The London Marathon may have been and gone, but it has left some with the running bug to start training for next year's 26.2 mile event, or maintain their fitness post slog. Thankfully, Decathlon has heard those cries for running assistance, and brought back its popular RunDays.
As part of Decathlon's RunDays the sports retailer will host 10 events near Decathlon stores across the country to help bring runners of all ages and abilities together.
The RunDays will take place from May through to October in a bid to get people moving, make friends, find a new community outside of the workplace, and make running fun for all. After all, there is nothing better than running in a group rather than solo, which can be the deterrent for some.
Following a successful 2024 season that saw more than 3,000 participants lace up their trainers, this year's RunDays are set to be even bigger. The running events will stretch 5K, which is designed to suit families, friends, beginners and seasoned pros too. The best part is the RunDays are available for all, even young children, and it is not timed, so you can enjoy a pressure-free run. More Trending
For just £5, participants not only get to join the run club, but will receive a goodie bag that includes a commemorative medal, a free KIPRUN race t-shirt, a Tenzing energy drink or water, and a TREK Natural Energy bar. Plus, Decathlon offers attendees a £5 in-store voucher after the run, which technically means you are getting your entry back, and in girl math terms that means joining is free.
Decathlon has also partnered with JogOn to reduce unwanted running shoes ending up in landfills. As part of this incentive all you have to do is bring old running shoes, no matter the condition, to the collection points at the RunDays events section.
The 10 events will take place in Sheffield, Liverpool, Surrey Quays, Oxford, Leeds, Stockport, Southampton, Giltbrook, Braehead and Reading across the next few months, though the last run will end on October 5.
So, what are you waiting for? Sign up now, and get your trainers ready.
Sheffield, May 25
Liverpool, June 1
Surrey Quays, June 8
Oxford, June 22
Leeds, July 13
Stockport, July 20
Southampton, August 10
Giltbrook, August 24

Fancy winning over £250 worth of SPF goodies from Hello Sunday? Here's how

Metro journalists select and curate the products that feature on our site. If you make a purchase via links on this page we will earn commission – learn more Hey, you… yes you! How would you like to win over £250 worth of gorgeous Hello Sunday treats? Forget the thick, greasy sunscreens of the past, this UK-based brand is all about lightweight, skin-loving formulas that slot into your routine without any fuss. The packaging is cute, the names are playful (like 'The One That's a Serum'), and the products do more than just protect you from the sun – they also shield your skin from pollution and blue light. How good is that? Better yet, they're vegan, cruelty-free, and packed with good-for-you ingredients like hyaluronic acid and vitamin C. Basically, they've taken all the boring bits out of SPF and made it something you'll actually want to wear every day – which, we hate to remind you, but you should be doing all year round too. Now we've teamed up with Hello Sunday to give one of you over £250 worth of goodies, including 'The One That's A Serum' (worth £23), and 'The Mineral One SPF 50' (worth £26). The ultra-light, glow-giving formula that 'The Mineral One SPF' has is basically skincare's answer to a triple-shot oat latte: hydrating, energising, and totally addictive. It glides on like a dream (no chalky cast in sight), leaving your skin dewy, calm, and ready to face the day. Packed with antioxidant-rich Kukui Oil and vitamin E, it's like a mini shield for your face – fighting off free radicals, smoothing fine lines, and helping to fade dark spots while you get on with your life. And thanks to hyaluronic acid, your skin stays plump and juicy whether it's heatwave season or mid-winter chill. Fragrance-free, featherlight, and designed for everyday wear, this is SPF that works hard without showing off. Just like you. Someone called 'PinkLady' from Belfast hailed it 'perfection for sensitive rosacea skin', and went on to add: 'This is perfect for easily dehydrated, sensitive rosacea-prone skin that reacts to most chemical sunscreens. It's very emollient, which is not pleasant at first, but dries to a nice satin finish. Minimal white cast. I'm also acne prone, and this caused no breakouts.' Martha followed suit and also mentioned that it was a 'great option for deeper skin tones', and went on to say: 'For reference I'm a Fitzpatrick 6. I use 1 pipette full (1/2 suggested amount) with 1 finger of mineral sunscreen (1/2 recommended amount) to get full factor 50 coverage. Mineral sunscreens do have a white tint as they are white pigments but going it this way I do not get a white cast. I have told all my black friends about this as white cast is our regular struggle. This has saved me so much time with not having to apply makeup to make a mineral sunscreen work for me.' If you're looking for a standout product, try 'The One That's a Serum SPF 50'. This featherlight SPF 50 serum is the kind of overachiever we love – moisturiser, sunscreen, and glow-booster all rolled into one sleek little bottle. It's packed with antioxidants, brightening vitamin C, and plumping hyaluronic acid, so your skin gets a hit of hydration, protection, and radiance in one go. No white cast, or greasy finish either – just smooth, dewy skin that looks like it's had eight hours of sleep and a green juice. It sinks in like a serum (because it is one) and works hard behind the scenes to fend off UV rays, pollution, and those pesky early signs of ageing. Basically, it's your skincare routine—streamlined, simplified, and seriously effective. All-year-round glow? Sorted. Below you'll find the list of all the products you can win. The Everyday One Moisturiser SPF 50 – worth £18 The One That's a Serum SPF 50 – worth £23 The Take Out One Invisible Sun Stick SPF 30 – worth £20.00 The One For Your Lips SPF 50 – worth £8 The One For Your Hands SPF 30 – worth £10 The One For Your Eyes SPF 50 – worth £18 The Illuminating One SPF 50 – worth £23 The Mineral One SPF 50 – worth £26 The Rose One Tinted Lip Balm SPF 50 – worth £10 The Mauve One Tinted Lip Balm SPF 50 – worth £10 The Everyday One Mineral Moisturiser SPF 50 – worth £24 Recovery One Mask – worth £19 The Everyday One Moisturiser SPF 50 75ml – worth £24 The One For Your Body SPF 30 – worth £18 It's worth mentioning that this competition ends on June 13, so what are you waiting for? 'I won the National Lottery - this is what I now do day to day'

