Oliver Antman to Rangers takes fresh twist as winger clear on transfer non negotiable
Go Ahead Eagles winger Oliver Antman has reported for training on Monday morning despite Rangers ramping up their interest.
A wide man is high-up on Russell Martin's shopping list having already expressed an interest in Crystal Palace 's Jesurun Rak-Sakyi – but the Eredivise side are also expecting an offer from the Scottish Premiership side for the 23-year-old Antman.
A fee of around £5million has been reported for the Finland international after he netted seven goals and an impressive 17 assists to help fire his club to Dutch Cup glory last term.
But Voetbal International claim that progress has faltered in a deal and Antman has now reported "to the training ground in Deventer on Monday morning."
Sheffield United had been strongly linked with Antman along with Club Brugge with Eagles' director Jan Willem van Dop insisted Antman wouldn't leave on the cheap.
The forward doesn't appear to be in any rush to leave - insisting it is more important for him to enjoy his football rather than land a big money move.
He told Finnish outlet YLE last month: 'The big thing is also that I enjoy myself on and off the pitch.
"I like living in Deventer and I like playing for Go Ahead Eagles. It's really good to be there.
'It wouldn't be a bad thing if I stayed in Holland. I enjoy playing there. But we'll see what the summer brings.'

The comments come after Breum's agent has told the Dutch club his client wants to join Celtic this summer. But the Scottish champions have been warned they must stump up the cash to sign the 21-year-old. The Hoops are in need of reinforcements on the flanks after Nicolas Kuhn joined Como in a £17.2million deal - while Jota is sidelined until next year. Van Dop insists the club won't sell on the cheap - having already knocked back a more substantial bid from FC Twente: "There was a question (from FC Twente), and that was about Jakob Breum. That's negotiable, but only if the price is right. "And we couldn't reach an agreement on that. What I did find positive was that his thoughts were certainly higher than the official offer Celtic ever made. "I've told Celtic that we won't be accepting their offer. I spoke to Breum's agent on the phone Monday morning, and he hopes he'll go that route. "We're certainly not the most difficult club, but it has to be a good fit. "And if we can't reach a financial agreement, we also have the right to say: well, it's not going to happen." Asked if the club had set an asking price in the region of £5.1million, he cryptically added: "We've set a ceiling." Panathinaikos man reveals chat with Celtic star about Rangers UCL tie
The Greek giants are aiming to turn things around, having lost 2-0 at Ibrox last week. Ahead of the match, Palmer-Brown has spoken to Carter-Vickers, whom he is familiar with from the United States Men's National Team set-up. He said: "From Cam, all I really got was they [Rangers] brought in some new signings. He was like 'Eight or nine new players, so I'm not really sure'. Although Brendan Rodgers may yet bring in reinforcements, Celtic's squad has been weakened over the summer with winger Nicolas Kuhn, who scored 13 league goals last term, Greg Taylor and Jeffrey Schlupp all leaving. Talented forward Jota is set for a long spell on the sidelines with a knee injury. Rangers, meanwhile, have been busy. Newly promoted pair Livingston and Falkirk are also expected to be in the mix, but there are strong arguments for both to avoid finishing bottom. Crucially, Livingston have persuaded top scorer Robbie Muirhead to sign a contract extension with the club, which will significantly help their attacking output, while Falkirk have done well to keep the bulk of their squad together after back-to-back promotions. Falkirk will have their takers at 3/1 to finish bottom, but they at least have stability under manager John McGlynn. The same cannot be said for Dundee, who have endured something of a summer exodus with the likes of Scott Tiffoney, loanee Seb Palmer-Houlden and Jordan McGhee departing along with key young midfielder Lyall Cameron. That quartet bagged 24 league goals between them last season, so new boss Steven Pressley could be up against it. Yamada can make striking impact Hearts ace Lawrence Shankland will stand out to many in the Scottish Premiership top goalscorer market at 9/2, but the value in backing him is arguably gone. The composition of the Celtic and Rangers attacks are not set in stone, so going for an outsider could be the way to go and Shin Yamada makes each-way appeal at 16/1. Striker Yamada is a new addition for Celtic, joining from Kawasaki Frontale, where he scored 28 goals in 58 league appearances in the 2024 and 2025 seasons. It could take time for Yamada to adapt, but he joins compatriots Reo Hatate, Daizen Maeda and Hayato Inamura at Celtic, so should feel comfortable and he has already looked sharp in pre-season.
