BJP releases song to celebrate 11 years of Modi govt
New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday released a song to celebrate 11 years of the Narendra Modi government in power.
The song titled 'Safar chal raha hai, desh badal raha hai...' brings together key achievements of the BJP-led NDA government, from the first to third tenure, across various sectors including financial inclusion, uplift of the poor and downtrodden via public welfare schemes, enriching nation's spiritual legacy and also securing country's borders with homegrown Defence equipment and military action.
The song, also marking the first anniversary of Modi government 3.0 was shared on X by Anil Baluni, BJP's national media head and chief spokesperson.
Sharing the video, Anil Baluni wrote, 'Today marks the completion of 11 years of the NDA Government under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This journey of 11 years has been a journey of service, good governance and welfare of the poor. Power is now service, government is now participatory, and good governance is now culture.'
The AI-generated video shows string of milestones achieved in the Modi government including the stellar success of the 'Ujjwalal Yojana', 'Make in India' initiative and also the historic consecration ceremony of the grand Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
The video, beginning with rainbows in the background, shows the changing face of India in the 11 years under PM Modi and lays focus on homegrown Defence technology in fortifying the country's frontiers.
The song, high on patriotism, has found good traction on social media, with many stating that Prime Minister Modi stood firm on his resolves in all these years and delivered what he promised.
A portion of the celebratory song depicts the inauguration of the Chenab bridge, four times the height of Qutub Minar, by PM Modi and also his march on the bridge, holding the Tricolour high.
It also urges the countrymen to set up individual goals and work committedly and assiduously to achieve them as this marks the beginning of a new age and New India.

‘Urban Naxal' is a fictitious term coined by BJP to gain traction: Maha Cong prez
Nagpur: Maharashtra Congress president Harshwardhan Sapkal said the term "Urban Naxal" is one conjured up by BJP as part of its propaganda and added there is "no such thing as Urban Naxal". During last year's polls, chief minister Devendra Fadnavis had alleged that Congress neta Rahul Gandhi is surrounded by Urban Naxals. Talking to TOI, Sapkal said, "Who is an Urban Naxal? Do they carry weapons like Maoists? The truth is no such thing exists. BJP conjures up such buzzwords only to gain electoral traction. The saffron party indulges in such things when it wants to divert attention from real issues." Fadnavis' statement made last year on Gandhi and urban naxals created a national stir, with both national parties engaging in a prolonged verbal duel. Sapkal warned this failure to fulfil promises could have significant repercussions for the BJP-led Mahayuti in upcoming elections, including local body polls and major elections in 2029. "Instead of Ladki Bahin, we now have angry bahins. Our sisters have been fooled by BJP-led Mahayuti," he remarked, highlighting the growing discontent among women who feel let down by the govt's unfulfilled promises. In addition to the Ladki Bahin scheme, Sapkal criticised the govt's handling of the agricultural sector, particularly in providing relief to farmers affected by unseasonal rains. "Many farmers are still facing financial distress. It is very sad," he said, emphasising the need for immediate action to support those who lost their crops and struggling to make ends meet. Sapkal said there is growing unrest in the public because of corruption in Mahayuti. "Many public projects are being announced without any logic. It seems infrastructure projects are more for the benefit of contractors rather than the people, who have now seen through this facade," said Sapkal.

Modi govt has given Maha 10 times more than UPA: CM
Mumbai: Maharashtra benefited greatly in the 10 years of the Modi-led NDA govt than under the 10 years of UPA, CM Devendra Fadnavis said. Addressing a press conference on Tuesday in the city as the Modi govt completed one year of its third term in office, Fadnavis said Maharashtra received Rs 1.23 lakh crore from the UPA govt in 10 years, while the Modi govt gave Rs 10.5 lakh crore, which was ten times over. "With the cooperation of the Modi govt, infrastructure projects worth Rs 6 lakh crore are ongoing in the state. Railway projects worth Rs 1.75 lakh crore are underway in the state. The Modi govt provided more funds for railways in one year than the UPA did in 10 years," he said, adding 30 lakh new houses have been approved for rural Maharashtra under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Gramin). "The first list of 20 lakh homes will be completed this year, and the Centre has suggested we prepare a new list of beneficiaries. This work will begin soon," he said. Listing out schemes implemented in the last decade, Fadnavis said direct benefits worth Rs 42 lakh crore have been provided so far, which include 81 crore people receiving free food since the pandemic, construction of 12 crore toilets, loans worth Rs 14,700 crore disbursed under the Mudra Yojana and Standup India and 55 crore new Jan Dhan accounts that were opened. He said 51 crore people benefited from the Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, and 77 crore accounts were registered under Ayushman Bharat. Pointing to the inclusive face of the Modi govt, Fadnavis said 60% ministers belong to Scheduled Castes and Tribes. He stated 45% beneficiaries in the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, 58% of various scholarships, and 51% in the Mudra Yojana are SC and ST. "Direct benefits to the underprivileged have lifted 25 crore people above the poverty line," he said. Comparing benefits obtained under UPA and NDA govts, Fadnavis said that in 10 years, the agricultural sector has grown fivefold. "Under the PM Kisan Yojana, Rs 3.7 lakh crore have been transferred to accounts of 11 crore farmers. The UPA govt announced a loan waiver of Rs 80,000 crore, the Modi govt provided Rs 3.7 lakh crore," he said. Women too have greatly benefitted with 3 crore 'lakhpati didis' across the country, 90 lakh self-help groups engaging 10 crore women, and paid maternity leave up from 12 weeks to 26 weeks, he said.
