The Bad Blood star whipped fans into a frenzy this week when she talked about her upcoming record, The Life of a Showgirl, on her NFL boyfriend Travis Kelce 's show. The loved-up couple gave their first joint interview, sharing intimate details of their life from how they got together and their first date to baking sourdough. The move was an unexpected one by Taylor, 35, who usually channels her private life through her music. Two years ago, Travis used his New Heights podcast to declare his interest in Taylor, and the singer said the Kansas City Chiefs star's 'wild, romantic' gesture won her over. 'This kind of felt more like I was in an 80s John Hughes movie and he was just like standing outside of my window with a boombox, just being like, I want to date you,' she said. 'I was like, if this guy isn't crazy, which is a big if, this is sort of what I have been writing songs about wanting to happen to me since I was a teenager.' Proud Travis, 35, declared his love for her throughout the two-hour chat with his brother, Jason. He could not contain his excitement when she announced on the show her 12th studio album, which is out on October 3. Unveiling the artwork, Taylor is seen submerged in a bath while dressed in a bejewelled ensemble in the style of famous Las Vegas performers. Discussing how Taylor's record-breaking Eras tour, when she performed 149 shows in 51 cities, inspired the record, Travis said: 'She was literally living the life of a showgirl.' Writing the 12-track album on her days off between shows in Europe, Taylor said: 'I would do like three shows in a row. I would have three days off. I would fly to Sweden, go back to the tour, and working on this, I was physically exhausted at this point, but I was so mentally stimulated and so excited to be creating.' She revealed the record is about the life beyond the show. 'I'd say it is everything that was going on behind the curtain,' she teased. 'I'm so proud of it. It just comes from the most infectiously joyful wild dramatic place I was in my life. The effervescence has come through on this record.' As one of the few people who have had a sneak listen, Travis said it was a departure from her last hit, The Tortured Poets Society, which reached 1.76billion streams. 'They are all 12 bangers,' he enthused. 'It is a lot more upbeat and it is a lot more like fun, pop, like excitement. And I think it is a complete 180 from a lot of the songs on Tortured Poets, for sure.' 'Oh, yeah, life is more upbeat,' agreed Taylor, who promised 'melodies that were so infectious that you are angry' at them and 'crisp, focused and intentional' lyrics. She has worked again with collaborators Max Martin and Shellback, who she teamed up with on albums Red, Reputation and 1989 and songs Shake It Off and Are You Ready? Taylor had been dropping hints for months about the record, including orange signs and numerical references. Fans had even rumbled her duet with Sabrina Carpenter on the album's title track after the pair posted matching coffee cup stains. Now they are busy trying to decipher other songs, including speculation that Ruin the Friendship could be inspired by a rumoured fallout between her and actress Blake Lively. The star got emotional when she opened up about buying back the rights to her first six albums, which she did in May, ending a long-running battle over the ownership of her music. 'I want this because it was my handwritten diary entries from my entire life,' she said. As the world gets ready to go wild again for Taylor, she has been enjoying a slower pace of life doing wholesome activities. 'I would say all my hobbies could be categorised as hobbies you could have had in the 1700s,' she laughed. 'I get all my granny s***. I like to sew. I specialise, as you know, in children's purses and baby blankets. I make two things. I love to paint. I love to cook. I've a different baking obsession every six months. NFL makes decision on anti-racism messaging for 2025 after controversially scrapping it for the Super Bowl
