Gattuso, who won the World Cup with Italy, replaces Luciano Spalletti as the national team manager.

This is his first step into international management after working at a series of clubs from 2013.
Gattuso managed Sion, Palermo, OFI Crete, Pisa twice, AC Milan, Napoli, Valencia, Marseille and Hajduk Split before being called upon by his country.
A statement confirmed: "Federazione Italiana Giuoco Calcio is pleased to announce that Gennaro Gattuso will be the new First Team Head Coach.

Simply captioned "12 years later," it shows an image of a young Nathan playing for Everton in 2013, followed by one of him celebrating a goal for Ipswich last year. The final picture, titled "Now," shows Nathan sporting a Wrexham shirt while kneeling on the pitch at the Racecourse Ground back in his academy days. While the deal has not been confirmed by either club, supporters have taken it as a sign that his return is imminent after a screengrab of the post was shared on X by the Fearless in Devotion fan account. One person replied: "That's all the info we need." While someone else posted: "As good as an official announcement, that." Another supporter wrote: "Someone may have just let it slip also outside the ground too." Ipswich fans also seemed convinced, with one adding: "You've got yourselves one hell of a player. Good luck this season." Broadhead has bagged 23 goals in 83 appearances for Ipswich in total and his arrival at Wrexham would be seen as a big coup. Aug 5 (Reuters) - Serie A referees will begin announcing VAR decisions live in stadiums and on television starting next season, referee designator Gianluca Rocchi told Italian media on Tuesday. Rocchi described the move as a significant step forward in communication between referees and the public, saying the aim was to make officiating decisions quicker and clearer. "We have a select group of officials and we want to ensure the language is as uniform as possible so that decisions can be clear to the public," Rocchi said. The concept of referees explaining decisions to the crowd has also been explored in countries including England and Germany. The Serie A season kicks off on August 23.
