Katie Price stopped at airport security as staff 'didn't recognise her face'
Katie Price has revealed that she was reportedlty stopped at passport control in an airport due to security staff failing to recognise her. In a recent episode of The Katie Price Show, she opened up about the incident.
The former glamour model shared the "funny" encounter with her sister Sophie, whilst they had been waiting in line at airport security. Katie detailed how she was queuing at passport control when she noticed airport officials continually glancing her way.
She recalled how this made her feel "awkward," describing it as something that makes you "more twitchy." Airport personnel then asked Katie to accompany them to what she referred to as a "visa place", where she was instructed to take a seat.
Convinced she had done nothing wrong, Katie complied and sat down, and began watching "horse videos". She seemed not phased by the situation, confessing that she didn't mind sitting there as reported by the Mirror.
With an hour and a half until her flight, she explained she preferred this to wandering around the airport and dealing with the "anxiety that people are looking."
She recalled: "And then the man come back. I dunno what they do to check your passport, whether they Google your name or whatever, but then the police guy came back with a big grin on his face - was like, 'Hi'."
Katie went on to say: "I said, 'I don't look like my passport picture because I've had my face done so many times. I look different. Yeah, and they went, 'No, no. You're all fine. You're all fine. I went, 'Do you think I need to change my passport for a new one and a new picture? I said, 'Because this happens all the time', because my passport picture is so old, I don't look like it."
Sophie joked: "Well, it depends if you're going to keep changing your face." Katie mentioned that she also faces difficulties with electronic passport scanners, which frequently display "seek assistance" as they "obviously" fail to "recognise" her photograph.
Katie, who branded this kind of situation as "b******e", also disclosed that whilst in Dubai, she informed officials that she considered it a "compliment", since at her age she doesn't "really look like that".
Recent snaps from Dubai show Katie flaunting her slender figure in swimwear aboard a luxury boat. Following complications from a prior bum list, Katie vowed earlier this year to avoid repeating the treatment.
However Katie has seemingly had a change of heart and chosen additional filler during the summer months. She discussed the difficulties she encountered with one such procedure on the Katherine Ryan: Telling Everybody Everything podcast.
She revealed: "I tried that BBL abroad where they take your own fat and put it in your bum. It was so painful. And it just did not look right on me."

ITV Love Island fans 'know' who will win series 12 after spotting major clue
Love Island fans think they know who will win the current series - and they're adamant it's a good thing Love Island enthusiasts reckon they've sussed out the victors of the show's 12th series after picking up on a significant hint in the latest episodes. The recent Love Island instalments have been chock-full of drama, with partners switching at a dizzying pace. Yet, Yasmine and Jamie have stood as a pillar of stability amidst the chaos. Steering clear of the upheaval, the duo enjoyed a charming date last night, delving into discussions about their families and deepening their connection. For Yasmine and Jamie, it was a case of instant attraction when Jamie entered the main villa during Casa Amor, sharing a kiss with Yas shortly after his arrival. Since that moment, they've been utterly devoted to each other. However, their status as fan favourites became apparent in today's challenge, Couple of Sorts, where they were voted the most attractive by the public vote – prompting fans to predict they'll clinch the series win. "Yas and Jamie will win the whole show," one viewer confidently posted, reports the Mirror. The support for the couple is widespread, with another fan taking to X, previously known as Twitter, to proclaim: "Yas and Jamie ... winners! #loveisland". Another concurred: "hoping that yas and jamie will be our next kai and sanam, i need them to win and get married #loveisland. "Yas and Jamie 1st. Then Shakira 2nd. Then Toni and Cash 3rd after she goes back," predicted another, with someone else asserting: "Yasmine and Jamie got a date before Meg and Dejon, winners!" "Wrap up this series now and crown Yasmine and Jamie as the winners," declared yet another hopeful fan. Yasmine had a challenging time in the villa before Jamie's arrival, as despite exploring various possibilities, nothing truly resonated until Casa Amor. She'd shared kisses with Harry, Ben and most recently Conor, before establishing a significant bond with Jamie. Yasmine made her entrance into the villa as an early bombshell alongside Malisha and Emily - and now she's the last woman standing. Malisha was harshly evicted from the villa after Harrison opted to bring Toni back to the villa following dates with both women. Emily was sent packing when Tommy returned from Casa Amor with Lucy, although this new couple were soon ousted themselves when 'most compatible couple' Shakira and Ty chose to send them home. The Islanders tried to process Toni's unexpected decision to recouple with Harrison despite the fact he had been getting close to Casa Amor bombshell Lauren, and Toni was seemingly smitten with her then-partner Cach. Heartbroken and confused, Cach was seen confiding in Ty on the terrace, breaking down in tears as emotions overwhelmed him. Ty comforted him and wiped away his tears as Cach admitted he felt deeply embarrassed.

