Squid Game S3 gets brutal with new poster: A baby born into hell tests how low humanity can sink
Squid Game is returning for the third and final season with South Korean A-listers like Lee Jung Jae, Lee Byung Hun, Kang Ha Neul, and others. After digging into the story of desperation and money hunger in the deadly children's game, the upcoming instalment will test the worst of humanity. The trailer already teased the sound of a crying baby, and Hwang, in a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, confirmed it's not just random background noise; it's a huge part of the story that will change fates. On May 23, Netflix also unveiled a new set of pictures.

After giving Netflix its all-time biggest hit with its debut in 2021, Squid Game is about to get more intense than ever. If you thought the first two seasons were brutal, creator Hwang Dong Hyuk wants you to know it's just the start. 'In the case of Season 3, I wanted to introduce games that could really show the lowest bottom of human beings,' Hwang told ET. He added that since this season is the climax, with no plans of renewal in mind, he's pushing things to a whole new level to explore just how far people will go when forced to survive in extreme conditions. 'I wanted very intense games to bring out the bottom parts of human nature.'
The upcoming season will see Gi Hun (played by Lee Jung Jae) return to the game. The traumatic events of Season 2 and the chilling death of close friend Jung Bae still haunt him. While the emotional toll is high and will pretty much determine his gameplay this time, Hwang confirmed that the storyline won't be focusing on him much, as the spotlight will shine on the unborn baby of Myung Gi (played by Yim Si Wan), which will lead Si Wan's character to probably undergo a drastic and most shocking transformation in the story. 'Gi-hun goes through the most dramatic change… but look for Myung G's change as well,' he said. 'This baby plays a very important role in Season 3,' he teased. 'Not just for Jun Hee [Jo Yu Ri's character], but also for the fate of everyone inside,' Hwang continued.

The games, which were earlier limited to Tug of War with the deadly heights sequence, are about to get scarier too. Hwang says since Season 2 skipped over those fears, the finale, 'will introduce games that could really infuse fear in people with sheer height.' Expect some characters to fall. To sum up the storyline, Season 1 showed competitors in a cutthroat, capitalist world vying to survive. Season 2 diverged into the rebellion territory, showing Gi Hun trying to fight back, but failing miserably in front of Lee Byung Hun. But Season 3 is different. This time, Hwang says the core idea is about holding onto humanity, even when the world tries to tear it away. 'I wanted to focus on how [people] have to preserve their humanity amidst this intense competition,' Hwang explained.
The newly released poster backs it up with a room surrounded by wall paintings that feel straight out of a child's imagination. It shows Gi Hun leading the group of survivors with a determined look, while others behind him, Dae Ho, Myung Gi, Hyun Ju, Yong Sik, Geum Ja, Jun Hee, and Seon Nyeo, look terrified. Squid Game Season 3 premieres June 27 on Netflix.

Diddy trial: 3 new celebrity names come up as ex-assistant Mia makes damning revelations
Three new celebrity names have come up during Sean 'Diddy' Combs' federal sex-trafficking and racketeering trial. The names came up during the testimony of Diddy's ex-assistant Mia, who worked for the rapper from 2009 to 2017. Mia's text messages about A-listers were shown to jurors. Mia, who testified anonymously under the pseudonym, texted the Bad Boy Records founder on March 8, 2019, asking him to watch the Netflix show 'Love' by director Judd Apatow, the New York Post reported. In another text Mia sent Diddy on May 14, 2020, she spoke about the death of record executive and media mogul Andre Harrell, the man who is often credited with discovering the 'I'll Be Missing You' rapper. 'Puff my heart is broken about Dre. I've spent all week crying for you as well," Mia texted Diddy. Mia later also texted Diddy about actor Chad Boseman's death. Diddy replied, "How are you? Yeah, life is crazy." Mia shared various other details about Diddy during the trial. At one point, she said that Diddy placed a tracking device on his on-and-off girlfriend Cassie Ventura's car. "He's stolen my phone many times, he's stolen Cassie's phone many times," Mia told the jury. "He's put tracking devices on her car. I'm not sure what he's capable of. I was terrified.' Mia told the jury that Diddy allegedly sexually assaulted her multiple times. Diddy's defense attorney Brian Steel pressed Mia about why she did not accuse the rapper of sexual assault during settlement talks in 2017 for unpaid wages. Mia claimed that she originally asked for $10 million for bonuses, severance and overtime that Diddy allegedly owed her, and never paid. However, she settled during mediation for $400,000 – an amount that was split with her attorneys in 2017. Mia further claimed that she did not know that sexual assault could be used in settlement negotiations, adding that it was in 2024 that she discussed the sex assault claims with prosecutors for the first time.
