Soap hunk Jason Callender has teased a steamy new romance twist for his character on the cobbles - James Bailey.
The actor, who took over the role earlier this year, revealed that James is set to lock lips with someone totally unexpected, in a plot twist that's sure to leave viewers stunned.
James recently left the cobbles with baby Laila after sister Dee-Dee asked him and his partner Danny to raise her newborn in the States.
But it looks like his Weatherfield story is far from over as he is set to make a return.
Jason told Inside Soap: 'James is going to have a romantic encounter.
'It's someone the audience will not see coming. When I found out, I was so excited - I thought, 'I don't even know if we can do this!''
Jason, who previously appeared in Silent Witness, also revealed he's desperate to share a scene with Corrie royalty Rita Tanner, joking: 'I see James and Rita on a cruise ship, sipping mojitos and putting the world to rights!'
Meanwhile, another Coronation Street legend has been spotted back on set - seven years after her exit.
The Sun revealed earlier this year that actress Catherine Tyldesley is making a return as Eva Price to Weatherfield.
A source told The Sun: "There has been lots of excitement on set because Catherine has been seen around the place.
Coronation street bosses bring back Catherine Tyldesley as Eva Price
"She's not back filming just yet, but it won't be long.
'Cath has been away for a while and worked on countless other projects but she really missed Corrie.
'They've tried to get her back a few times but the stars have never alligned.
'But when she was approached with the idea for Eva's return, it was too good of an opportunity to pass up.
'She'll start filming again in summer and be back on screen for autumn.
'She's so excited and can't wait to get back on the cobbles and it's definitely not going to be a storyline to miss.'
Catherine was an instant hit when she joined Corrie in 2011, as feisty barmaid Eva.
She was on the ITV soap for seven years until 2018 and during that time was involved in some HUGE storylines.
In her most memorable storyline she fell pregnant with tragic Aidan Connor's baby and attempted to give her daughter to Toyah Battersby.
Cath's character also enjoyed several steamy relationships with Adam Barlow, Rob Donovan, Jason Grimshaw and Nick Tilsley.
Eva left Weatherfield after she moved to France with her mum Stella.
So, what will bring her back to the cobbles?
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 or stream from 7am on ITVX.

ITV The Chase star Bradley Walsh opens up on being 'sacked' from role
Our community members are treated to special offers, promotions and adverts from us and our partners. You can check out at any time. More info Treasured TV presenter Bradley Walsh marked his 65th birthday this week, but despite hints at "slowing down", his busy schedule shows no signs of letting up. Walsh is a staple on British television, hosting popular shows such as 'The Chase', 'Gladiators', and 'Blankety Blank', as well as travelling the country with his son Barney in 'Breaking Dad'. However, before becoming a household name, Walsh began his career as a Rolls Royce apprentice jet engineer and even had a brief stint as a footballer with Brentford FC, until an injury cut his playing days short. Walsh's foray into show business began as a Pontins bluecoat entertainer, giving him his first taste of life on stage. However, his natural prankster tendencies, which often landed him in hot water at school and in previous jobs, ultimately led to him being sacked from this role. In an interview with earlier this year, Walsh recalled: "Once I left that to get into the entertainment industry and become a blue coat, I got sacked from being the bloke that was messing around. I thought that was the job! In the end I thought to myself, why don't I just get paid for messing around?". Post-Pontins, Walsh carved a career in stand-up comedy and remarked: "That was a very conscious decision. So, I've got myself a routine together," discussing his approach to humour. Reflecting on his style, he commented, "I was a very physical comic, bit like Norman Wisdom, not so many jokes. I was a very physical comic. And that's where it all started.", reports the Mirror. Celebrated across Britain, Bradley Walsh has been a staple on TV screens for over two decades, mastering roles in comedy, acting, and presenting. His notable roles include Danny Baldwin on the renowned ITV soap 'Coronation Street', DS Ronnie Brooks in 'Law and Order: UK' and as Graham O'Brien in the beloved sci-fi series 'Doctor Who' broadcast on BBC One, according to Gloucestershire Live. In 2009, Bradley transitioned to game show hosting by taking over as the host of ITV's hit quiz show 'The Chase'. He narrated how he landed the gig while popping into ITV to enquire about hosting opportunities. During a nostalgic chat with the ex-head of daytime television, she revealed plans for a new quiz show, to which Bradley promptly gave his critique. Recalling their conversation, Walsh shared, "I took it away and I said 'Yes, this can work, this will work' and she said, 'Okay, well we're going to make a pilot' and I said, 'I'll do it for you' and she said, 'Yeah, but it's only an office run-through' and I said, 'I'll do it for you, don't worry'." In an interview on the Tommy Tiernan show last year, Bradley Walsh recalled helping launch the pilot and coming up with nicknames for The Chasers. Nearly 16 years on, Bradley's passion for The Chase remains strong, with no plans to leave the show. Speaking to the Daily Mail, he reflected on his time on the programme: "Until people say they've had enough and start switching off, I'll do it. We've had such an extraordinary time together. It's the best job in the world."

