Love Is Blind fans blast Scots star Katisha 'immature' amid love triangle
Scottish Love Is Blind participant Katisha Atkinson has been blasted by viewers as the reality TV dating show returned to Netflix for series 2 Fans have taken to social media as Love Is Blind returned to Netflix on Wednesday. It wasn't long before drama ensued, and love triangles began to form. Viewers are eagerly awaiting the release of the second batch of episodes of the new series, which is set to land on the streaming giant later this month, August 20. Scottish participant Katisha Atkinson, 31, found herself at a crossroads on the show at the end of part one. The 31-year-old, from Dumfries, admitted she was left feeling "confused and overwhelmed" after forming connections with two men in the pods. She ultimately chose to go for her "usual type" in health coach Javen, 28, despite her gut initially saying otherwise. Demola, a financial analyst from Romford, had worn his heart on his sleeve as he wooed the Scots nanny, confessing he was "falling in love" with her as he prepared to propose, but Katisha shut him down at the last minute in a 180 decision. Katisha admitted: "He's just so sweet and lovely but I never recognised me being put first and I'm quite inexperienced in love, I don't know how to receive it." Although Katisha told Demola, 31, she could "see herself" falling in love with him, she pulled back on her decision at the last minute and chose Javen, who had been more reserved in his feelings. Fans heartbroken for Demola took to social media as they slammed Scotland's newest reality star's decision and blasted her as being "immature" noting she has to work on her self-love. "Katisha is immature, acknowledging that Javen is like the other guys she dated and that it hasn't worked but then choosing him over Demi #LoveIsBlindUk," one fan wrote on Twitter. Someone else chimed in: "Katisha is beautiful and a nice girl but she needs to work on that self worth. No way she should be trying to marry Javen who hasn't given her anything mentally or emotionally #LoveisblindUK." This was echoed by another viewer, who quipped: "Katisha, girly… we need to heal a bit more if a love that should give you inner peace makes you run the opposite way. Demola deserved better." Someone else wrote: "Katisha fell for the game player.. her usual type. Girl, he just stepped up because he wanted to 'win'. So disingenuous! #LoveIsBlindUK." "Katisha self sabotaged so hard by not choosing Demola, I can tell this is her pattern. too scared to pick the one that loved her more what a waste #loveisblindUK," another added. One viewer fumed: "Omg i cannot believe Katisha's decision, she said she wanted Demola as he was loving and thoughtful. She went and told both of them who she was gonna choose. Then because Javen brought her flowers she went for him just like that. Same day and everything. B***H! #LoveIsBlindUK." Love is Blind Series 2 is available to watch now on Netflix. The remaining episodes will air on the streaming platform later this month, August 20.

Wednesday part two trailer sees Gwendoline Christie return as spirit guide
A trailer for part two of Wednesday's second series shows Gwendoline Christie's character returning as a spirit guide after being killed off in season one. The Netflix show, directed by Edward Scissorhands filmmaker Tim Burton, has been a hit for the streaming company and stars US actress Jenna Ortega in the lead role. Advertisement The first half of its second series was released on August 6 and ended on a cliff-hanger, with viewers unsure as to whether Ortega's character had died. In the trailer, Wednesday is seen waking up in a hospital bed with Christie's Principal Weems, who is dressed in a nurse's uniform, telling her to 'rise and shine sleepyhead'. In another clip the former headteacher of Nevermore Academy tells Wednesday she is her new 'spirit guide' and at the end of the two-minute video she warns her: 'If you don't hurry, you'll have nothing left to save.' The teaser also shows Wednesday and her grandmother Hester Frump, played by Dame Joanna Lumley, shooting birds, and her mother Morticia, played by Catherine Zeta-Jones, telling her that 'every family has dark chapters'. Advertisement Among the other cast members of series two are Doctor Who star Billie Piper, who plays head of music Isadora Capri, and US actor Steve Buscemi, as the new head of the academy, Principal Dort. Christie, 46, said: 'I felt like I was returning to a group of friends who are all at the top of their game. Dame Joanna Lumley and Jenna Ortega in Wednesday (Bernard Walsh/Netflix/PA) 'It is such a pleasure for me to be a part of this emotional world, this imaginative world, and play the character of Larissa Weems, who I truly adore and really thought a lot about bringing into being.' Christie's character was murdered at the hands of Christina Ricci's character Marilyn Thornhill in season one. Advertisement Co-creator Miles Millar said: 'When we got into the writers' room, we were determined to bring Gwen back. 'The audience has fallen in love with the Wednesday-Weems relationship … so we're bringing her back in the second half of the season in a very special way that is as confrontational as it is delicious.' Wednesday season two sees the protagonist explore another supernatural mystery while trying to navigate her newfound fame, which she tries to avoid. The character of Wednesday is based on the cartoons of Charles Addams, who inspired a 1960s TV series and the popular Addams Family films, starring Ricci as Wednesday. She plays a former teacher of Nevermore in Netflix's second series. Advertisement Wednesday season two part two will be available on Netflix from September 3.

