EastEnders' Kat is shaken to the core by unexpected discovery on her computer

Metro3 days ago

On-off EastEnders couple Kat Slater and Alfie Moon have a long and complicated history, which began when they were part of a will-they-won't-they storyline while working behind the bar of the Queen Vic in 2002.
After finally getting together, they tied the knot on Christmas Day 2003, but were ripped apart a year later by Kat's jealous ex, gangster Andy Hunter (Michael Higgs), who threatened to kill Alfie unless Kat slept with him.
Realising their feelings for one another were still there, they gave their marriage another shot and left Walford for pastures new at the end of 2005.
Five years later, they made a bombshell comeback when it was revealed Kat had been having an affair with Alfie's cousin Michael Moon (Steve John Shepherd) and was pregnant with his son.
They eventually reconciled, with Alfie agreeing to bring Tommy up as his own. However, they were heartbroken when their baby 'died' – before it was later revealed Ronnie Mitchell had actually swapped their baby with her son James, who had died from cot death.
After a joyous reunion with baby Tommy, the pair were torn apart again when Kat's subsequent affair with Derek Branning (Jamie Foreman) was exposed.
But a reconciliation eventually followed – as did their twin sons Bert and Ernie – before Kat and Alfie swapped the Square for Spain in 2016 after winning big on the lottery.
Two years later, a broke Kat returned to Walford having split from Alfie again, after cheating on him. When he later followed home, the couple had a short-lived reunion before Alfie was revealed as the father of Kat's cousin Hayley Slater's (Katie Jarvis) baby daughter Cherry.
With their relationship in tatters, Alfie did a bunk from Walford in 2019 after scamming £50k out of Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden), who Kat later went on to have an unlikely relationship with.
When Alfie returned to Albert Square again three years later, he sabotaged Kat's wedding to Phil, but it wasn't enough to split them up and they rescheduled their nuptials.
However, after Kat discovered Phil had cheated on her with Emma Harding (Patsy Kensit), the pair split and she moved in with Alfie.

Gorgeous moment Danny Dyer saw daughter Dani in wedding dress for first time

Danny Dyer's daughter, Dani Dyer, said she'd had the 'best day of her life' when she married footballer, Jarrod Bowen, on Saturday, at a lavish bash in Buckinghamshire Dani Dyer has shared the adorable moment her proud dad, Danny, saw her in her wedding dress for the first time when she got married to Jarrod Bowen on Saturday. The Love Island star, 28, said she'd had the 'best day of her life' at the lavish nuptials in Buckinghamshire at which EastEnders star Danny, 47, played a very important role. In a gorgeous montage of snaps of the big day shared on Instagram, Danny can be seen waiting in anticipation for his firstborn to reveal her stunning wedding dress as she prepared to become Mrs Bowen. As Dani turns round, sporting a beautiful off-the-shoulder white silk gown, with her hair tied into an elegant bun, Danny's eyes fill with tears as he gives his daughter a huge hug. ‌ ‌ Danny walked Dani, who has now changed her name to Dani Dyer-Bowen, down the aisle at the wedding at the five-star Langley Hotel while the Love Island star's two-year-old twin daughters, Summer and Star, were flower girls. The Football Factory star also gave a speech during the reception, which was reportedly 'toned down' before the big day by Dani's mum, Jo. After the newlyweds said 'I do', Danny couldn't resist injecting a bit of football banter into the proceedings. In videos shared on social media, he can be heard encouraging guests to sing 'Bowen's On Fire - and he's married Dani Dyer ' to the tune of pop star Gala's hit Freed from Desire, as guests could be seen waving white napkins in the air. Speaking about how important it was for Danny to give Dani a wedding she'd 'never forget', a source told the Mirror: "Family is everything to Dani and Danny is the same way. He pulled out all of the stops to make sure it's a wedding no one would forget for his little girl – the best day of her life. ‌ "He adores her and actually says he's got her to thank for some things because Dani winning Love Island boosted his career too. Dani feels she has found her soulmate in Jarrod and it's a relief after she's had so many ups and downs. "Everyone else loves him too. Jarrod and Danny get on so well, which was important to Dani, so it was always going to be a wonderful celebration for the family.' ‌ Hammers fan Danny is also a huge fan of his son-in-law, who plays for his beloved West Ham football team. Speaking about his daughter's relationships, Danny told the Mirror: "I have gone from the lying scum, and I hate them, to a man who I would not mind tonguing myself! "A strong man. If he lent in I would put my lips on this geezer. He is just, as a father and joking aside, he took her on with a 14 month old son and that says a lot about a man I will tell you." He added: 'He is amazing. I can't wait to give her away. What a touch. But if he was to make a move on me before… I think I'm in love with him, slightly.'

