and Warner Bros. launching the second season of Peacemaker. The Peacemaker season 2 trailer launch occurred two weeks after Superman was released in theaters and proved to be a blockbuster success. The movie earned more than $200 million in North America.

Meanwhile, back in the real world, Frank Grillo's Rick Flag Sr. (from Superman) is out to close the portal in his face-off with Peacemaker. Says Leota in the new trailer to Chris, 'No matter how great the grass is over there, you belong here with us.' Peacemaker season 2 premieres on HBO on August 21.

Speaking on Season 2's Smith, Gunn said, 'I really like TV shows where the characters don't just return every season and they're the same exact characters. I want to see growth. I want to see change and sometimes regression.'
'And Peacemaker is a different guy this year. He's dealing with the demons he uncovered from the first season and trying to deal with them, and the world is not accepting him the way he is. They aren't accepting him as a hero,' he added.
Gunn's Superman film directly connects to Peacemaker season 2, bringing in supporting characters like Green Lantern/Guy Gardner (Nathan Fillion), Hawkgirl/Kendra Saunders (Isabel Merced), and Maxwell Lord (Sean Gunn).
In the first season finale, Christopher Smith (John Cena) saves the world from alien butterflies. It's revealed that Leota (Danielle Brooks) is the daughter of Amanda Waller (Viola Davis). The season ends with Chris sitting on his porch, reflecting, alongside the ghost of his father, Auggie (Robert Patrick), who is expected to keep appearing like a sarcastic Obi-Wan Kenobi. Chris also keeps Goff (the butterfly who possessed Sophie) alive, and inherits a house full of weapons and costumes from his dad.

Danielle Brooks came down with illness, seemingly food poisoning, after going out to dinner with Gunn, who got over it by this morning. Cena took the opportunity to chug water to avoid getting sick. The actor then joked about peeing in his suit. Gunn also mentioned that Eagley gets his own Lex Luther in Michael Rooker, who plays a world-renowned eagle hunter.
The second season will feature John Cena, Danielle Brooks, Freddie Stroma, Jennifer Holland, Steve Agee, Frank Grillo, Sol Rodríguez, David Denman, Brey Noelle, and Tim Meadows. Joel Kinnaman is rumored to return as Rick Flag Jr. James Gunn wrote all eight episodes of Peacemaker and directed three, including the premiere. Gunn, Peter Safran, and Cena are executive producers, with Greg Mottola, Peter Sollett, and Alethea Jones also directing.

India's giant space leap: After NISAR mission, Isro to launch 6,500-kg US satellite
The Indian Space Research Organisation ( Isro ) has come a long way from receiving a small rocket from the United States six decades ago to preparing to launch American satellites from Indian soil. In the next couple of months, Isro will be launching a 6,500 kg communication satellite built by the US, the agency's chairman, V Narayanan, announced on Sunday. Speaking at an event near Chennai, Narayanan said this mission will follow the historic launch of the Nasa-Isro Synthetic Aperture Radar (NISAR) mission onboard a GSLV-F16 rocket on July 30. 'In another couple of months, a country which received a tiny rocket from the United States, is going to launch a 6,500 kg communication satellite built by the America using our own launcher from Indian soil. What a significant growth it is,' he noted. Narayanan, who is also the secretary of the department of space, was conferred the honorary Doctor of Science degree by Maharashtra governor C P Radhakrishnan during the 21st Convocation of the SRM Institute of Science and Technology at Kattankulathur, near Chennai. Recalling Isro's beginnings, he said the agency was set up in 1963 when India lagged six to seven years behind advanced nations. 'The satellite was placed in orbit precisely by Indian launcher (GSLV). And today, we are shoulder to shoulder with advanced countries,' he said. He added that Nasa's team had praised Isro for the precision of the GSLV-F16/NISAR mission. Highlighting India's rise in the global space sector, Narayanan said that from having no satellite technology 50 years ago, Isro has now launched 433 satellites for 34 countries using its own launch vehicles.