'Bitter' Prince Harry's 'realisation' about Meghan Markle after solo Angola trip
Prince Harry made a surprise visit to Angola this week, where he travelled alone to see the work of landmine clearance charity the Halo Trust Prince Harry's unexpected journey to Angola to emulate his late mother's humanitarian efforts took many by surprise. It was only after he had arrived earlier this week that it became public knowledge Harry was in the African nation, where he visited a minefield in a poignant reminder of Princess Diana's visit shortly before her death. As a patron of the landmine clearance charity the Halo Trust, he travelled to Angola and engaged with families living near Africa's largest minefield. Harry undertook the trip without Meghan, who stayed in California with their kids, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, due to safety concerns cited by sources for the Duke of Sussex's solo visit. This move also signifies a notable shift from the entertainment-focused endeavours Harry has pursued since stepping back from Royal duties with Meghan, including deals with Netflix and Spotify. However, Royal commentator Jennie Bond sees this type of humanitarian work as Harry's true calling. Speaking to the Mirror, the former BBC Royal correspondent said: "I think this is precisely the sort of work that Harry should do. It is not only a hugely worthwhile cause, but it also connects him with his mother, which is something he yearns for. "I think he is coming to recognise that the LA celebrity world is one in which he is not especially comfortable. And he seems quite willing to let Meghan take the limelight over there. He speaks frequently about a life of service, and trips like this certainly serve a very good cause indeed," reports the Mirror. During his visit, Harry highlighted the danger posed by these explosive devices in Angola, the very same country Diana, Princess of Wales, travelled to in 1997 to campaign for a worldwide ban on such weapons. Just months before her tragic death in a car accident, Diana donned protective gear and a visor as she walked through a minefield being cleared by the Halo Trust. She made her way along a safe corridor in a Huambo minefield, with the striking photographs of her wearing body armour and a face shield bringing worldwide attention to the anti-landmine movement. Jennie continued: "I was with Diana in Angola all those years ago, and the impact she made by walking across a minefield was enormous. She told me that she was simply trying to be a humanitarian, and that is something Harry can also aspire to. "I remember her befriending a 13-year-old girl called Sandra as she went through the pain of having yet another prosthetic limb fitted. Her leg had been blown off by a landmine. Years later, Harry met Sandra in Angola and reflected on all his mother had done. "Sadly, despite all the publicity the Princess's trip engendered for the cause, landmines remain a scourge in Angola. So I think it's brilliant that Harry is continuing her work - and keeping her memory alive." Meanwhile, Harry, who also mirrored Diana's actions in a 2019 visit to an Angolan minefield, remarked: "Children should never have to live in fear of playing outside or walking to school. "Here in Angola, over three decades later, the remnants of war still threaten lives every day." Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! The Halo Trust has reported that since 2008, at least 60,000 individuals in Angola have been killed or injured by landmines. The organisation has cleared more than 120,000 landmines and 100,000 bombs from the nation. Diana was vocal against the sale and use of landmines and notably called for an international ban on them during her 1997 trip. Regarding Harry's most recent journey, the Halo Trust commented: "This renewed commitment builds on previous support from the Angolan government, which was first highlighted when the duke visited the country in 2019 to retrace the path of his late mother. That visit showcased how once-dangerous land could be transformed into a safe and thriving community."

Daredevil Felix Baumgartner who made space edge jump dies in paragliding accident
Austrian daredevil Felix Baumgartner has died following a paragliding crash in Italy. Austrian daredevil Felix Baumgartner, who gained fame in 2012 for his leap from the edge of space, has tragically died in a paragliding accident. The extreme sports enthusiast was declared dead this afternoon at the age of 56. Baumgartner passed following a paragliding mishap in Italy. Local reports indicate that his craft landed in a swimming pool at a holiday resort, injuring a young girl on the ground. Sources from the local fire and rescue service reported that Felix had expressed feeling unwell while airborne, subsequently losing control of the paraglider. The girl struck by his paraglider was swiftly taken to hospital, but her condition is not considered serious. Felix Baumgartner achieved global recognition in 2012 when he successfully executed a record-breaking jump from the stratosphere, a staggering height of 24 miles. Having ascended to this altitude in a metal cabin attached to weather balloons, he made the jump unaided, deploying his parachute only 1.5 miles above the ground, reports the Mirror. His descent from the 'edge of space' spanned approximately 10 minutes. The Stratos jump was sponsored by Red Bull, and became the centrepiece of a significant advertising campaign by the energy drink company. In 2014, brand new footage of daredevil Felix Baumgartner's record breaking skydive from the edge of space was released. The footage, captured using body mounted GoPro cameras, gave a first person view of the epic space jump, which saw him freefall more than 24 miles. Baumgartner's amazing stunt, which broke multiple skydiving world records in October 2012, was broadcast live on the internet. But the newly released footage gives a whole new perspective on the jump, allowing viewers to watch the freefall as he would have seen it. Baumgartner, 43, reached a top velocity of 833.9 miles per hour, making him the first man to break the sound barrier in freefall. He is also set a new record for the highest ever jump, leaping from the capsule at 128,000 ft, as well as the highest ever manned balloon flight. Felix, 43, jumped from a tiny shelf outside the 11-by-8-foot fiberglass and acrylic capsule that was carried to 128,000 feet by an enormous balloon. Baumgartner's ascent into the stratosphere was in a capsule attached to a 30 million-cubic-foot (850,000-cubic-metre) plastic balloon, which was about the thickness of a dry cleaning bag. The tragedy comes after a 24-year-old Brit was killed in a tragic wingsuit flight after he crashed into a Swiss mountain last month. The thrill-seeker had successfully completed one jump, from a notorious launch site known as 'The Dumpster'. However, when he returned for a second leap disaster struck. The latest tragedy unfolded in Switzerland, when a man reportedly lost control and smashed into a cliff at 6,500 feet on Saturday. Emergency services later recovered his body.
