Heartbreaking footage shows tragic British rider Sarah Yorke jumping fences with her horse - two years before fatal fall at equestrian show
Video clips posted on social media show the horse-rider competing two years before the fatal incident last week.
Underneath the clips, highlighting Ms Yorke's riding prowess, mourners sent their condolences.
The tragic accident at Aston-le-Walls Horse Trial s in the village of the same name in Northamptonshire saw the athlete fall at the third fence.
Ms Yorke was competing in the cross-country part of the eventing contest, a multi-stage equestrian sport which also has showjumping and dressage elements.
In videos posted on her Instagram account before the event, the mother-of-one shared a montage of clips of her at Eland races in 2023.
The clip showed the talented rider jumping over fences and hedges as she navigated the technical course on a chestnut horse Allegro.
She captioned the post: 'Reliving my round from Eland last year.'
Another post from 2023, filled with snaps from that year's riding season, showed Ms Yorke mid jump on her horse, dressed in full competition gear.
In the pictures, the rider could be seen jumping over a variety of obstacles as she made her way round different courses.
Ms Yorke's equestrian career was cut short after she was involved in a fatal fall last week.
British Eventing (BE) said medical professionals 'immediately' attended the Aston-le-Walls Horse Trials after the primary school teacher and mother to a seven-year-old girl fell.
But they said: 'Tragically, she could not be saved.
'Her horse, MGH HERA, was assessed by the on-site vets, walked back to the stable, and is uninjured.'
Ms Yorke and her horse were competing at the BE100 level of the British Eventing (BE) competition for their first time together - a division designed for grassroots riders and horses to gain experience.
She was fresh off a win last month with her seven-year-old horse, in the BE90 class at trials at the Swalcliffe Park equestrian centre, near Banbury, Oxfordshire.
The three-day horse trials at Aston-le-Walls, which were due to enter their final day today, have now been abandoned after the accident.
The equestrian centre had planned to host an unrelated showjumping and cross-country schooling day tomorrow which will go ahead.
BE chief executive Rosie Williams said: 'On behalf of everyone at British Eventing, I would like to express our deepest condolences to Sarah's family and friends.
'The thoughts of the entire eventing community are with them at this incredibly difficult time.'
The equestrian sporting body, announcing her death in 'deepest sadness', has said it will conduct a full formal review of the accident.
It also encouraged eventers to support each other after the fatality: 'This is a deeply difficult moment for the eventing community.'
The statement finished: 'To respect the family's privacy during this very sad time, no further details will be shared.'
Ms Yorke's mare, Irish-bred from showjumping sire Herald III, had previously competed at BE100 with two other riders.
The athlete had ridden in this division with another horse named Ringfort L'Allegro, who she evented with in 2021, 2022 and 2023.

Liverpool boss Arne Slot 'makes decision on Federico Chiesa's future' amid interest from Serie A giants
Arne Slot 'will not sanction the sale of Federico Chiesa' as it stands, with Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez having left Liverpool this summer. The Reds are looking thin in the forward department and while many expected Chiesa to be among the departures, reports in Italy suggest otherwise. Chiesa, Cody Gakpo, Mo Salah and Hugo Ekitike are currently Liverpool's frontline options for the forward spots, with young Rio Ngumoha backing up. The tragic death of Diogo Jota and sales of Nunez and Diaz mean Slot's answer on selling Chiesa is 'unequivocal', according to Gazzetta dello Sport. They say he is needed by the club but the situation could yet change depending on Liverpool's incomings in the final 20 days of the transfer window. Both Napoli and Inter Milan are the Serie A giants considered most likely to move for the former Juventus man. The protracted pursuit of Alexander Isak is one to keep a close eye on, with the Reds expected to test Newcastle's resolve with a second bid if given encouragement. And there is also interest in PSG winger Bradley Barcola, who as it stands appears unlikely to leave the French champions. Chiesa stayed behind while Liverpool were on their pre-season tour in Asia, with many considering his absence as an indication of a move away. But the Italian was dealing with muscular issues back on Merseyside and he was an unused substitute for the Community Shield at Wembley on Sunday. Chiesa was Liverpool's only arrival last summer but it was a frustrating campaign for the winger. Fitness issues and difficulty breaking into the starting line-up meant his game time was severely limited. There were flashes of his undoubted talent, including a goal in the League Cup final, but he was also part of the dismal FA Cup exit against Plymouth. If Liverpool are unable to sign any more attackers this transfer window, Chiesa seems likely to stay at Anfield and have the chance to give a greater account of himself this term.

Alan Shearer TEARS into Newcastle as he offers scathing verdict on the club and their transfer window - and names the two stars they should sign if £150m Alexander Isak joins Liverpool
Newcastle legend Alan Shearer has hit out at the club over their approach to this summer's transfer window. The Magpies have endured a disappointing summer having been rejected by the likes of Bryan Mbeumo, Joao Pedro, Matheus Cunha, Marc Guehi and James Trafford. Benjamin Sesko added to the list last week when he opted to join Manchester United from RB Leipzig instead. Meanwhile, Newcastle's all-time record signing Alexander Isak's future remains in the air with the wantaway striker attempting to force through a move to Premier League champions Liverpool. Shearer has delivered a sctahing verdict on his former club, writing in his BBC Sport column: 'So far, Newcastle's pre-season has been a nightmare. There is no other way of describing it. 'They have had a disastrous transfer window, missing out on every one of their top targets they went for, and on top of that they have got Alexander Isak's situation hanging over them as they get ready for the opening weekend.' He added: 'Newcastle went into the summer with no chief executive or sporting director, which I find amazing. They knew Darren Eales was stepping down as chief executive last September - 11 months ago - and Paul Mitchell left as sporting director at the end of June. 'I don't know why they haven't appointed anyone yet or if that has hindered them in the transfer market, because I am not inside the club, but from the outside it is not a good look. 'It's a mess, and it begs the question about who has making the big decisions.' Newcastle are keen on Brentford striker Yoane Wissa to fill the potential void left by Isak, with Daily Mail Sport revealing last week that a deal is expected to happen. Ollie Watkins is also among the club's potential targets, and Alan Shearer believes bringing in both the Aston Villa forward and Wissa would represent good business for Newcastle. Sherer wrote: 'If they are available, Brentford's Yoane Wissa and Aston Villa's Ollie Watkins are proven Premier League strikers and probably the best-case scenario from Newcastle's point of view. 'At the same time, I appreciate fans of those clubs won't like their centre-forwards being linked with moves away, the same way Newcastle supporters feel right now. 'Wissa's situation, in particular, sounds very similar to Isak's. It just shows you that this is something that happens in football all the time, and of course it is frustrating when you are on the wrong end of it.' Newcastle have added to their squad with the signings of Anthony Elanga, Aaron Ramsdale and Antonito Cordero. AC Milan defender Malick Thiaw is also on the verge of joining after the clubs agreed a package of around £34.3m Newcastle will open their Premier League campaign with a trip to Aston Villa on Saturday afternoon.
