Man crushed to death while trying to board PMPML bus in Hadapsar
The deceased has been identified as Prakash Rambhau Gaikwad, 56, a resident of Nalvandi in Beed. The incident was reported on April 30, and he died on May 1 during medical treatment.
After the completion of the last rituals, on Monday, his son, Babasaheb Gaikwad, filed a police complaint against the bus driver at Hadapsar police station.
According to preliminary information, Gaikwad landed in Pune from Beed and was going to his relatives and was trying to catch an Aundh bus from Hadapsar. He reportedly lost his balance and fell under the rear wheels.
Altaf Sheikh, police sub-inspector at Hadapsar police station, said, 'He might have boarded in the wrong bus as a result of while deboarding the bus he accidentally fell and came under wheels of the bus.''
According to Sheikh, as per the police complaint filed by the relatives of the deceased, they have booked the bus driver, Navnath Kamble.
A case has been filed against the PMPML bus driver under sections 281,106 BNS and sections 184/177 of the Motor Vehicle Act.

2 booked for making reel of stunt on auto rickshaw in Navi Mumbai
NAVI MUMBAI: Turbhe police have booked two men for performing stunt in a moving auto rickshaw, wherein one of them is sitting atop the auto rickshaw, without a driver and the other person making a reel on the service road in Khairane MIDC near fire brigade abut the Thane-Belapur road on Saturday past midnight around 12.30 am. Abasaheb Patil, senior inspector of Turbhe informed that, the duo accused identified as Shamshud Ahmed (27) is a mechanic who performed the stunt by sitting atop the auto rickshaw without the driver while the auto driver Akshay Dhotre (26) made the reel. We learnt about the stunt after it was posted on Instagram by the accused. From the auto rickshaw's registration number, the duo accused were traced and detained. They were booked under relevant sections of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita for rash or negligent driving or riding on a public way, act endangering human life or personal safety and abetment along with Motor Vehicle Act for dangerous driving. They have been served with a notice under Bharatiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita. The duo accused apologised for performing such stunt, promised that they won't repeat it and appealed to others not to perform such stunts to avoid legal action. College Students Perform ‘Dangerous' Car Stunt In Navi Mumbai, Booked After Video Goes Viral
Last Updated: A video of college students performing "dangerous" stunt went viral on social media, prompting the authorities to file a case against them. Three college students were booked after a video of them performing a stunt in a moving car in Navi Mumbai went viral on social media, officials said on Wednesday. The incident took place on Palm Beach Road at around 8.30 pm on Monday. The students were detained after the video surfaced on social media. In the viral video, recorded by an unknown driver on Palm Beach Road (Vashi lane) between Sarsole Signal and Moraj Signal in Sanpada, one man is seen leaning out of the car's open sunroof while it was moving. Another man was sitting on the edge of the backseat window, with the upper half of his body outside. Later, the woman who was originally driving the car switched seats with her friend and leaned out of the sunroof herself while her friend drove, Times of India reported. A top police official said that the cops traced the vehicle's owner to Sector 20, Belapur Village using the registration number. 'It was learnt that the car owner's son, Hari Gholpe (20), was driving the vehicle. He was accompanied by his friends Vinay Rawal (19), a Sanpada resident, and Kavya Joshi (20), residing in Nerul. While Gholpe dangerously leaned out of the moving car's window, Rawal leaned out through the sunroof, while Joshi was at the wheel. Thereafter, Joshi took a turn to perform a stunt by leaning out of the sunroof while one of her friends drove the car," Devidas Kathale, Senior Inspector of Sanpada, was quoted as saying by the outlet. The three students were booked under relevant sections of the BNS for rash driving and for activities endangering human life. Motor Vehicle Act was also slapped against them for 'dangerous driving", according to the report. Youth killed as concrete mixer truck hits motorcycle in Piplod
Surat: A 25-year-old youth was killed on Tuesday morning when a concrete mixer dumper rammed his bike near Rahul Raj Mall in Piplod. Umra police arrested the driver, Rampal Yadav, and booked the dumper owners for culpable homicide not amounting to murder under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Deputy commissioner of police (Zone-4) Vijay Singh Gurjar said the accident occurred around 9:30am when the victim, Subhash Rangbahadur Singh, was riding his bike opposite Rahul Raj Mall. The dumper driver was driving carelessly and hit Singh's bike, killing him on the spot. Since commercial heavy vehicles are banned inside city limits between 8am to 1pm and 5pm to 10pm, we have taken this violation seriously and booked the dumper owners along with the driver," said Gurjar. Police said the dumper was supplying concrete from Neel Concrete Plant in Ichhapore to the 'Oliva Breeze' construction site in Piplod. The driver has been arrested, and action against the vehicle owners is underway. The victim, Subhash Singh, lived in Katargam and worked as a security supervisor in Surat. A native of Bhojpur district, he had moved to the city for livelihood. Police have also invoked the Motor Vehicle Act and Gujarat Police Act.
