Nip/Tuck star Dylan Walsh involved in car crash which sees two rushed to hospital
The 61-year-old Hollywood actor was caught up in a serious motor accident in Rumson, New Jersey, on August 17 whilst travelling with his loved ones. According to reports by People, a 2022 Ford Explorer carrying five passengers swerved into the southbound lane whilst heading northbound on East River Road at around 5pm.
The vehicle then smashed through a utility pole before crashing into a second pole. Following the dramatic collision, two passengers were taken to Riverview Medical Centre for treatment after reporting pain, reports the Mirror US.
It remains unclear whether Dylan, who shot to fame in the medical drama series Nip/Tuck, was behind the wheel at the time. In a statement to People, Dylan's representatives confirmed: "Over the weekend, Dylan Walsh and his family were involved in a car accident in Rumson. Thankfully, everyone is safe and has since returned home."

'My seatbelt saved my life - but I wasn't even involved in a car crash'
They added: "The family is deeply grateful for the swift response of the Rumson Police, Fire Department, and EMS, as well as the staff at Riverview Medical Center for their care. They would also like to extend a special thank-you to the management and staff of The River Point Inn for their support in the immediate aftermath."
Eight local residents in New Jersey were left without power following the crash, but it was later restored. Jersey Central Power and Light has also replaced the utility poles that were destroyed in the accident.
The actor's wife, Leslie Bourque-Walsh, opened up about the terrifying ordeal in a now-deleted Facebook post. She wrote: "It was our family who was involved in the car accident on River Road yesterday afternoon. We just want to thank everyone who took care of us in this scary time."
Leslie continued: "1st of all to the managers/staff at River Point Inn who immediately ran out to make sure we were ok and comfort our kids (literally one lady wrapped her arms around all of us letting us know it would be ok) - bringing ice bags and the fancy Evian water bottles."
She then expressed her gratitude to the first responders who arrived at the scene of the accident and thanked the EMT who put up with her "corny" jokes during the ambulance ride. Leslie also provided an update on their condition, writing: "We are a bit bruised from seatbelts, but grateful for them and air bags which saved our lives. We apologise for anyone who lost power or inconvenience."

Mark Labbett's Celebs Go Dating journey will end in 'surprising' way after viral clip
Celebs Go Dating's Anna Williamson has hinted how The Chase star's journey could end after he went viral for 'falling asleep' during his first romantic meet up on the show. The Chase star Mark Labbett has certainly made his entrance on Celebs Go Dating. In the most recent episode, which aired on Wednesday, August 20, he stepped out his comfort zone for his first date. Despite being unexperienced in the dating world, relationship guru Anna Williamson told us that she believes Mark was a "fantastic signing" from the E4 production team. She also hinted at how his dating journey will end, following its turbulent start. "Mark is fantastic, he's been a brilliant signing," dating coach Anna told the Record. "Well done to the casting for welcoming Mark and of course, well done to Mark for wanting to come on." Anna also touched on Mark's TikTok viral moments following his appearance on Wednesday. "We knew that was going to happen," Anna admitted, suppressing a laugh before recalling how the quiz whizz - known as The Beast - yawned his way through his date with Natalie, before mistakingly attempting to drink a candle instead of his drink. Anna noted: "I think that shows how much work we need to do with him. But we are always there to champion people including Mark quite rightly, and how he finishes the series, I think, will be very very surprising to people, in a good way." Ahead of his debut on the show, Mark said: 'I've been single for most of my life. I'm a little bit on the spectrum." Mark says he finds human signals much harder than trivia. "Facts are easy, people are complicated," he added. In the scenes aired on Wednesday,Mark could be seen struggling to stay awake and at one point even closed his eyes for several seconds. He had them shut for so long that show narrator Rob Beckett humorously remarked he was "dropping off". Rob then added: "Catching 40 winks whilst eating is a skill." In his previous love life off screen, Mark was married to Katie, who was 27 years younger than him, from 2014 to 2020. The pair first crossed paths on Facebook in 2010. However, it wasn't until 2012 when sparks started to fly after Mark invited her to a celebrity special of the show. After their split, Mark went on to date Hayley Palmer, although the pair went their separate ways just a year later shortly after marking their anniversary in May last year, 2024. The Sky TV presenter informed her followers at the time: "It is with regret I announce that myself and Mark have gone our separate ways. We had the best year together, and I truly wish him all the very best for the future." "Off I go to listen to Taylor Swift ", she added to the post alongside a broken-heart emoji.

Retro bag of classic sweets returns to major UK supermarket – but shoppers are all saying the same thing
Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) SWEET-TOOTHED shoppers can take a trip down memory lane as a popular snack launches "retro" packaging. However, the nostalgic move has also left fans pointing out the same issue. Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up 2 Jelly Babies have launched a retro packet, giving fans a taste for nostalgia (stock image) Credit: Getty Jelly Babies have been a universal staple of the penny mix for decades now. Whether your nan slipped you some on the sly or you saved up your pocket money to buy a packet of your own, every Brit is familiar with the tasty treat. And now you can enjoy the sweets as they once were, with new retro editions available on shelves across the UK. The bags were spotted by eager foodies and shared on the Facebook page Newfoodsuk. Throwback snack "New retro bag of Jelly Babies spotted at Tesco!" one social media user captioned a picture of the sweets. The 165 gram bag features the classic design with the cartoon mascots playing on skateboards. A banner across the bottom of the packaging identified it as a "Limited Edition Retro Bag". The sweets were first mass produced at the end of World War One to celebrate the peace era. In fact, they were first marketed as 'Peace Babies' before they were rebranded Jelly Babies after sugar rationing ended in 1953. It wasn't until decades later that the larger bags were established, however the 190 gram bag was controversially cut down to just 165 grams in recent years. Iconic 80s retro sweet RETURNS to UK supermarket shelves after a decade Not nostalgic enough The retro bag is priced for £1.25 and is part of a 1990s nostalgia collection at Tesco. However, sweet-toothed fans pointed out the sweets cost considerably less during this "retro" era. They took to the Facebook comments section to share their thoughts on the reduced weight and inflated prices. "Let's put the prices down to the past too! And make the bag bigger," suggested one fan. "Pity the price isn't retro," agreed another unimpressed commenter. Histoty of Jelly Babies A version of the sweet was first created in a sweet shop in Lancashire in 1864. To mark the end of World War One, the sweets were launched as "Peace Babies". Production paused during the Second World War due to wartime shortages of sugar and other ingredients. In 1953, a new version of the sweet was launched as "Jelly Babies" with a softer jelly texture and individual baby shapes. In 1989, each sweet was given a name and personality to appeal to children: Brilliant (red), Bubbles (yellow), Baby Bonny (pink), Boofuls (green), Bigheart (purple), and Bumper (orange). Long regarded an iconic British confectionary, Jelly Babies are the favourites of famous figures such as the Beatles and Doctor Who, with the fourth doctor Tom Baker frequently offered the sweets on the show. A third person pointed out that the bag of sweets is "not retro bag weight". More on retro snacks Meanwhile, an iconic 80s retro sweet has been spotted on shelves for just 31p. And another popular sweets brand has recently brought back a nostalgic flavour. Plus, B&M is selling giant tubs of a nostalgic childhood sweet for just £1.
