CM asks Sri City team to actively support ‘P4'
The gathering brought together distinguished leaders from industry and business sectors to discuss the P4 (Public-Private-People Partnership) initiative, which is designed to uplift underprivileged communities across the state.
Following the meeting, Srini Raju, Sannareddy, Taizo Iwami (MD, IMOP), and Yuichi Tomita (Plant Head, Aisan Auto Parts) met the Chief Minister on behalf of the Sri City industrial community. The Chief Minister urged them to actively support the initiative and help uplift the underprivileged across the State.
The delegation pledged Sri City's full backing for the P-4 programme, expressing confidence in its potential to drive inclusive and transformative development in Andhra Pradesh.

Budameru disaster due to failure of NDA
Vijayawada: Former MLA and Vijayawada Central Constituency Coordinator Malladi Vishnu alleged Budameru flood disaster in September 2024 was a major failure of the current NDA administration. He said no leader held even a single review meeting before the floods struck and devastated the Vijayawada city and lakhs of people suffered. Vishnu responded to the comments made by P Narayana, the minister for municipal administration and urban development. Narayana alleged that the YSRCP administration was held responsible for the Budameru disaster. During his visit to the city, Narayana on Saturday blamed the YSRCP government. YSRCP leader Malladi Vishnu on Sunday responded to the allegations of minister Narayana. Vishnu said lakhs of people suffered due to Budameru floods. He said despite Rs 500 crore received by Chief Minister's Relief Fund, only minimal aid reached victims, and even the District Collector's office did not respond to public grievances, he alleged. Malladi Vishnu made these comments during the YSRCP meeting titled 'Babu Surety and Fraud Guarantee' held on Sunday in 64th Division of the Central Constituency under the supervision of Division Corporator Yerragorla Tirupatamma. Vishnu said the YSRCP launched a massive campaign against the NDA rule and its failure to deliver Super Six promises made to the people. Malladi Vishnu stated that the campaign has already been taken across three clusters in the Central Constituency and will now extend to all divisions. 'Chandrababu Naidu misled the public with fraudulent promises before the elections and came to power. Now, their leaders have no courage to face the people or explain what they've accomplished,' he said. He said that not a single one of the 'Super Six' schemes promised by Naidu before the elections has been implemented. He said the NDA government has borrowed over Rs 2 lakh crore loans in just one year, yet it's only notable act has been raising pensions to Rs.4,000, Vishnu claimed. He criticised the government for increasing public debt by 15.61 percent in one year, calling it 'unsustainable and irresponsible.'

Sensex opens over 300 points lower, Nifty below 24,800; Kotak Bank down 4%
Benchmark stock market indices opened lower on Monday, starting the week on a negative note as IT and private banking sector stocks fell in early trade. Kotak Mahindra Bank was the biggest loser, tumbling 6.40%, followed by Tata Consultancy Services which fell 1.44%, Bharti Airtel down 0.91%, Infosys down 0.90%, and Titan Company which dropped 0.86%.The Nifty Midcap100 gained 0.57% while Nifty Smallcap100 rose 0.29%, and India VIX jumped 3.81%.Among the sectoral indices, several showed positive momentum with Nifty Oil & Gas leading at 0.61%, followed by Nifty Pharma at 0.58%, Nifty Metal at 0.59%, Nifty Auto at 0.52%, Nifty FMCG at 0.51%, Nifty Healthcare at 0.45%, Nifty PSU Bank at 0.32%, Nifty Consumer Durables at 0.25%, and Nifty Financial Services at 0.12%.Nifty Realty faced the biggest decline at 2.14%, followed by Nifty Private Bank which dropped 1.07%. Other losers included Nifty IT at 0.34% and Nifty Media at 0.33%."The sharp cut in the IT index has been dragging the market down, and there is no respite in this in view of the 2% cut in its global workforce announced by TCS. However, midcap IT names hold promise in view of their strong growth prospects. FII selling of Rs 13552 crores in the cash market last week has added to the weakness in the market," said Vijayakumar."Yet another concern is the Q1 results, which are not yet indicating any major positive surprises. Investors have to be cautious and stock-specific in this weak phase of the market. There is safety in largecaps banks like ICICI Bank and HDFC Bank which have come out with the best results in the segment with prospects of improvement going forward," he added.
