Jeremy Kyle's brutal reaction to celebs 'I hadn't heard from in years' after TV return

Daily Mirror27-04-2025

TV personality Jeremy Kyle has shared his damning response to fellow celebs who tried to make contact with him after he made a return to our screens recently
TV personality Jeremy Kyle has revealed his brutal reaction to fellow celebs who reached out to him after he made a return to our TV screens recently, after six years away.
During a chat on the most recent episode of the Spooning with Mark Wogan podcast, Jeremy shared how he has received an influx of messages after his appearance on Kate Garraway's Life Stories on ITV earlier this month (April 1).

However, after his popular self-titled show was taken off air in 2019, he has now named some of the celebs that came to his aid at the time and he also showed his disregard for others who have only recently made contact.

He said: "You find out who your friends are, Piers Morgan instantly (reached out) rock solid, Kate Garraway rock solid, lots of people and that's fine. You know, I can also tell you three weeks ago when Kate Garraway's Life Stories interview went out, I got text messages from people I haven't heard from in six years."
Sharing how it helped him realise who his true friends are, he added: "I didn't reply because I think that's one of the things that was probably a good thing out of that horror."
Launching on ITV back in 2005 the Jeremy Kyle Show saw the host speak with family members, couples, and exes would come on the show in a bid to rectify a range of personal issues that could span from addictions to break-ups and parenting.
Despite being one of channel's most popular shows at the time, it was abruptly cancelled in 2019 after a 63-year-old former guest of the show Steve Dymond, was found dead after he took his own life.

During his recent chat with Kate Garraway on her ITV show, Jeremy said that he doesn't think his former programme will ever make a return, saying: "There's that great line, 'Do you want me to lie or do you want me to be honest?' That was what people at that time craved."
He added: "We live in a world now where people aren't honest, are they? They're too busy worrying about what kind of response they're going to get."
Meanwhile, it was heard at an inquest last year that Mr Dymond had been left "distraught" after failing a lie detector test on the show. During proceedings it was also said that the host had told him to "grow a pair" and he added: "I wouldn't trust you with a chocolate button, mate; I don't think you know what the truth is."

After the inquest proceedings had come to a close, it was concluded that there was no "clear and reliable causal connection" between Steve Dymond's appearance on The Jeremy Kyle Show and his suicide.
In a subsequent statement, Kyle said he was "exonerated".

Orlando Bloom lets slip Pirates of the Caribbean 'return'

Orlando Bloom has teased a return to the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, saying he would love to 'get the band back together' on ITV's This Morning Orlando Bloom dropped a major hint at a possible comeback of the swashbuckling Pirates of the Caribbean series. The actor famed for his role as Will Turner spilled all during an interview on This Morning, sparking speculation of a sixth instalment of the iconic film franchise that first set sail in 2003 with The Curse of the Black Pearl. ‌ With Dead Men Tell No Tales having made its voyage in 2017, chatter about a new chapter has been rife, and Orlando stoked the gossip with a coy: "Who knows?" ‌ He teased further: "I can't say anything at the moment because I really don't know. They're trying to work out what it would all look like. "I personally think it would be great to get the band back together. But there are always different ideas, so we'll see where it lands." The Lord of the Rings actor's comments come after producer Jerry Bruckheimer addressed a return of Pirates of the Caribbean. When asked by about the future of the franchise and that of Top Gun, he replied: "It's hard to tell. You don't know, you really don't know." Elaborating, he noted the uncertainty surrounding movie projects, but assured that rebooting Pirates is less complex since it doesn't hinge on particular stars' schedules. ‌ He said: "But we're gonna reboot Pirates, so that is easier to put together because you don't have to wait for certain actors." Despite Orlando's eagerness to "get the band back together," he was notably absent from the fourth instalment of Pirates of the Caribbean. In a 2010 interview about his potential involvement in the fourth film, he stated: "No, definitely not... I think Will is sort of swimming around with the fish at the bottom of the ocean. "". "I had a great time making those movies," he added. "I just really wanted to do different things, but I think it's going to be great." This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV1.