The NFL is continuing its on-field social justice messaging for a sixth straight season, despite opting to scrap its anti-racism campaign at the Super Bowl earlier this year. All 32 teams will feature an end zone message of their choice at each home game throughout the season, selecting from four options: 'End Racism,' 'Stop Hate,' 'Choose Love,' or 'Inspire Change.' Once again, 'It Takes All of Us' will be stenciled in the opposite end zone for all games. The only change from 2024 is that 'Inspire Change' replaces 'Vote.' The decision comes after the league faced a backlash last season when it opted to scrap its 'End Racism' messaging for the first time since 2020 at the most recent Super Bowl, between the Chiefs and Eagles in New Orleans. NFL officials were forced to deny that the decision had anything to do with the presence of president Donald Trump in the stands for the game. Commissioner Roger Goodell also previously said that he doesn't believe the league's policies to promote diversity are in conflict with the Trump administration's efforts to ban diversity, equity and inclusion programs in the federal government. This season, the social justice messages will complement the league's other cause campaigns such as Salute to Service and Crucial Catch, which will also appear in end zones during select weeks. 'We're working hand-in-hand with players, and alongside our clubs, to amplify player voices and underscore what is most important to them,' Anna Isaacson, the NFL's senior vice president of social responsibility, told The Associated Press. 'For decades, the NFL and its players have been a unifying force in American culture and society that brings people of all cultures and backgrounds together to enjoy America's most popular sport. 'This is an honor and responsibility that the league takes seriously, which is why we actively invest in off-field programs and on-field initiatives that promote unity.' The league will use 'End Racism' along with 'It Takes All of Us' in the back of end zones for all international games for the second straight season. The reigning Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles will feature 'Choose Love' for their season opener against the Dallas Cowboys that kicks off the NFL schedule on September 4. They will rotate all four league-approved end zone messages throughout the season. 'Choose Love' was first introduced in 2022 and has been embraced by the Bills following a shooting that killed 10 people at a Buffalo supermarket. 'Choose Love continues to resonate across the league,' Isaacson said. 'It has become a unifying message of healing and hope, one that many players continue to wear voluntarily on helmet decals.' Players will again have the option to display one of the five messages on their helmets this season. Since 2017, the NFL has provided more than $460 million to dozens of grant partners and hundreds of grassroots organizations through its Inspire Change initiative, helping benefit communities in need. Inspire Change has supported more than 650 nonprofits and 2,100 players and alumni, matching grants focused on mentorship, workforce development, and food insecurity.

Browns rookie RB Quinshon Judkins won't face misdemeanor charge
August 14 - Cleveland Browns rookie running back Quinshon Judkins will not face any formal charges following his arrest for misdemeanor battery/domestic violence on July 12 in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Assistant State Attorney Barbara M. Driscoll issued a memorandum on Thursday declining to charge Judkins. Judkins, 21, was arrested after the alleged victim came forward on July 12 after alleging that her boyfriend, Judkins, committed battery late on July 7 and early on July 8 during a ride in a rental car from Fort Lauderdale International Airport to their hotel. "This incident was not captured on any video surveillance," the decline memorandum said. "There are no independent witnesses to the incident. Although the victim had photos showing injuries sustained, there were also videos in that same time frame where no injuries were observed to the victim. Additionally, the victim's injuries depicted in the photos could be explained by either account of the incident. "Finally, there was a delayed report of the incident. The delay is problematic as the victim was alone on numerous occasions without the Defendant, had the ability and resources to make the report without his knowledge, but chose not to do so. "For the reasons set forth above, there is no reasonable likelihood of conviction and this case is being declined." Cleveland selected Judkins in the second round (36th overall) in the 2025 NFL Draft. He is the last player unsigned from the draft. "We have been following developments in the matter which remains under review," NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy said to media outlets. Judkins had 194 carries for 1,060 yards and 14 touchdowns and caught 22 passes for 161 yards and two TDs in 16 games last season as Ohio State won the College Football Playoff National Championship. Ohio State defeated Notre Dame 34-23 in the title game as Judkins rushed 11 times for 100 yards and two TDs and caught a 6-yard TD pass. In three seasons at Ole Miss (2022-23) and Ohio State, Judkins totaled 739 carries for 3,785 yards (5.1 yards per carry) and 45 TDs, and had 59 receptions for 442 yards and five scores. --Field Level Media
