SAD leader Sukhbir Singh Badal urges election commission to take action against Manish Sisodia
Akali Dal
President
Sukhbir Singh Badal
has criticised Aam Aadmi Party leader Manish Sisodia for instructing party leaders to use any means necessary to win elections in 2027. He has urged the
Election Commission
to take strict action against Sisodia for encouraging his party members to resort to violence to secure electoral victories.
In a social media post, Sukhbir wrote that the Aam Aadmi Party's true intentions are finally revealed. 'The mask has fallen. AAP's deceptions, lies, false promises, and dirty tactics—such as riots, violence, and money games—to cling to power in Punjab in 2027 have been shamelessly and openly admitted by their top leader, Manish Sisodia.'
He noted that AAP entered Punjab in 2014, and incidents of sacrilege began in 2015.
'With their own MLA convicted for the 2016 Malerkotla sacrilege, is there still any doubt in anyone's mind about who was behind those incidents? Their schemes to exploit Punjabis' religious sensitivities and fuel communal divisions for power are now openly admitted.'
Badal urged the public to recognise the threat posed by AAP. 'I call upon Punjabis to see through this dangerous game to set brothers against brothers in Punjab, especially among Sikhs, just to divide and weaken Akali Dal.'

He also appealed to the Election Commission for immediate action. 'I urge the Election Commission of India to take strict cognisance of Sisodia's highly provocative utterances and seek to have his bail cancelled (in the corruption case). In view of this brazen admission, the Aam Aadmi Party must be debarred in Punjab to save this sensitive border state from a repeat of the dangerous past. I also urge strict and prompt legal action against him for inciting fraternal bloodshed in Punjab,' Sukhbir wrote

According to information, the voter ID cards were recovered from the garbage lying near the Union Minister's residence located in Civil Lines area in Tikamgarh district. Several of the cards were found to be charred, indicating a possible attempt to destroy them. Who exactly noticed the voter ID cards lying at a garbage site near the Union Minister's residence is yet to be ascertained as the investigation is underway. Sources told IANS that the Minister's representative Vivek Chaturvedi had informed the district administration about the finding. Chaturvedi also urged authorities to scrutinise whether the voter IDs had been misused in government health schemes. Upon receiving information, a team of the district administration reached the spot and the voter ID cards were seized. Officials said that many of the voter ID cards recovered from the garbage were either damaged or burnt. Officials also said that they are probing the possible misuse of these voter ID cards. Following the complaint, Collector Vivek Shrotriya ordered a comprehensive probe into how the cards surfaced near the minister's bungalow. Notably, senior BJP leader Virendra Kumar Khatik, who is a Lok Sabha MP from Tikamgarh, is serving as Union Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment. He was in New Delhi as the Monsoon Session of Parliament is underway, sources told IANS.
