Mr. Wick himself. Ballerina—aka From the World of John Wick: Ballerina—is a spin-off film that takes place between the events of the John Wick: Chapter 3 and John Wick: Chapter 4. Ana de Armas stars as Eve Macarro, a ballerina training to become an assassin. That's quite the career pivot! Her character also appeared in the third movie, but was portrayed by Unity Phelan, whom de Armas replaced for the spin-off. Also starring Gabriel Byrne, Catalina Sandino Moreno, and Norman Reedus, with Anjelica Huston, Lance Reddick, Ian McShane, and Reeves all reprising their roles, Ballerina is a can't-miss film for John Wick fans. Read on to find out where to watch the Ballerina movie, and when we expect to be able to watch the Ballerina John Wick movie on streaming. For now, Ballerina will only available to watch in a movie theater, when it opens in theaters in the U.S. on Friday, June 6. You can find a showing near you via Fandango. Ballerina is not yet available to watch online or on streaming. Ballerina is not streaming on Netflix right now. That said, Ballerina is a Lionsgate release, and another recent Lionsgate release, Den of Thieves 2: Pantera, began streaming on Netflix after two-and-a-half-months in theaters. So, maybe you'll see Ballerina on Netflix in about two and a half months, around late August 2025. However, don't count on it, because plenty of Lionsgate movies have not streamed on Netflix. You will be able to purchase Ballerina on Amazon Prime Video eventually, when the movie becomes available to buy and rent on digital. You also might be able to stream Ballerina on Prime for free eventually, thanks to the new deal between Lionsgate and Amazon that will send the 2026 Lionsgate movies to Amazon Prime for the 'Pay 1' window, after the films play in theaters. Even though it's still 2025, according to Variety, Prime Video also got the streaming rights to a 'package' of 2025 films, too. It's not clear which films those are, and if it includes Ballerina. But it's possible that Amazon subscribers will be able to streaming Ballerina for free on Prime before the end of the year. Ballerina is not yet streaming on Starz. You might see Ballerina on Starz this year, because it is a Lionsgate film, and Lionsgate extended its output deal with Starz, despite the fact the studios are still planning to separate in 2026. Supposedly, under the new terms of the deal, Starz will have exclusive rights to Lionsgate films post-theaters, and that the window will now come sooner after the movie's theatrical run. But in practice, the recent Lionsgate films don't seem to be streaming on Starz at an accelerated rate. The 2025 Lionsgate film Den of Thieves 2: Pantera began streaming on Netflix about two-and-a-half months after opening in theaters, and yet the movie is still not streaming on Starz. So, that's confusing! Recently, the 2025 Lionsgate movie, Flight Risk, began streaming on Starz about four-and-a-half a half months after the movie opened in the theaters. If Ballerina follows the same release pattern, you might see the movie on digital in about two-and-a-half weeks, around late June 2025, and on Starz in about four and a half months, which would be around late October 2025. But clearly, not all Lionsgate movies are following that strategy in 2025, and some may be going to Prime. Right now, we don't have a clear look at Lionsgate's 2025 release strategy. If you want to see Ballerina right away, you should go watch it in a movie theater.

Gavin Newsom Meets Privately With Trump Ambassador Jon Voight in LA
Gov. Gavin Newsom and Jon Voight, one of President Donald Trump's three Hollywood ambassadors, met in Century City on Thursday to discuss the actor's 'Make Hollywood Great Again' proposal. A Newsom aide and a representative for Voight confirmed the meeting to Politico. 'They shared a commitment to working together to help to build up the film industry in the U.S. — particularly California and Los Angeles,' the outlet reported. Former Warner Bros. executive DeeDee Myers, who is director of the Governor's Office of Business and Economic Development, was also present. The meeting came as California's $750 million film tax credit plan remains in the air as state budget cuts have weighed down the process. The pair of California Film & TV Jobs Act bills passed their first floor votes in Sacramento this week, though it's unclear if Trump's tariffs and/or Los Angeles wildfire recovery efforts could impact the outcome. If successful, the bills would expand the types of productions that are eligible for tax incentives, offer a 35% tax rate to L.A.-based productions and increase the program's cap from $330 million to $750 million. Newsom also previously suggested a $7.5 billion film and TV national tax incentive program last month. 'The governor is fully committed to this proposed $750 million investment in California's film and television industry, which will protect good-paying jobs and support the workers who power the state's creative economy,' a spokesperson for Newsom said in a statement. The Oscar-winning actor's May proposal includes a carrot-and-stick approach, mixing tax incentives, foreign film tariffs and co-production treaties to encourage U.S. movie production. Mel Gibson and Sylvester Stallone are Trump's other two Hollywood ambassadors. TheWrap has reached out to Newsom and Voight's teams for further comment. Shari Redstone Diagnosed With Thyroid Cancer
Shari Redstone, the chair and controlling shareholder of Paramount Global, has been diagnosed with thyroid cancer and underwent surgery last month, TheWrap has learned. 'Shari Redstone was diagnosed with thyroid cancer earlier this spring,' her spokesperson Molly Morse told The New York Times Thursday. 'While it has been a challenging period, she is maintaining all professional and philanthropic activities throughout her treatment. She and her family are grateful that her prognosis is excellent.' According to the Times, Redstone first consulted doctors in April after experiencing fatigue and other symptoms. Redstone underwent surgery to have her thyroid gland removed, but the cancer had spread to her vocal cords, requiring further radiation treatment. Prior to this announcement, Redstone had shared her diagnosis with Skydance head David Ellison, as well as close family and friends. Redstone is waiting for FCC approval to allow a merger between Paramount Global and Skydance Media, which would see her exiting ownership as well as the merged company's board. She is mired in a lawsuit with President Donald Trump over a 2024 interview by CBS' '60 Minutes' with then-Vice President Kamala Harris, with a settlement of that lawsuit widely seen as a prerequisite for the FCC, led by Trump appointee Brendan Carr, to approve the merger. Paramount has made a $15 million settlement offer to Trump, but he refused, demanding at least $25 million as well as an equal amount in free commercial time. The lawsuit has roiled CBS News, with longtime '60 Minutes' producer Bill Owens resigning from the company in April over the settlement attempt.
