The Nevada County Sheriff's Office said that several agencies took part in an operation to serve the warrant before 9 a.m. in the 15000 block of Tyler Foote Crossing Road.
Clay Leffew, 52, was taken into custody for attempted murder, aggravated assault with a gun, possession of a firearm by a prohibited person and discharge of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
Leffew was booked into the Wayne Brown Correctional Facility without bail, according to the Sheriff's Office.
The investigation is ongoing.

Silver Alert issued for missing 69-year-old man in Pierce County, deputies say
A 69-year-old man has been missing from his home since early Tuesday morning, according to the Pierce County Sheriff's Office. David Quintana left his home at around 2 a.m. He called his family around 7 a.m. saying he was confused and did not know where he was, the Sheriff's Office wrote on X. The post said that Quintana's phone shows he may be in the Fife area. Quintana is 5-foot-10 with gray/brown hair and has brown eyes, according to the Silver Alert.
