PSL Star Exposes PCB: "There Were 2 Drone Attacks, They Tried To Hide From Us"
Rishad accused the PCB for lack of transperancy, revealing that the board tried to hide details of drone attacks. Rishad also revealed that the PCB initially planned to hold the remaining PSL matches in Karachi, but reversed it after players expressed their safety concerns with PCB chief Mohsin Naqvi.
"The meeting was basically called to know our concerns, what we think about the current scenario. Almost all the foreign players said that the only safe place available for the later part of the tournament is Dubai. Yes, the PCB chair tried to convince us to conduct the remaining matches in Karachi. At that time, he tried to hide from us that there were two drone attacks just the day before, which we came to know later. Later all of us took the decision (to shift to Dubai), and the PCB Chairman helped us a lot to reach Dubai safely by the grace of god. Thanks to him and the Pakistan Cricket Board," he revealed.
Rishad recalled the difficulties faced by overseas players, saying, "Thank god, we have reached Dubai after overcoming a crisis, and I am feeling well now. After landing in Dubai when we heard that a missile struck the airport 20 minutes after we took off from the airport. The news was scary as well as sorrowful, and now, after reaching Dubai we are feeling relieved."
"Whenever I go out to play, my family worries for me whether the situation is good or not and now when they heard the news about Pakistan - the bomb-blasts and the missile-strikes here and there - naturally they were in tension. I personally tried to console them and tell them not to worry about me and they were quite normal," he said, as per a Cricbuzz report quoted by Wisden.
Rishad went on to reveal that his Bangladeshi teammate Nahid Rana, who was playing for Peshawar Zalmi, was shaken by the events.
"Nahid Rana was very quiet, maybe for the tension, as I understood. I kept telling him not to be tense and hopefully nothing would happen to us. Thank god, we reached Dubai safely," Rishad said.

Bangladeshi intruders entered Meghalaya via damaged fencing: State panel report
A government-appointed panel confirmed on Thursday that the August 9 Bangladeshi intrusion in Meghalaya's South West Khasi Hills happened after border fencing collapsed due to heavy rainfall in Khonjoy village. Villagers pointed out the weak stretches at Maheshkhola through which intruders walked in. After visiting the Khonjoy B, Rongdangai, and Maheshkhola villages, the team said locals were living in fear of recurring cross-border threats. 'People told us that collapsed fencing has created easy entry points. Despite the presence of security forces, these gaps are putting lives at risk,' Marthon J Sangma said. Shangpliang added that women and children living in those areas remain vulnerable. 'Villagers clearly pointed out the weak stretches at Maheshkhola through which intruders walked in. This situation cannot be allowed to continue,' he said. The team's visit followed petitions from border residents demanding urgent repairs and round-the-clock security presence. The August 9 attack took place in Khonjoy village under the Nongjri–Nonghyllam sector near the Bangladesh border. According to the South West Khasi Hills District (SWKH) police, a group of about nine Bangladeshi nationals — armed with weapons including a firearm — crossed into Indian territory illegally under the cover of darkness. The victim, Balsrang A Marak, was assaulted and stabbed, possibly for trying to block their movement. The gang fled soon after but did not immediately return to Bangladesh. According to Press Information Bureau (PIB) data, the total length of Indo-Bangladesh Border in Meghalaya is 443 km, out of which 367.155 km length of International border has been covered by fence.

HC asks Haryana government for SOP to identify ‘illegal Bangladeshis' after Gurugram detentions
The Punjab and Haryana High Court on Wednesday asked the Haryana government whether it had a standard operating procedure to verify the identity of migrant workers it was detaining, The Indian Express reported. Several Bengali-speaking persons from West Bengal and Assam were detained in Gurugram in July on suspicion of being undocumented Bangladeshi migrants. They were released after their documents were verified. The bench was hearing a petition alleging that several Indian citizens had been wrongly detained in Gurugram and held in inhumane conditions. The public interest litigation sought directions for the state government to frame a uniform procedure to be followed while identifying undocumented migrants. The petitioner said that the police in Gurugram had rounded up persons from minority groups, accusing them of being undocumented migrants, despite them having documents such as an Aadhaar card, a voter ID and ration cards to prove their identity as Indians. 'They were detained in community centres, sometimes in groups of two to three hundred, with no access to family members or lawyers,' the petitioner was quoted as saying. They were not released for days, even after the police and administration in West Bengal had certified that the persons who had been detained are Indian citizens, the newspaper quoted the petitioner as having claimed. The plea said that Haryana and neighbouring Punjab either do not have a verification procedure or it was being 'flagrantly violated', The Indian Express reported. In May, the Union home ministry directed states and Union Territories to verify the credentials of persons suspected to be undocumented migrants from Bangladesh and Myanmar. However, the petitioner said that the procedure referred to in the Union home ministry's instructions could not be found on its website. The counsel for the Haryana government defended the detentions, saying the police were acting in line with the directions of the Union government. The court directed the Haryana government to either produce a copy of the procedure being followed or file an affidavit stating that no such guidelines were available.
