‘Tron: Ares' is set to storm Comic-Con and more of what to expect on Day 2
Disney will unveil details about 'Tron: Ares,' which stars Jared Leto, Jeff Bridges and Greta Lee at an evening presentation in Comic-Con's famed Hall H. It will be the third feature film in the 'Tron' franchise that kicked off with the hit 1982 film and had a 2010 sequel, 'Tron: Legacy.'
The original starred Bridges as a computer hacker who gets trapped in a digital world.
The other major presentations planned for Friday include updates on the final season of 'Outlander' and its prequel series 'Outlander: Blood of My Blood,' 'Alien: Earth' and 'Predator: Badlands.'
An estimated 135,000 people from around the globe are expected to attend Comic-Con 2025, which runs through Sunday in downtown San Diego.

'Outlander' spinoff stars reveal why sex scenes were 'daunting'
It's all in the family. The hit series 'Outlander' now has a spinoff, 'Outlander: Blood of My Blood,' premiering Friday, Aug 8 on Starz (8 p.m. ET). She added, 'But we have a brilliant team of support behind us. We work with an intimacy coordinator, who makes sure that we feel safe and confident before we step on set for any kind of those kinds of scenes.' Slater explained that there's always a closed set for sex scenes, 'which means there's as few people as possible, and we rehearse a lot beforehand. Fantastic Four 2 Update Reveals Likely Director for MCU Sequel
A new report from Jeff Sneider of The InSneider suggests that Disney has likely already found the director for The Fantastic Four 2, and has high hopes for the sequel. Who is potentially directing The Fantastic Four 2? According to Sneider, Matt Shakman — the director of the first film and the MCU miniseries WandaVision — is 'likely' to return to direct a sequel. As for the film's box office, Sneider mentions that, although the film hasn't been performed incredibly, Marvel execs believe the sequel will perform better after The Fantastic Four are shown off more in the next two Avengers movies, Avengers: Doomsday and Avenges: Secret Wars. Sneider's report comes after Disney CEO Bob Iger also praised The Fantastic Four: First Steps, saying the movie 'successfully launched' an important franchise into the MCU, even if it didn't make the same amount of money a project like Avengers might. In its second weekend, The Fantastic Four: First Steps took a 66% drop, a surprisingly high mark for a film that is praised by both critics and audiences. Following its latest drop, it's likely First Steps will come in under Superman, the DCU film that launched a week prior. 'Set against the vibrant backdrop of a 1960s-inspired, retro-futuristic world, Marvel Studios' The Fantastic Four: First Steps introduces Marvel's First Family—Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic, Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, Johnny Storm/Human Torch and Ben Grimm/The Thing as they face their most daunting challenge yet,' the official synopsis for the movie reads. Kevin Feige serves as a producer on the project, while executive producers include Louis D'Esposito, Grant Curtis, and Tim Lewis.
