Taylor Swift Declares ‘Happy Gilmore 2' a ‘Must Watch' — Which Happens to Star Travis Kelce

Travis Kelce is one of the surprising stars to cameo in the Adam Sandler-starring film, and his scene is teased by Swift's emoji choice. (We won't spoil the cameo for you.) Eminem, Eric André, Post Malone, Bad Bunny, and Margaret Qualey are among the A-listers to also make appearances in the movie.
'Travis is such a gentle, nice guy, and funny as hell,' Sandler told Entertainment Tonight. 'He's like the guys I grew up with. When I was with Travis, it reminded me of my buddies in high school and just being able to laugh and say the things you want to say.'
Happy Gilmore 2 officially dropped on Netflix on Friday, and arrives nearly 30 years after the first film, in which Gilmore (played by Sandler) tries to make a golf comeback after failing at hockey. Like in the original, Gilmore continues to fly off the handle when things don't go as he plans, and some of the original cast — including Julie Bowen (who portrays love interest Virginia Venit), Christopher McDonald (playing nemesis Shooter McGavin), and Ben Stiller (Hal) — reprise their roles.
'The whole shebang works better than you might think, partly because nostalgia is one powerful narcotic and partly because you can't underestimate the sheer pleasure of watching people get repeatedly hit in the nuts with balls,' read a Rolling Stone review of the film.

Scottie Scheffler's 'Happy Gilmore 2' PGA cameo offers arrest, jail parody. 'Oh no, not again'
Spoiler alert! We're discussing important plot points during "Happy Gilmore 2" (streaming now). If you haven't seen the movie yet and don't want to know anything about the plot, stop reading now! Scottie Scheffler makes a few appearances in "Happy Gilmore 2" and a few of his scenes poke fun at his Louisville arrest during the 2024 PGA Championship tournament. Here's what to know. As previously reported by the Courier Journal, Scheffler makes a cameo in Adam Sandler's "Happy Gilmore 2" along with several other pro golfers. ⛳: PGA golfers Justin Thomas, Scottie Scheffler appear in 'Happy Gilmore 2' In the movie, Scheffler gets arrested for punching someone on the green. As the cops are coming to get him, he says, "Oh no, not again" — which is a reference to when he got arrested before the second round of the 2024 PGA Championship in Louisville. As he's being handcuffed in the movie, he says: "I know the drill." Shortly after this scene, Scheffler is seen in a prison cell watching the competition he got disqualified from on TV. He has an interaction with one of his cellmates who wants to change the channel. "Frankie, sit your ass down, we're watching golf," Scheffler says. In a final scene during the credits, it is revealed Scheffler has been in his cell watching golf for three days. The bailiff asks him if he'd like to make a call, to which Scheffler replies: "It depends. What's for dinner?" After the bailiff tells him they're having chicken fingers, Scheffler responds "I'll stick around another night." Detective Gillis suffered pain, swelling, and abrasions to his left wrist and knee." He spent only 72 minutes in jail before he returned to Valhalla to compete. Charges were later dropped. The Oscar-winning writer-director behind The Shape of Water and Pinocchio is bringing the classic tale to Netflix. Here's everything we know about the forthcoming film. Frankenstein is based on the 1818 Mary Shelley novel, Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus. Here's the film's official logline, per Variery: According to Vanity Fair, del Toro's version of Frankenstein will dive deeper into the characters' family dynamics. 'These are the parallels between Pinocchio and Frankenstein,' he said. 'It's the idea of a person going from a baby to a human being in a short span of time and being exposed to everything—cold, warmth, violence, love, loss. And then going to his creator to say, 'Why? Why did you put me here? Why didn't you give me the answers? What do I have to learn in my suffering?'' Oscar Isaac will play the scientist Dr. Victor Frankenstein, and Jacob Elordi will play Frankenstein's creature. Andrew Garfield was originally cast as Frankenstein's creature, but had to drop out due to scheduling conflicts. 'Andrew Garfield stepping out and Jacob coming in... I mean, it was like Jacob is the most perfect actor for the creature,' del Toro told Vanity Fair. 'And we have a supernaturally good connection. It's like, very few words. Very few things I have to say, and he does it.' 'Because I came in so late, everything happened on top of each other at the same time,' Elordi added. 'I was shooting as I was seeing, as I was understanding.' The cast is rounded out by Mia Goth as Elizabeth, the fiancée of Dr. Frankenstein's younger brother; Christoph Waltz as Harlander, an arms dealer; and David Bradley, a blind old man. Felix Kammerer, Lars Mikkelsen, and Christian Convery will also star. Elordi shared that he went back and watched all of the previous Frankenstein movies, which date back to 1931. 'I devoured all of his monsters,' Elordi said of the late actor Boris Karloff's portrayal of the creature. 'At first I thought, 'I'll stay away from this. I want to do my own thing.' And then I asked Guillermo, 'Should I watch the other Frankensteins?' And he goes, 'What the fuck do you mean?' I was like, 'Well, I don't want it to be influenced.' He says, 'My friend, it's a movie, it can't fucking hurt you.' I went home, and I just binged them.' Frankenstein will be released in November on Netflix. An exact date has yet to be announced. On May 31, Netflix released the official teaser. And on July 28, Vanity Fair unveiled images from the film, which include a first look at Elordi as Frankenstein's monster.
