James Van Der Beek shared a heartfelt tribute to his wife Kimberly as they celebrated their 15-year anniversary amid his cancer battle.
Posting via Instagram on Friday, August 1, James, 48, gushed over his partner and credited her for all her support, especially since his diagnosis in 2023.
'15 years ago today, this woman agreed to be my bride,' James captioned a photo of the couple. '@vanderkimberly you are the most extraordinary human I've ever met. One day I'll tell the story of what you've endured these last two years and how you've shown up, time and time and time again. You have not only saved my life… you've shown me what it is to live.'
He continued, 'There are no words for how much I love and appreciate you. I could not do this without you.'
Concluding the caption, he added, 'Happy anniversary my love ❤️'
James Van Der Beek's Wife Kimberly Sends Supportive Message After He Reveals Cancer Diagnosis
The Dawson's Creek alum met Kimberly in 2009 during a trip to Israel and recalled the serendipitous meeting via an Instagram caption in 2020.
'I was in Israel, on a trip with an organized group, when it hit me: I was done being single. I wanted a real relationship. A soul mate. Someone with whom I could build a family. I was mid-revelation, rattling all this off to a friend of mine when a voice interrupted us, wanting to ask him a question,' James wrote. 'I was annoyed. Who the hell was stepping all over my moment? I turned around … it was @vanderkimberly.'
The pair hit it off, and went on to wed in August 2010 in a small ceremony in Tel Aviv. Since then, they've welcomed six children together: daughters Olivia, 14, Annabel, 11, Emilia, 9, and Gwendolyn, 6, and sons Joshua, 13, and Jeremiah, 2.
The actor first publicly revealed his cancer diagnosis in November 2024, sharing that he had stage 3 colorectal cancer. He had been battling the disease since being diagnosed in 2023.
To mark his 48th birthday in May, James posted an Instagram video and admitted it had been the 'hardest year of my life' as he explained the effect his cancer battle has had on his family.

James explained that defining himself as a 'loving, capable, strong, supportive husband, father, provider, steward of the land' was central to his identity — and this was something thrown into disarray by his diagnosis.
'And then this year, I had to look my own mortality in the eye. I came nose to nose with death,' he said. 'All of those definitions that I cared so deeply about were stripped from me. I was away for treatment so I could no longer be a husband who was helpful to my wife. I could no longer be a father who could pick up his kids and put them to bed and be there for them.'
However, he concluded that he managed to realize he was still worthy of love and self-love despite this dynamic shifting.

Michelle Obama calls husband Barack Obama 'my everything' in sweet birthday post

Michelle Obama shared a sweet message for her husband, former president Barack Obama, on his birthday. The former first lady took to Instagram and shared a photo with Barack Obama, along with a sweet note. "Happy birthday to my love, my best friend, my everything!" she wrote. "@BarackObama, even after all these years, you're still the coolest guy I know. 💕" Barack Obama replied in the comments and wrote, "Love you, Miche! And thanks everybody for all the birthday wishes." The sweet note comes months after Michelle Obama set the record straight about her marriage to Barack Obama. During a conversation with Sophia Bush on the "Work in Progress" podcast in April, she addressed divorce rumors that have circulated about her and the former president after he had attended several events solo earlier this year. In July, she and Barack Obama also laughed off divorce rumors during an episode of her and her brother's podcast, "IMO." "There hasn't been one moment in our marriage where I thought about quittin' my man. And we've had some really hard times," Michelle Obama said. "We have had a lot of fun times, a lot of adventures, and I have become a better person because of the man I'm married to." Barack and Michelle Obama wed in Chicago in 1992.

Duchess Meghan turns 44: British royal gets sweet birthday shoutout from As Ever brand

Duchess Meghan may be busy building her business kingdom, but today she's being crowned. The British American royal and entrepreneur, who turned 44 on Monday, Aug. 4, received a warm birthday shoutout on Instagram from her lifestyle brand As Ever, which launched in April to fan acclaim. The company, which has become known for its homey aesthetic and assortment of fruit spreads, herbal teas and baking mixes, shared a black-and-white photo of the duchess wearing a sun dress and wide-brimmed hat alongside its celebratory message. "Celebrating the woman behind it all," the company wrote in the post's caption. "She pours her heart, vision and magic touch into every detail, and today, we raise a glass to her! Happy birthday to our founder @meghan 🥂" See Duchess Meghan's daughter Lilibet: Young princess makes adorable cameo in As Ever teaser Meghan, who is married to Prince Harry, has yet to share any glimpses of her birthday festivities with her 4.1 million Instagram followers. The Duchess of Sussex has been more open about her family life with Harry, which includes children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, with a series of candid posts. Meghan first teased As Ever in March 2024 when she made a buzzy return to Instagram after a yearslong social media hiatus to introduce fans to the lifestyle project, formerly named American Riviera Orchard. The duchess later revealed she renamed the brand As Ever because the previous title, a reference to her and Harry's Montecito residence, "limited me to things that were just manufactured and grown in this area." The first As Ever drop sold out in under an hour, and one product — the limited-edition wildflower honey with honeycomb for $28 — had fans buzzing, selling out in less than five minutes. The featured products in the company's first collection included $12 herbal tea in three flavors: hibiscus, peppermint and lemon ginger. "Goodness in a glass. Right around the corner... Cheers to August!" the company wrote alongside the teaser. As Ever is produced alongside Netflix, which also distributes Meghan's lifestyle show "With Love, Meghan." The series premiered in March and was quickly renewed for a second season, although a release date has not been announced. Contributing: Taijuan Moorman and Jay Stahl, USA TODAY

Love Island: Who is the TOWIE cast member Ben and Tommy both ‘kissed' at same event?

Love Island's Tommy Bradley and Ben Holbrough have confessed to kissing the same girl at the same event, so who is the mystery woman? While appearing on tonight's grand Love Island finale, the pair were interviewed about their relationships with the women they left the show with. Tommy confessed he and Lucy were no longer together, after he had kissed a woman at an event he went to. He explained: "I went to my first event, free bar, unlimited drinks. Half an hour, five blue lagoon cocktails. This girl came up to me." Host Maya Jama then asked if he and Lucy were exclusive at this point to which he said no they weren't before adding: "I went to an event and kissed someone." Tommy then clarified that it was "disrespectful" to Lucy and the pair are now just friends. Before his interview ended Tommy added that he "didn't remember" the kiss. Ben was then asked about his relationship status with Andrada, whom he left the Villa with. To this Ben began speaking and said: "I was at the same event [as Tommy]." Andrada then added: "with the same girl." The crowd reacted in shock with Ben and Tommy looking embarassed. So who is the mystery woman the pair both kissed at the same event? Here's what you need to know about her. Earlier this week it was revealed Ben and Andrada had split after pictures emerged of Ben holding hands with TOWIE star Dani Imbert at the event Ben had attended with Tommy. The pair were said to be very intimate during the evening, with a source telling The Sun: "There was instant attraction from the moment they met - they spent two hours kissing at the party it was all very intimate. It's clearly very much over with Andrada as Dani seemed to be the only thing on his mind." Given Ben's closeness to Dani, it's likely she is the same woman Tommy kissed at the event. Dani, 27, is best known for appearing on ITV's reality series TOWIE, having joined the show in 2021. She has over 125,000 followers on Instagram. Love Island is available for catchup on ITVX now
