Apoorva Mukhija compares India's Got Latent backlash to Rhea Chakraborty's experience: 'It's the audience that views, shares, and mocks this content'
Alongside Ranveer Allahabadia,
Apoorva
had come under fire for alleged inappropriate remarks that triggered mass outrage and multiple FIRs.
While legal proceedings are still underway, Apoorva is now shedding light on the aftermath of the backlash, particularly the media narrative and public response, which, she says, reminded her of what
Rhea Chakraborty
went through after the death of
Sushant Singh Rajput
.
'It's the audience that allows them to keep doing it'
Speaking to Bollywood Bubble, Apoorva called out the public's role in fuelling sensationalist content and encouraging toxic coverage.
Referring to the way Rhea was mobbed outside court during her own media trial, Apoorva said the cycle is perpetuated because of the demand for viral, clickable content.
'Look at the amount of views those videos have. People like us give them the right to do this. That sort of gives them the right to do this. It's the audience that views this content, shares it, and mocks it. That content is what allows them to keep doing it over and over again,' she said.

Apoorva Mukhija Evicted After 'Latent' Controversy | Chaos, Police & Silent Exit
Public reaction fuels toxic trends, says Apoorva
According to Apoorva, the consistent attention, whether in the form of outrage, mockery, or curiosity, is what keeps such content alive. She suggested that as long as the public continues to engage with these stories, creators and platforms will keep producing them.
Despite the trolling, criticism, and emotional toll, Apoorva maintains a reflective and composed stance. When asked how she remains strong, she responded with a mix of acceptance and humour: 'I mean, it's a combination of everything, honestly. I've just had a lot of experiences, but experiences are just stories; they make for great story times. So it's okay.'

Rey Mysterio vs. Dominik Mysterio: Net Worth Comparision, Current Salary, Contract Status and More
Rey Mysterio vs. Dominik Mysterio (Image Source: Getty) Both Rey Mysterio and his son Dominik Mysterio have made it to WWE, but their paths could not be more different. Rey has been a pro for over 30 years, while Dominik has made a name for himself after debuting in 2020. With both of them practically staples now on WWE programming, it kind of has everyone wondering exactly how well the duo is doing, what they're getting, and on what sort of deal. Here is a complete breakdown of how father and son go head-to-head. Rey Mysterio's finances and contract status Rey Mysterio's current net worth as of 2025 can be estimated to be around $10 million. A lot of this wealth comes from his decades of interning in WCW, WWE, and other global organizations. He has a base salary with WWE of around $174,000 a year, along with additional income from sales of merchandise, licensing deals, and bonuses from special events. Rey is still active and still signed to WWE in the SmackDown brand, even as a WWE Hall of Famer. He is under contract through at least the middle of 2025. Dominik Mysterio's wealth, salary, and contract update Dominik Mysterio, despite being a relative newcomer to WWE, had built an estimated fortune of approximately $2 million. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like 드디어! 2025년 최고의 전략 게임을 무료로 플레이하세요! Raid: Shadow Legends 플레이하기 Undo His yearly salary, now around $350,000, indicates his growing worth on the WWE roster. Especially after he won the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 41, Dominik, with the increase in pay-per-view bonuses and merchandise sold, has made a considerable amount of money. By his return in 2023, Dominik had signed a new WWE contract that is speculated to extend over a multi-year period, which may see him with the company until or around 2028. While specific details aren't immediately available, his new deal probably features performance incentives and a few increases at strategic points along the way. Dominik lives in Chula Vista (in the upscale part that Rey lives in) and owns the BMW 3 Series and BMW i8 (in the alias sets). Oddly enough, Dominik's earnings from wrestling go back to when he was just a child. He earned around $5,000 per segment, reportedly, when he was used early on in storylines in the mid-2000s. Final comparison and what lies ahead Rey Mysterio is still the richer of the two, with decades of experience and a name that keeps raking in the coin on T-shirts and brand deals. Dominik, however, is still getting started. That base salary is also higher than expected, but WWE is investing in his future as a superstar. Also Read: Good news for WWE star Dominik Mysterio as father Rey Mysterio says retirement is 'really close' With Dominik continuing to establish his name and earn accolades, he has a good chance of making even more than his father one day. Besides, for now, Rey is king when it comes to legacy, net or otherwise, in the Mysterio family. Game On Season 1 continues with Mirabai Chanu's inspiring story. Watch Episode 2 here.

After reigning in the wrestling industry for almost three decades, WWE legend Andre the Giant passed away on January 28, 1993, of an apparent heart attack in his sleep in Paris at a hotel named Hotel De La Tremoille.