Coronation Street star Gareth Pierce ‘so sad' as he addresses exit of show icon
To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video Coronation Street is set to say goodbye to a legend in tonight's episode as Eileen Grimshaw (Sue Cleaver) leaves the cobbles behind after 25 years. When I caught up with Gareth Pierce, who plays Todd Grimshaw in the ITV soap, at the British Soap Awards last weekend, he opened up about Sue's departure, telling me it was 'so sad'. 'We're hugely going to miss Sue,' he admitted. 'She's brilliant. Eileen is such an iconic character. 'But I think she's also a brilliantly equipped actress to see what else is out there. I think it's been a burning desire of Sue's for a while. I think she'll be brilliant in whatever she does.' Gareth clearly has fond memories of the actress, as he shared how welcoming she was during his audition process. 'Sue's amazing and she really welcomed me in, as well. I screen-tested with Sue as well as with Dan Brocklebank and Peter Ash when I was coming in and that was probably one of the things that got me the job was that they both treated it as we were just filming those scenes by that stage. 'I was so lucky that Sue was so generous that we fell into the mother/son dynamic very easily. That's testament to her as much as anything that I did.' As well as Eileen's exit, Gareth has promised 'lots to come' for Todd in the coming weeks. Viewers have seen him find love with Theo Silverton (James Cartwright) this year – though that has come with some obstacles. More Trending 'There's baggage that comes with Theo and that's already becoming apparent,' Gareth pointed out. 'The small matter of being married, the small matter of having two kids. There's been already some obstacles, even prior to finding out about the conversion therapy stuff. 'That's the thing, the stakes are quite high immediately because of what Theo is potentially giving up for the relationship, but also because of what Todd is putting on the relationship as well. The stakes are high for Todd because he actually really wants this one to work. There's lots to come.' View More » Will Todd and Theo's relationship work out, or is Todd set for further heartbreak? I went to the Soap Awards and here's everything you DIDN'T see on TV – from axed speeches to onstage blunders

The ceremony, screened on ITV, was dominated by EastEnders who picked up a total of eight awards, including the prestigious Best British Soap. However, The Sun can exclusively reveal a number of moments which were pulled from ITV's final broadcast - including a series of faux pas' from former soap stars as well as heavily edited speeches from Jaime Winstone and Patsy Palmer. One moment that failed to make it to air involved former soap star Jan Pearson, who played Karen Hollins in now axed BBC soap Doctors. She made a triumphant comeback to the Soap Awards stage following the programme's cancellation in order to present the gong for Best On-Screen Partnership. Jan was stood alongside co-star Chris Walker to hand out the gong to EastEnders duo Rudolph Walker and Angela Wynter. However, she was forced to read out the nominations a total of THREE times. And whilst one audience mole suggested on X the re-records took place as a result of the loud cheers for Corrie pair Vicky Myers and Alison King, The Sun can reveal an entirely different reason was behind the triple taping. Actress Jan suffered an on-stage coughing fit which saw her struggle to read out the names of the nominees. She gave it three goes but was affected by her tickly throat each time. The second and third attempts were both filmed after the gong was handed out with the audience already aware of exactly who had won. British Soap Awards viewers accuse ITV of 'cutting out' chants for EastEnders actress Elsewhere, whilst hostess Jane was on top form for most of the evening, there were a handful of occasions where she was forced to do a series of re-takes despite the ceremony supposedly filming as live. One audience member told The Sun: 'The warm-up guy made it clear from the start that they were recording the ceremony as live and so everyone had to be on their best behaviour. 'It also put a lot of pressure on Jane as she was expected to rattle through her hosting duties without a hitch but with so many links to record, she was bound to mess up on a few of them.' Just moments after the show kicked off, Jane was forced to re-record one of her links about hunky Coronation Street star Jacob Roberts. The actor, who plays lothario copper PC Kit Green, caught Jane's eye and she was quick to make a joke about his good looks. However, she tripped up over her own words and was left rad-faced as she admitted she had become too flustered thinking about Jacob. The audience erupted into laughter as Jane attempted to brush off her hilarious mishap and instead re-told her joke just seconds into the event. The moment left Jacob looking down at the ground after unexpectedly becoming the centre of attention. Someone else who suffered an embarrassing blunder was awards presenter Denise Welch. She was also forced into re-filming her entire segment after a blunder with her very own CHEE award. As part of a skit, Denise was handed a joke prize by Shirlie Kemp to mark her achievement of having played roles in all four major soaps. The trophy was made out of items connected to each of the four soaps but Denise held her prize back to front meaning the audience and cameras could not see what she was referring too. Just before handing out the award for Best Newcomer, Denise was halted by bosses and instructed to re-do the entire segment again and have the trophy facing the crowd. One onlooker told The Sun: 'Denise was referring to the trophy being connected to all four soaps but no one could see anything. 'It led to a lot of blank and unimpressed expressions on the soap stars faces when the cameras cut to a close-up hoping to get a hilarious reaction from them. 'It fell a bit flat but Denise was able to pick the mood back up when she was told of her error.' During the ITV broadcast, clever camera trickery saw the award facing the correct way as Denise gave her speech. Actress Jaime Winstone delivered a whopping five-minute speech that had to be edited down to less than a minute after she accepted the gong for the first award of the night for Best Single Episode. The star did not mince her words as she spoke about the honour of being part of the special episodes set in 1985 but less than half of it made it into the final edit. Patsy Palmer's X-rated speech about her vagina also saw some editing after she made a slew of vulgar jokes after accepting the award for Best Comedy Performance.
