Summer is here, and it is everyone's favorite time of the year, scouting time. Every year, we do Summer Scouting to preview college football for Bucs fans, but also give them an idea of names to follow and watch in the fall as needs pop up for Tampa Bay.
Are we going to write about quarterbacks? You know it, but why? Because other NFL teams will draft them, just as they will draft every other position. It all matters whether these players end up on the Bucs, the Bears, or the Steelers. We write these so Bucs fans can be the most informed fans.

Chase Bisontis is one of those guards you can enjoy watching because you can just tell it will be easy. He won't wow you with crazy plays or blocks where he drives guys out of plays. What he will do is showcase excellent pass blocking thanks to his anchoring ability and his awareness. He does a good job of picking up blitzers and edge rushers who attempt to come inside on disguises. Keep eyes on Bisontis this fall as everyone will be watching his teammate, Ar'maj Reed-Adams.

Former NFL Kicker and SMU Great Unexpectedly Dies at 65 originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Former Green Bay Packers kicker Eddie Garcia passed away at his home in Poygan, Wisconsin last week. He was 65. Advertisement The tenth-round pick in the 1982 NFL Draft spent three seasons with the Packers. While at SMU, Garcia earned first-team All SWC honors in 1980 and was a second-team AP All-American in 1981 for the Mustangs. As of the 2024 season, Garcia ranks 5th all-time in career points for SMU with 262 (130 PATs and 44 field goals) Garcia kicked in 19 NFL games over the 1983 and '84 seasons, making three of nine field goal attempts. In his first season, he handled the kickoff duties while Jan Stenerud kicked field goals and extra points. In 1984, Garcia was the kicker for seven games until he injured his hamstring and was placed on injured reserve. He was waived following the season, according to the Packers. FLORHAM PARK, N.J. -- When he is at the top of his game, New York Jets All-Pro cornerback Sauce Gardner is the best in the league. Advertisement The former fourth overall pick was the first defensive back in NFL history to be named a first-team All-Pro in his first two seasons. After a strong start to his career, though, Gardner struggled last season. He was still a Pro Bowl player but was penalized more for his aggressive style and struggled to tackle throughout the 2024 campaign. Under a new coaching staff, Gardner's expectations are back to where they were after 2023. Defensive coordinator Steve Wilks believes he can get the most out of their new star. "It's so many things that I feel like Sauce can do," Wilks said. "Again, the word consistent. He's been a Pro Bowl consistent can he be to take it to another level? Advertisement "And that's one of the things that I challenged him on day one when we had our conversation." It's important to remember that Gardner's worse season was still pretty damn good compared to other players in his position. If he can reduce the penalties and improve his tackling, Gardner should be expected to return to his All-Pro status. According to Wilks, that is precisely what the team expects out of him. And what Gardner expects out of himself. Few cornerbacks in the NFL have the kind of frame that Gardner is working with. Wilks commented about that on Wednesday as part of why consistency is such a focus for the All-Pro this year.
