Marlon Wayans slams Soulja Boy for transphobic comments
Marlon Wayans has fired back at Soulja Boy after the rapper made homophobic and transphobic remarks about the comedian and his transgender son, Kai.

Marlon Wayans' and Soulja Boy's quarrel began weeks ago, and the two continue to exchange barbs with the "Scary Movie" actor and comedian recently releasing an AI-generated country music diss track taunting the rapper.
Wayans posted the diss track to his Instagram on Thursday with the caption: "What you say 'Bout my mama?!" The song opens by accusing Soulja Boy of being on drugs, including "crinack and meth." The song then tries to poke fun at the "Crank That" rapper by saying he looks like "Flavor Flav without the clock," is a one-hit-wonder, is flat-chested and is a Bitcoin sellout.
After posting the song, Wayans continued to take jabs at Soulja Boy on his Instagram, even posting about the rapper's teeth.
"I don't take kindly anyone defaming my mama, my child or their community," the comedian wrote in a caption for an Instagram post on Sunday. "So without stooping to degrading levels, I'm gonna slap you with these jokes. Keep my name out yo rotten Mouf. You know what it is…"
Wayans' post came after Soulja Boy made some derogatory comments on X about the comedian's late mother who died on July 23, 2020, at age 81, Vice reported. The X post has since been deleted and is no longer on the rapper's page.
USA TODAY reached out to Wayans' and Soulja Boy's reps on Tuesday but did not immediately receive a response.
How did the feud between Soulja Boy and Marlon Wayans start?
The feud between the two began when Wayans criticized Soulja Boy for performing at President Donald Trump's Crypto Ball, which was a part of his inauguration festivities in Washington, D.C. last month. He made comments about the rapper during his appearance on Cincinnati radio station 101.1 The Wiz when he was asked for his opinion on Snoop Dogg, Nelly and others performing at the Crypto Ball.
"I mean, Soulja Boy, he's been canceled. Nobody cares who Soulja Boy is. Soulja Boy better go and get that check. I don't think he's had hits in… He don't care," Wayans said after volunteering the rapper's name in the conversation.
Wayans defended the musicians participating in the Crypto Ball by denouncing the "public skewering" they've received.
"We are divided enough," the comedian said. "To be honest with you, I don't know if they knew it was an underwritten (by) Trump event. I've done things for Bitcoin, right, and a lot of people don't really know about Bitcoin like that. I think they thought it was a Bitcoin event, and they came to find out it was a ball for Trump."
Soulja Boy directed homophobic, transphobic comments toward Wayans and his son
Wayans and Soulja Boy had been going back and forth for weeks, but on Feb. 12, things came to a head as the rapper directed homophobic and transphobic comments at the comedian and his transgender son, Kai, according to Entertainment Weekly and Billboard. The X posts are no longer available on Soulja Boy's account.
"You know you can get cancelled for transphobic slander like this… Fortunately for you that you don't have a career. Apparently, You BEEN cancelled for the last 17 years. Crank that was 2007. We waiting," Wayans wrote alongside a screenshot of one of the "Kiss Me Thru the Phone' rapper's X posts.

Pop Star Turns Heads in All-White Outfit on Seaside Vacay
Pop Star Turns Heads in All-White Outfit on Seaside Vacay originally appeared on Parade. Dua Lipa is still very much enjoying her summer and just took to social media to prove it. The English-Albanian pop star, 29, posted new photos on Instagram Saturday that show her at a seaside destination, donning a stunning all-white outfit that has sent the internet abuzz. Alongside the carousel of photos is a two-word caption that sums up the three-time Grammy Award-winner's vibes: "VITAMIN SEA." Lipa's fiancé Callum Turner is not seen in the photos, but Lipa is wearing her dazzling engagement ring in the photos. The Instagram post has already been "liked" well over a million times. In recent months, Lipa has been hitting other beachside locations around the globe. In June, the "Levitating" singer and fiancé Turner, 35, were spotted soaking up the Mediterranean sun along the Amalfi Coast. TMZ captured the couple at the Italy location, looking quite smitten with each other. What made these images particularly delightful is how refreshingly normal they looked. The Amalfi Coast has long been a magnet for celebrities seeking both luxury and privacy, and the two clearly found the perfect blend of both. The celebrity romance has been a joy to witness. Turner first gained recognition in the 2014 series Glue and has also starred in acclaimed projects such as Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (2016) and Masters of the Air (2024). Earlier in June, Lipa made headlines when she covered the late Sinead O'Connor's classic song "Nothing Compares 2 U" at her Dublin concert. While the fans at the show cheered, some online users seemed torn about the singer's rendition. 'Sinead is one of the best. Dua Lipa is not. Please don't remind us of that,' wrote one commentator. Lipa isn't the first to cover the hit song. Other artists including the late Chris Cornell and Miley Cyrus have given their own performances of O'Connor's track. 'Rampage' Jackson reacts to Elijah Smith recreating iconic slam KO at UFC on ESPN 72
Quinton Jackson was, like many, in awe of Elijah Smith's incredible slam knockout at UFC on ESPN 72. Smith (9-1 MMA, 2-0 UFC)) delivered arguably the greatest slam finish in UFC history Saturday when he attempted to put Toshiomi Kazama (11-4 MMA, 1-3 UFC) through the mat in the opening round of their bantamweight bout at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. The way Smith hoisted Kazama out of a triangle choke position and into the air, put his arm across the face then slammed him into the mat before landing a couple vicious and unnecessary shots looked eerily similar to a famous finish from former UFC light heavyweight champion "Rampage" Jackson. Jackson produced arguably the most famous slam finish in MMA history under the now-defunct PRIDE FC banner in June 2004. A nearly identical sequence occurred in his "Critical Countdown 2004" matchup with Ricardo Arona in a highlight that has been played endlessly since. Many have tried to mimic "Rampage" throughout the years, but nothing has came as close as what Smith pulled off, and the man himself could only give praise to what the 22-year-old prospect pulled off (via Instagram): The respect between Jackson and Smith was mutual in the aftermath of his knockout win. Smith said he watched the Arona win many times over the years, and tipped his cap to the UFC legend after the viral result.
