Patriots rookie RB TreVeyon Henderson reacts to Madden NFL 26 rating
New England Patriots running back TreVeyon Henderson was asked about his Madden NFL 26 rating, as the popular video game is set to come out this month. The rookie second-round draft pick was officially rated at 76 overall, which is a pretty decent rating for a first-year NFL player. 'They told me it at the NFLPA. You know Madden, you know how Madden get with the rookies. I think my guess is like 60-something. ...76? That's pretty good. For a rookie, that's pretty good," Henderson told NBC 10's Kevin Moore. Henderson has been impressing during training camp, putting together some explosive plays and establishing himself as a key piece in the running back room. Offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels is clearly looking to get him more involved in the playcalling, and it led to him being one of the standout players at Monday's practice. The former Ohio State standout is one of those rare players capable of significantly impacting the game as a runner, receiver, and pass protector. Madden ratings get adjusted over the season, so it would not be surprising to see Henderson's overall rating increase by the midpoint of the year. Regardless, fans of the team and the video game should be excited about what Henderson brings to the table. Follow Patriots Wire on Twitter and Facebook.

Travis Hunter, Cam Ward, other NFL rookies receive NFL welcome from legends in video
In just a few short weeks, much of the NFL's newest wave of talent will experience their official welcome to the National Football League. But before those Week 1 debuts come, several of the top NFL rookies received their "welcome" to the NFL in a different and heartfelt way. On Tuesday, Fanatics released the latest edition of its The Locker Room series, where NFL rookies, like Travis Hunter, Abdul Carter, Cam Ward, and Ashton Jeanty among others, received a message and a signed jersey from either an NFL legend or current NFL player that they are compared to. Before they were legends, they were welcomed the rookie class to the @NFL with a special surprise from some of the game's biggest stars. REQUIRED READING: Madden 26 ratings: Travis Hunter, Ashton Jeanty, top rookies for 2025 Among the NFL legends to be featured in the video were Pro Football Hall of Famers Jerry Rice and Barry Sanders, who spoke to Hunter and Jeanty, respectively. In his clip to Hunter, who was listed as a starting wide receiver in the Jacksonville Jaguars depth chart on Monday, Rice shared that his work ethic will help his career take off as he didn't "let anyone outwork" him in his. Two-time Super Bowl champion Eli Manning sent a message into Giants rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart, who has publicly talked about his close relationship with the former G-Men quarterback over the last handful of seasons because of their Ole Miss connections. "It's been an honor to watch you these past three years break all my records at Ole Miss," Eli Manning said in the video. Added Dart after he read Manning's message on the signed jersey: "This is special. Not many people have this." Peyton Manning offered up a message to Indianapolis Colts tight end Tyler Warren, saying that he knows Colts fans will "be behind you every step of the way," just like they were for Manning, who won a Super Bowl and threw for 54,828 yards and 399 touchdowns in 13 seasons in Indianapolis. Of all the players featured in the video, New York Giants running back Cam Skattebo was the one who got choked up the most when watching his message from four-time Pro Bowler Eddie George. "It means a lot just knowing how much he cares," Skattebo said in the video. "Because coming from a great and somebody that has done it and knows what it takes. I know he's there for me if I need it." NFL Preseason action continues on Thursday, Aug. 7 with a triple-header of games featuring the Indianapolis Colts at the Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals at the Philadelphia Eagles, and the Las Vegas Raiders at the Seattle Seahawks. Arizona Cardinals depth chart: 6 observations with initial depth chart of preseason
We have the Cardinals' first depth chart. What do we learn? The Arizona Cardinals have a preseason game this week against the Kansas City Chiefs and released their first depth chart of the preseason. For the most part, it comes without surprises. The players you expect to see as starters are starters. That said, there are a few observations worth noting. Arizona Cardinals depth chart: Preseason Week 1 observations Zay Jones in the lead for WR 3 Marvin Harrison Jr. and Michael Wilson are locked in with top two receiver spots. Jones is listed as the top slot receiver. He saw his role grow late last season and has received plenty of praise from head coach Jonathan Gannon. He probably won't play in the slot, but he can. Greg Dortch not listed in the slot The listed position isn't that important, but seeing Dortch in a position other that slot receiver on the depth chart is new. Darius Robinson a starter Seeing veterans Dalvin Tomlinson and Calais Campbell as starters is no surprise. Neither is seeing the 2024 first-round pick, but he is ahead of Justin Jones, who has been a starter every season in the NFL other than his rookie season. Akeem Davis-Gaither in the lead at LB Mack Wilson has been established as the starting "Mike" linebacker, the player with the radio in his helmet to receive the playcalls from defensive coordinator Nick Rallis. Davis-Gaither leads Owen Pappoe for the other starting job, in what is one of the more notable position battles. Will Johnson a starter This is also not a surprise, considering the season-ending ACL tear to cornerback Star Thomas. But the trio of starters are a rookie, a second-year player (Max Melton) and a third-year player (Garrett Williams). No insight to returners Only DeeJay Dallas and Greg Dortch are listed as kick and punt returners, so we don't know who else might be in the mix and who else will get work in those roles in the preseason opener on Saturday.
