Maura Higgins shares first glimpse inside incredible new £3,200,000 home

Metro21-07-2025
Maura Higgins has finally moved into her 'dream' £3.2million Essex mansion, giving fans a first look at its sleek kitchen and sprawling garden.
The Love Island star, 34, revealed to her Instagram followers in October that she was swapping her one-bedroom property for a luxury new mansion.
On Sunday, the reality TV personality posted some pictures from inside the home after moving in over the weekend.
Posting a snap inside the sleek grey kitchen with views through large French doors into a manicured garden, she wrote: 'After the busiest few months…. she's finally in.'
On the kitchen counter, she showed a large bouquet of flowers, a bottle of sparkling wine, and a candle to celebrate the occasion.
A second picture on her Instagram Stories showed celebrity hairdresser friend Carl Bembridge sitting on a kitchen surface, adding: 'No chairs yet but he always finds something to sit on.'
Last year, Maura shared a similar snap of the modern-style kitchen announcing that she had bought a new home, writing alongside the picture: 'Bought my dream home.'
The I'm A Celebrity star has been relatively out of the spotlight following her kiss with Danny Jones at the Brit Awards.
Maura has remained silent on the kissing scandal, but the McFly singer issued a public apology to his wife, model Georgia Horsley.
In an Instagram Story, he wrote: 'Sorry it's taken me a while to post this but I've taken some time out to be with those closest to me.
'I want to deeply apologise to my wife and family for putting them in this situation. I love them so much and we'll continue to deal with this privately.
'I love you guys, thank you for your patience, understanding, and support. See you all soon, Danny.' More Trending
Danny skipped the Baftas in May with a source telling Metro it was in a bid to avoid Maura following the fallout of the scandal.
'Danny wasn't ready to bump into Maura after everything that happened. He's ready to move on from the situation entirely and put it in the past,' they said.
'Although a lot of his I'm A Celebrity co-stars were there last night and it would have been great to see them again, he didn't feel coming face-to-face with Maura at such a big event would have been appropriate.'
Maura is next set to appear on our screens on the US spin-off of The Traitors alongside the likes of Lisa Rinna, Michael Rapaport, and Porsha Williams.

Mind-bending' TV drama that had fans calling in sick races up Netflix chart

A mind-bending Netflix series that had fans lying to their bosses so they could binge the 'gut-wrenching' finale has raced up the Netflix chart. Part two of the second season of The Sandman, adapted from Neil Gaiman's beloved comic book series, dropped on Netflix on July 24. Since landing on the service, the second season has flown to #3 on the Netflix Top Ten and been viewed more than three million times. The second season focuses on Dream and his epic final journey as he seeks to rebuild his kingdom following his dramatic battle with Doctor John Dee. However, the show has been marred by accusations against Gaiman, which sent shockwaves through his fan base earlier this year. Despite that, the show has remained extremely popular with its fans, even causing them to 'call in sick' so they can watch it. Before it was released on the streaming platform, Sullyville said on Reddit: 'I called in sick. I just had an iced coffee. I'm here with you all waiting for the drop.' Taking to X, @DailyJakeSweet added: 'Well, it's over. The Sandman is over. I'm a mess I won't tell more to avoid spoilers but I'm happy that we were given such a great adaptation, with a fabulous cast. Also, I didn't stop crying, did I mention I'm a mess?' @LauraRival1 commented: 'I have no words, it's magnificent, this adaptation is a jewel with intense emotions. The actors are just perfect! Thank you all for bringing this story to life!' @howlnini also said: 'TheSandmanSeason2 a beautiful end to a beautiful show :) What a ride! I will remain seated for the final episode.' To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video Despite the overwhelmingly positive reactions to the series, Netflix has already confirmed that this will be the last we see of Dream (Tom Sturridge). In an announcement that came in the wake of sexual misconduct allegations levied against Gaiman, who co-developed the show from his comics. Ahead of the season, Netflix released a teaser trailer for The Sandman season two, which did not mention Gaiman by name. Allan Heinberg, the Sandman showrunner, also avoided mentioning Gaiman or the allegations against him when he shared a statement about the show's conclusion. 'The Sandman series has always been focused exclusively on Dream's story, and back in 2022, when we looked at the remaining Dream material from the comics, we knew we only had enough story for one more season,' he told Netflix's Tudum. More Trending Several of Gaiman's upcoming projects have been cancelled or delayed in the wake of the allegations. Most notably, we're still waiting to find out when season 3 of the Prime Video show Good Omens will air, while Dark Horse Comics has cancelled Gaiman's Anansi Boys series. The Sandman season 2 part two is available to stream on Netflix. View More » An earlier version of this story was published on July 24. Got a story? But it was the moment Cach's siblings left the villa that caught fan attention, as Helena made a cheeky comment after meeting Cach's younger brother. Helena was seen giving him a hug, and she then turned to Cach and said: 'Your brother is quite fit.' Cach looked surprised, as he replied: 'He's 20.' But that didn't appear to put Helena off, as she went on: 'I can deal with that.' Viewers slammed Helena for her comment on social media, with one person writing: 'sorry @Ofcom can you get helena out???? did she say she can 'handle/deal with that' about Cach's 20 YEAR OLD brother? ' A second person wrote: 'sorry did i hear correctly???????? helena said she could deal with cach's brother being 20??????? nasty stinking girl.' A third echoed: 'what does Helena mean by she can 'deal with' Cach's 20 year old brother.' Another wrote on X: 'Cach was so weirded out by Helena and honestly same like why are you looking at his 20-year-old younger brother and he even had to tell her twice he's 20.' Someone else penned: 'Helena WTF!!! YOU CAN SEE HOW YOUNG CACH'S BROTHER IS!!!!! HE SHOULDN'T HAVE HAD TO TELL HER HE'S 20!!!! GIRL YOU ARE AN ICK.' Harry and Helena break down in tears as they cut final romantic ties in emotional scenes And another said: 'cach telling helena his brothers 20, and her response is 'i can deal with that' !? Helena you are how old ?? this women is sick.' It's been a tough time in the villa for Helena, after she and Harry split and he recoupled with Shakira Khan. Harry admitted that he still had feelings for Shakira, despite being exclusive with Helena Ford. Then Shakira ended her couple partnership with Conor Phillips saying she had suppressed her feelings towards Harry. When Harry suggested that he and Helena may eventually become friends on the outside, she shut him down once again. "I don't think we will be friends, Harry. You don't possess any morals or values that I look for when I'm becoming friends with people. "My friends don't treat me like that. I don't think you have an ounce of respect for me, you've literally ruined everything for me in here." She added: "I literally don't want anything to do with you Harry." That's when the footballers couldn't help but tear up after listening to her resounding words of rejection. Helena added: "I feel like I had something genuine in here and it's like obviously it wasn't. "I just feel so stupid because you clearly haven't felt the same as I felt about you this whole time." She couldn't help but wrap her arms around his neck in a gesture of pity as she caressed his face one more time. As they let go she exclaimed: "It's where the journey ends my darling!" 5 It's been a tough time in the villa for Helena after her split from Harry Credit: Eroteme

