Netflix drops Wednesday season 2 trailer as Lady Gaga's absence puzzles fans
Netflix has just released the trailer for Wednesday season two, part two, offering a glimpse of the remaining episodes from the latest series. It comes after viewers were baffled by the fact there were only four episodes when it was first shown.
The programme arrived earlier this month with Wednesday Addams (portrayed by Jenna Ortega) tackling a new mystery centred around the Willow Hill Asylum, deceased Outcasts, and killer crows.
The preview reveals the return of Principal Larissa Weems (Gwendoline Christie) following Wednesday's awakening from her unconscious condition, as reported by the Mirror.
In the clip, Weems smiles and declares: "Rise and shine sleepy head," whilst Wednesday attempts to work out why she's witnessing the former Nevermore headmistress, who died at the hands of Marilyn Thornhill/Laurel Gates (Christina Ricci), in the first season.
Weems continues to clarify: "This isn't hell, but I understand the confusion", before stating: "Because I am your new spirit guide, surprise."
Weems will now be mentoring Wednesday following the teenager's loss of her psychic powers along with Goody's book, which could have helped her in recovering them.
Unfortunately for Wednesday, no one else can see Weems apart from her. Alongside Weems in the new expanded role Tyler Galpin (Hunter Doohan) remains at large and intends to eliminate both Enid Sinclair (Emma Myers) and Wednesday.
Tyler adopts a hooded disguise as he operates covertly and seems to be present at Nevermore. Nevertheless, a determined Wednesday promises Enid that she will sort out the Tyler situation.
But her friend tells her: "Fix it? You're the reason he escaped." There's also a glimpse of the fundraising gala at Nevermore that Principal Dort (Steve Buscemi) has organised to bring in money for the school, plus a Tango between Morticia (Catherine Zeta-Jones) and Gomez (Luis Guzmán).
Wednesday later connects with Grandmama (Joanna Lumley) as they enjoy clay pigeon shooting, before Morticia joins the pair for a mystical crystal ball session.
Morticia and Wednesday have a row as the teenage detective insists on learning the family's major secret, presumably questioning both her mum and grandmother about Aunt Ophelia, who's been absent for two decades.
The preview concludes on a menacing note as a voiceover cautions: "There will be a price to pay." A headstone hints Wednesday could also meet her end if she's not careful.
Christie hinted at her comeback before the trailer's release when she appeared at the Outcast Assembly event as part of the programme's Global Doom Tour. The Game of Thrones star stepped onto the platform as a recording of her voice was played.
Fans heard the recording of Weems declaring: "Did you really think Nevermore would let me go so easily? I was never gone, you just stopped looking."
The second instalment will also showcase an appearance from Lady Gaga, but the international pop sensation and performer hasn't featured in the trailer.
Netflix has previously confirmed that Lady Gaga will portray the legendary Nevermore teacher, Rosaline Rotwood, who is set to cross paths with Wednesday. Although she was absent in the dream series, it's anticipated that she will make a grand entrance.

Stranger Things creators are reportedly eyeing deal with Paramount
Matt and Ross Duffer, creators of Netflix 's Stranger Things, are reportedly in advanced negotiations to move to Paramount to create new exclusive TV shows and films. The potential move would see the Duffer Brothers reunite with former Netflix executives Cindy Holland and Matt Thunell, now heading streaming and TV studios at Paramount, respectively. Paramount reportedly aims for the siblings to focus on developing tentpole movies, marking a significant coup for the company following its merger with Skydance. Despite the potential move, the Duffer Brothers still have several unreleased titles with Netflix, including The Boroughs and Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen, and are expected to confirm a Stranger Things spin-off. The fifth and final season of Stranger Things is scheduled for release in three batches later this year, with episodes dropping on November 26, Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve.

With a concerned Aaron desperate to help Robert amid his spiralling mental health, he tells his soulmate (let's face it) that he "just needs to get him better". As an emotional Robert shares his fears that he has no one and nothing left, thoughts put in his mind by his evil brother John Sugden, Aaron's confused as to why Robert would think he "didn't want to know". It's then that he admits how he really feels and why he's been so distant, amid his marriage to John. It comes as spoilers confirmed the pair would give into temptation amid hopes from fans that Robron will reunite, ahead of killer John's downfall. In the new video preview we see the aftermath of Robert breaking down and trashing his room. Unable to take anymore he loses control with Aaron forced to intervene, shocked by just how broken Robert is. As the pair head downstairs, a numb Robert is on the sofa as Aaron does his best to comfort him. He's desperate to get him some help, while Robert considers leaving and claims he has nothing left in the village to keep him there. Aaron soon confesses what's really been going on, and how he has deliberately pushed Robert away to avoid temptation. He says: "We both know what will happen if we get too close." As Robert asks if they are both "fighting feelings", Aaron says: "I didn't say that. Right now all that matters is getting you better while you have still got people who care about you." Robert suggests his sister Victoria doesn't want to know him after the incident with Harry, with John telling him as such. Aaron adds: "She loves you. She wants to help you, I wanna help you. Even John does and he knows all about PTSD from the army." As Robert tries to change the topic he makes a jibe about Aaron's cooking, sending them on a brief trip down memory lane. But Robert's soon left sad again, telling Aaron: "Thanks for being here. I'm sure you've got better things to do than sit around with your tragic ex." Aaron replies: "No, not really. I've missed you." As the pair stare for a moment Robert leans in and kisses Aaron, with him soon reciprocating. One thing leads to another - but will they be caught out?
