BBC presenter announces pregnancy in joyful update after engagement and new home
BBC and TNT Sports presenter Jenny Drummond has revealed she's expecting her first child, sharing the happy news with fans after a life-changing year that's seen her get engaged and move into a new house.
The 36-year-old sports journalist, who is best known for her coverage of major events like Wimbledon, the Women's Six Nations, and The Open, posted a photo cradling her baby bump on social media, writing: "They say things sometimes come in threes - engagement, house, now baby G. Feeling very lucky indeed."
While she didn't tag or name her partner, fans and famous friends were quick to celebrate the milestone. It comes after Cheryl's emotional tribute to Liam Payne in her first big job since his tragic death.
After sharing her wonderful news, Jenny's famous pals flocked to the comments to wish her congratulations. Broadcaster Laura Woods wrote: 'Amazing news congratulations! Xxx."
Jenny, who is a former tennis player who transitioned into broadcasting, also shared a more personal glimpse into her pregnancy journey.
Posting a behind-the-scenes video from Wimbledon, where she voiced and presented the BBC 's women's final preview, she admitted she was struggling with morning sickness at the time.
"Always so proud to present and voice the women's preview to the Wimbledon final of @bbcsport coverage," she captioned the clip.
"Not going to lie, I puked my way through this shoot – morning sickness has not been my friend but we got there thanks to pick n mix and most importantly to Joe Bamonte, @bensmith_cam and the editing team in Salford."
Jenny, who hails from Scotland, has become one of the most recognisable faces in British sports broadcasting. Her work spans tennis, rugby, and golf, and she's gained a loyal following for her intelligent commentary and professional presence on screen.
Despite her success, Jenny has also been candid about the hurdles she has faced as a woman in a male-dominated field.
Speaking to the Daily Mail recently, she opened up about the ongoing double standards in sports media: "As a female you get commented on how you look and what you wear rather than how you perform as a presenter or reporter," she said.
"Then people criticise the angle of your questions or how articulate you were in the way that you said something. That p**s me off, for sure," Jenny added.
She also explained why she keeps her distance from social media engagement: "I use Twitter /X for work but am not active on it. I'm sensitive and can't hack that (abuse) side of it, so I don't even bother looking."

"There's a legal responsibility on them under the genocide convention to prevent genocide - they are not doing that. They're in breach of international law. "And the ban against Palestine Action is to intimidate anyone who opposes them, and the suppression of Palestine Action is a legal monstrosity, and we have to oppose that ban. The Fury, it all seems as if one of his latest matches had gone well but then he notices a 'problem' and he was left overcome with worry as it dawned on him that he had sustained a hand injury. In a confessional, he said: "After I the fight, I took the glove off and it was massive. So that's when the worry started to seep in. Ah f***, my career is over." The former Love Island star, who famously suffered a hand injury in the past that stopped him boxing and then ultimately spelled the end of his now-rekindled relationship with Molly Mae Hague after he turned to drink, admitted that it felt 'just the same' as it did during that fateful time. He added: "It doesn't feel great, to be honest. It feels exactly the same as it did when it was bad. I can't stop it shaking and it's killing me. I'm just praying that I'm not in the same boat as I was." "The hand is still badly swollen and badly bruised. I'm praying that all the surgery that was done and performed is still intact. I'm praying that nothing has come out or come loose or that nothing is torn or damaged." Tommy was rushed to the doctor and told the cameras that all he could to was 'ask God to be there' with him throughout, and kept hoping that everything would turn out all right in the end. He decided to wait for the results of an MRI scan and 'refused to get into the headspace' of thinking that it was all over for him. In a moment of reflection, he said: "I won the fight but hopefully I ain't lost the war." As the episode wrapped, Tommy went shopping to welcome Molly and their two-year-old daughter Bambi back home. He said: "At the end of the day, my sole purpose was to get Molly and Bambi back here, back under one roof, back like before. I've had to sortmyself out and put my a*** in gear. They've stuck by me through thick and thin, and I'm so grateful for it." Asked how he felt about the future, he said: "To lose Molly and Bambi again, that's the biggest fear for me. Without training in my life, everything will fall down again. "It's like Jenga, so I guess we will just have to wait and see."

Daniel Dubois' next fight will be sooner than expected after Oleksandr Usyk KO

The British heavyweight star suffered an agonising knockout defeat to Oleksandr Usyk last month in front of 90,000 fans at Wembley Stadium. Soon after the loss, Dubois' coach Kieran Farrell parted ways with the team. The changes did not stop there, though. Earlier this month, Dubois stunned fans after splitting from trainer Don Charles. The famous boxing coach was in the Brit's corner for the three best wins of his career; against Jarrell Miller, Filip Hrgovic and Anthony Joshua. Dubois was crowned world champion following his win over Hrgovic when Usyk gave up his IBF belt. Following the news, the 27-year-old broke his silence, saying: 'I want to take this moment to thank Don Charles and his team for all the time, effort, and hard work they've put into me over the past 18 months. I'm truly grateful for everything. That said, I feel it's time for a change, a fresh approach for the next phase of my career, as I push forward to become a two-time heavyweight champion of the world, God bless. I'll be making a further announcement regarding my new team structure very soon.' In a recent interview with Sky Sports, Dubois' manager - Sam Jones - revealed that a December comeback fight is on the table. Jones confirmed he has a meeting scheduled with promoter Frank Warren next week to map out the boxer's future as he looks to become a world champion again. "I've been around Daniel for just over a week," Jones said of Dubois' split from Charles. "He's decided he needs a fresh team - a new voice, a new plan. But that's not to diminish anything Don Charles has done. He's done a fantastic job. They shared some incredible nights. The AJ fight at Wembley was iconic, and Don played a massive role in that. But this is life - Daniel felt he needed a change, and that's what's happened." Jones added: "Daniel just wants to win boxing matches," Jones added. "He's a fighter through and through. He was upset with his performance against Usyk, he thought he could do a lot better. But there's no shame in losing to the greatest heavyweight of this era. He's undoubtedly the best of this generation. "Daniel's lost to him a couple of times. He lost to Joe Joyce when he was very young. There's no shame in that. He's a former world champion, and now the sole focus is becoming a two-time heavyweight champion of the world." Dubois had been expected to sit out the remainder of 2025 and return in the new year. Who will Daniel Dubois fight next? Jones also discussed Dubois' next opponent and believes that all options are open, including a rematch with Joshua. The pair went head-to-head in September 2024 - with 'Triple D' going on to score a vicious knockout in the fifth round. He also predicted a future dust-up with rising star Moses Itauma. "One hundred per cent. That fight [with Itauma] is going to happen," Jones continued. "Daniel's 27. Moses looks like a phenomenal talent at 20. These boys are going to be the future. You've got Fabio Wardley riding a wave right now. We're entering a new era. Young Leo Atang was in the Sky Sports studios recently - he'll be in the mix soon too. These are the heavyweights who will shape British boxing going forward." He added: "He's a proud man, and I know he won't want to keep seeing that knockout by Daniel on his screen. I'm sure he'll want to right that wrong. And if he ever wants to, then let's get it on. It's all about what's best for Daniel now - WBO, IBF, WBC. He belongs at the top table in heavyweight boxing.