Actress shares major update on Madonna biopic after having to ‘convince' star

Julia Garner has revealed the Madonna biopic, in which she will play the music icon, is still in the works. She also reassured fans about the delay, saying that 'anything that's great…takes a long time'. The Ozark actress was reportedly cast as the Material Girl hitmaker in 2022 but months later, the project was placed on hold, and its fate has been up in the air ever since. However, Julia said in a new interview on Monday that it is 'supposed to still happen'. The Fantastic Four: First Steps star had been a fan of Madonna when she was growing up so knew she had to audition as soon as she heard the project was in the pipeline. She told the SmartLess podcast of her initial involvement with the biopic: 'It just came about… like I knew that they were doing a project, making a movie about it, and then I went out to audition. I kind of just wanted to see if I could do it.' The 31-year-old actress has no dance training, so she had to learn how to move and then show off her skills in front of Madonna herself – as well as sing with her – and 'convince' the 66-year-old that she could do both. Naturally, a very daunting situation – but the Inventing Anna star decided to channel the Vogue hitmaker during the nerve-wracking process. Explaining that she asked herself what Madonna would do, she added: 'Which is like convince you that she deserves to be in this room. And I owned it. I was like, 'You can take it or leave it, but if you leave it, if I leave, then that's on you.'' In July last year, Madonna revealed she was working on a new draft script for the biopic, which is expected to be titled Who's That Girl in a nod to the singer's 1987 movie and song of the same name. She will also be directing the movie. Madonna took to Instagram and posted a collection of photos of herself working on the script with the caption: 'I Need A-lot of Bandz to make this ……….. OKAY. (Story of my life) [sic].' The film was announced in 2020, and Oscar-winning Juno scribe Diablo Cody and Snow White's Erin Cressida Wilson were brought on to help the Like A Virgin hitmaker with the script and screenplay. However, in January 2023, it was revealed the film had been paused indefinitely at Universal Pictures. After the movie was shelved, Madonna went on her Celebration Tour in October 2023 to mark four decades in the music industry, but reportedly resumed work on the project once she got back home in June in the hopes she could finalise the script with Universal. An industry insider previously told The Sun newspaper's Bizarre column: 'Madonna has only just finished her tour but in her mind it is on to the next project and fulfilling her dream of getting the biopic made. 'Julia is still her lead actress and they have remained in touch for the past year, talking through ideas. They are committed to creating some magic.' The duo had also hyped up fans by being photographed together at a celebrity party in May that year, chowing down on chips, while Julia also appeared onstage during the tour with Madonna in December 2023. The Papa Don't Preach chart-topper had explained she wanted to both direct and write the movie because she wanted complete control over the project. She told Variety: 'I've had an extraordinary life, I must make an extraordinary film. 'It was also a pre-emptive strike because a lot of people were trying to make movies about me. Mostly misogynistic men. 'So I put my foot in the door and said, 'No one's going to tell my story, but me.'' More Trending Madonna would be following a line of musical biopics produced in recent years, including Queen film Bohemian Rhapsody, Sir Elton John movie Rocketman and the underperforming Better Man, based on the life of Robbie Williams. Garner is currently in cinemas as the Silver Surfer opposite Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach in the MCU's reboot of The Fantastic Four. It's enjoyed a strong opening, raking in $218million (£163.3m) already, surpassing the summer's other superhero flack in DC Studio's Superman from director James Gunn. Got a story?