Netflix drops Wednesday season 2 trailer as Lady Gaga's absence puzzles fans
Netflix has released the full trailer for Wednesday season two, part two, which will see the return of Gwendoline Christie's Principal Larissa Weems. Netflix has just released the trailer for Wednesday season two, part two, offering a glimpse of the remaining episodes from the latest series. It comes after viewers were baffled by the fact there were only four episodes when it was first shown. The programme arrived earlier this month with Wednesday Addams (portrayed by Jenna Ortega) tackling a new mystery centred around the Willow Hill Asylum, deceased Outcasts, and killer crows. The preview reveals the return of Principal Larissa Weems (Gwendoline Christie) following Wednesday's awakening from her unconscious condition, as reported by the Mirror. In the clip, Weems smiles and declares: "Rise and shine sleepy head," whilst Wednesday attempts to work out why she's witnessing the former Nevermore headmistress, who died at the hands of Marilyn Thornhill/Laurel Gates (Christina Ricci), in the first season. Weems continues to clarify: "This isn't hell, but I understand the confusion", before stating: "Because I am your new spirit guide, surprise." Weems will now be mentoring Wednesday following the teenager's loss of her psychic powers along with Goody's book, which could have helped her in recovering them. Unfortunately for Wednesday, no one else can see Weems apart from her. Alongside Weems in the new expanded role Tyler Galpin (Hunter Doohan) remains at large and intends to eliminate both Enid Sinclair (Emma Myers) and Wednesday. Tyler adopts a hooded disguise as he operates covertly and seems to be present at Nevermore. Nevertheless, a determined Wednesday promises Enid that she will sort out the Tyler situation. But her friend tells her: "Fix it? You're the reason he escaped." There's also a glimpse of the fundraising gala at Nevermore that Principal Dort (Steve Buscemi) has organised to bring in money for the school, plus a Tango between Morticia (Catherine Zeta-Jones) and Gomez (Luis Guzmán). Wednesday later connects with Grandmama (Joanna Lumley) as they enjoy clay pigeon shooting, before Morticia joins the pair for a mystical crystal ball session. Morticia and Wednesday have a row as the teenage detective insists on learning the family's major secret, presumably questioning both her mum and grandmother about Aunt Ophelia, who's been absent for two decades. The preview concludes on a menacing note as a voiceover cautions: "There will be a price to pay." A headstone hints Wednesday could also meet her end if she's not careful. Christie hinted at her comeback before the trailer's release when she appeared at the Outcast Assembly event as part of the programme's Global Doom Tour. The Game of Thrones star stepped onto the platform as a recording of her voice was played. Fans heard the recording of Weems declaring: "Did you really think Nevermore would let me go so easily? I was never gone, you just stopped looking." The second instalment will also showcase an appearance from Lady Gaga, but the international pop sensation and performer hasn't featured in the trailer. Netflix has previously confirmed that Lady Gaga will portray the legendary Nevermore teacher, Rosaline Rotwood, who is set to cross paths with Wednesday. Although she was absent in the dream series, it's anticipated that she will make a grand entrance.