Love Island's Sammy Root reveals bombshells get major clue before villa entry Love Island star Sammy Root won the show back in 2023 and then returned for All Stars Elma and Sammy are still going strong (Image: Ricardo De Leca/ITV/Shutterstock ) Love Island sensation Sammy Root has spilled the beans on what it's like to be the villa's bombshell. Sammy, who clinched the ITV title in 2023 and bagged £50,000 with Jess Harding, made his entrance as a bombshell in the first week, charming both Jess and the viewers at home. ‌ ITV enthusiasts might remember Sammy's return in Love Island: All Stars earlier this year. Although he didn't win this time around, he struck up a romance with Elma Pazar, whom he later told OK! was "the loveliest girl ever." ‌ Now, Sammy has let slip a significant hint he received prior to entering the villa. In an exclusive chat with OK!'s Screen Time team, he divulged that latecomers to the show fly out to Majorca at the beginning but are kept in separate villas until it's their turn to join. Sammy took home the Series 10 crown alongside Jess Harding (Image: Matt Frost/ITV/REX/Shutterstock ) "Both times I flew out right at the beginning and you're just chilling in a holding villa until you're called up," he disclosed. Yet, they remain unaware of the other contestants and "don't have a clue who's going to be in there." So I would have rather gone in and decided for myself based on meeting people." Moreover, the celebrity went on to admit his prior interest in his now-girlfriend, stating: "Also, I already knew that I fancied Elma, so it was quite an easy decision for me." Despite frequent rumours suggesting they've parted ways, the couple remains united. But before continuing on his way, Sam - who has torn his calf muscle - was given the ultimate lift. Orlando Bloom spoke to the former Made In Chelsea star live from the This Morning studio - and Sam was gobsmacked. Realising who was speaking to him, Sam began yelling and attempting to jump up and down with his painful legs. He then listened open-mouthed as Orlando gave him some encouraging words as he nears the end of his gruelling Unicef challenge for Soccer Aid. The British actor, who has starred in blockbuster movies Lord Of The Rings and Pirates Of The Caribbean, told Sam: "We are so proud of you, mate! "It's amazing what you are doing. You're in the home stretch, we're all pulling for you. "Like you, I have seen the work Unicef do in the field, it's amazing. "You're a hero, everyone donating is a hero. I'm going to throw some at you as well. I hope it helps. "You are remarkable. I only wish I could find time to come out and see you and cheer you over the line. Sam Thompson breaks down in tears and is comforted by Pete Wicks as disaster strikes on 260-mile endurance challenge "But it's incredible what you're doing and Unicef, as an ambassador for many years, we are so grateful for all the women and children's lives around the world you're changing. "Congrats, mate. We're pulling for you." Sam screamed: "Oh my god, Orlando Bloom!" Orlando - who has been an ambassador for Unicef since 2009 - said the exchange "brought a tear to his eye". Sam is on the penultimate day of his five-day Match Ball Mission. He has been tasked with transporting the Soccer Aid ball 260-miles from Stamford Bridge in London to Old Trafford in Manchester. Sam is running and cycling the journey and aims to complete it on Friday June 6. On Wednesday, the former I'm A Me Out Of Here! star broke down in tears as he was surprised by Pete Wicks. In a heartwarming clip, Pete could be seen waiting for his best pal as he approached him on his run. Sam was seen limping due to his calf injury and, upon seeing his BFF, he burst into tears. Pete pulled him in for a hug and gave him a kiss on the cheek. 'You all right? Come here. It's alright,' Pete said to Sam. The tearful reality star replied: "I didn't know you were coming." Pete said: 'Of course I'm coming, do you think I'd miss this? Come on, I'm so proud of you. Look how proud I am. You're smashing it." Struggling to compose himself, Sam said that he didn't think he was "smashing it".