Triple Coronation Street exit shock as end of an era is confirmed

To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video For 25 years Eileen Grimshaw (Sue Cleaver) has been a fixture in Coronation Street. The popular character has been through a huge amount of drama in that time, including raising two sons, being mother hen to numerous lodgers at number 11, enjoying/enduring a rivalry with Gail Platt (Helen Worth) and being married to a killer. But with Sue Cleaver having taken the decision to 'Embrace change, look for new adventures and live fearlessly' by moving on from the soap, Eileen's exit is fast approaching. Her final storyline saw the return of Katy Cavanagh as Eileen's sister Julie Carp. It was soon revealed that Julie was dealing with a terminal illness and didn't have long to live, and viewers have recently seen the sad scenes where Eileen returned to her sister with a cup of tea while they were on a day out to a beauty spot, only to find that Julie had died while she was gone. Julie's funeral brought another returnee in the form of Ryan Thomas as Eileen's son Jason. And in upcoming episodes we'll see Jason make Eileen a tempting offer. He's been living in Thailand since he left Weatherfield, and he suggests that Eileen could come back with him and be his business partner. Eileen's immediate reaction is that her partner, George Shuttleworth (Tony Maudsley), would never want to move to Thailand. Eileen has been struggling with her feelings for George recently, at one moment not sure she loves him but the next moment saying that she wants her future to be with him. Julie certainly thought that Eileen was selling herself short by settling for a relationship with George. But it seems that her decision about whether to accept Jason's offer hinges on George and he surprises her, saying that he's prepared to move his life to the other side of the world to be with her. In fact he's booked them a holiday to Thailand – leaving the very next day – so they can see if life there would suit them. Eileen's other son, Todd (Gareth Pierce) has recently embarked on a relationship with a man called Theo (James Cartwright), who's been struggling with his sexuality. Theo's daughter Millie has been staying at Eileen's briefly, and when she has to go home she tells Theo she wants him to move beck in with her and her mum. More Trending Theo replies that he wants to be with Todd and can't live a lie any more. His words give Eileen cause to reflect again about her feelings for George and whether she's settling for a relationship she's not really feeling. She made her EastEnders debut in 2017 before departing the long-running serial drama in 2024. Since then, the actress has undergone a huge transformation as she now looks almost unrecognisable from her alter-ego. The star took to her social media page as she flaunted her slim physique. She sported a slimming flower print crop top and trousers combo as she partied the night away at a special bingo event. Underneath the tied top, she sported a skin-tight white vest which only emphasised her tiny waist. For shoes, Lorraine opted for complimentary open-toe leather platform strapped heels for the occasion. Alongside flaunting her slim physique, the star also opened up on a huge new milestone in her life. She captioned the snap: "5 months sober & still had a good night dancing! #Sobriety." Lorraine added: "@Bingobangouk @thegaietysouthsea thanks for having us." EastEnders legend reveals secret to five stone weight loss The actress was written out of Eastenders in 2023 after seven years on the show in a huge shock to fans. Her character's axing was as part of a shock cast shake-up and her final scenes were aired in December of that year. She went onto reprise her fan-favourite role a number of times in 2024 before her last episode hit BBC screens in June. Since her exit, she has faced speculation over her dramatic weight loss transformation. EastEnders stars who QUIT MICHELLE Collins has seen her second EastEnders stint boost her bank balance. Yet what stars have quit this year? The Sun exclusively reported how Michelle, 62, was down to £20,000 in her company accounts when she agreed to a shock back-from-the-dead return to Albert Square last year. Her character, Cindy Beale, was presumed dead off-camera in 1998. Yet what about the 2024 exits? Earlier this summer, loyal soap fans appeared to note how Stevie Mitchell had "quit" the long-running series. It came after Alan Ford enjoyed just six-months on-screen. Bobby Beale actor Clay Milner Russell also left this year after five years in Walford. Fans also feared Martin Fowler actor James Bye would "quit out of boredom" over recent storylines. Additionally, a host of stars have quit the BBC soap for Hollywood fame. One of the most successful stars to come from the BBC One soap is Rob Kazinsky. He played Stacey Slater's brother Sean Slater from 2006 to 2009, he has starred in Hollywood blockbusters Pacific Rim and Captain Marvel. Ben Hardy, who quit EastEnders as Bobby Beale almost a decade ago, went on to break Hollywood the following year, when he starred as Archangel in X-Men: Apocalypse. Since then, he has played Roger Taylor in Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody, and he starred in Michael Bay's Netflix movie 6 Underground. Michelle Ryan played Zoe Slater until 2005. She starred as the lead in short-lived American series Bionic Woman from 2007 to 2008. However, Lorraine admitted it was not down to popular jabs like Ozempic or Mounjaro. Instead, Lorraine opted for the more traditional gastric sleeve operation. 6 The actress looks completely different from her former soap days Credit: PA 6 Lorraine is almost unrecognisable from her former on-screen alter-ego Credit: BBC 6 Lorraine Stanley instagram post, Credit: instagram