A mum-of-four is hoping to turn her dream job into a reality after scooping £10,000 a month for a year on the National Lottery – but not before ticking off her ultimate shopping list. Olivia Love, 36, did what we all say we would do in her shoes and quit her job at a local supermarket after hearing the life-changing news. Since marrying last year, she has had her heart set on building a new career in wedding content creation. Now, thanks to her win, she and her husband are busy making those fantasies come true. The Glaswegian told Metro her reaction when she received the call telling her she had won on May 16. 'I just didn't believe it, I still don't believe it. I keep thinking this is a really vivid dream and at some point somebody is going to pinch me,' she said. 'It's hard to put into words how much this means to me.' The life-changing sum of money means a lot to Olivia who has struggled with money in the past. She earned £800-a-month before working in a supermarket's customer-service kiosk. Olivia was also on Universal Credit to subsidise her £1,800-a-month childcare costs. 'I still feel a bit nauseous if I'm being honest about it especially when I think about how much money it is,' she said. 'I'm not used to having any money. I'm used to having literal pennies left in the bank. I feel less anxious because I don't have to worry about the bills. 'Suddenly having thousands blows my mind.' Olivia and her husband went for some breakfast after dropping the kids off at his parents after they found out about the win. They then went on a shopping spree. 'I was trying to convince Kevin to buy some clothes. All he really wanted was a new pair of jeans and a new car. They weren't even expensive jeans, just jeans from Next. 'He's not much of a spender, I'm definitely the spender in the family. 'I went into Victoria's Secret and spent a whopping £750. That was my Pretty Woman moment.' Since the big win, Olivia's day-to-day life has changed as she gets more help around the house. This includes a team of cleaners who helped declutter her home and somebody who cleared her garden. She even has somebody who picks up her laundry and the next day brings it back all washed, dried and folded. When Olivia worked in the kiosk, she came across people buying lottery tickets which inspired her to get involved. But she admitted she did not play often and feels lucky to have won the money she has. 'Everybody is happy for us and nobody is asking for money which is nice. 'I haven't really come into contact with many people since the win. Over the years I've kept my social circle really small so I don't have any friends. 'We had a late miscarriage a couple of years ago. When I was in the midst of grief I just stopped talking to everyone. 'When I came out of that shadow there was nobody left. It is just me, my husband and the kids and that is the way we like it.' Olivia has been speaking about her massive tax-free win on her TikTok account. Some of her videos, which include how she found out, what happens if she dies and was it a lucky dip have more than 200,000 views each. More Trending She now plans to set up a wedding content creation business. Olivia has always wanted to pursue this career direction but was held back by her job and the income she relied on. She had this advice for people who are considering entering the lottery but have their doubts. 'It is just a game of chance. You can win, you just have to be in it to win it.'
