Sophie Turner says filming intimate scenes with Kit Harington in The Dreadful was 'vile', Entertainment News

Sophie Turner and Kit Harington were "retching" through their intimate scenes in The Dreadful.
The pair - who first starred together as half-siblings Sansa Stark and Jon Snow in eight seasons of Game of Thrones between 2019 and 2019 - appear together in the upcoming gothic horror.
While they were both excited about the project, Kit's fears that their romantic scenes would be "weird" for them to film proved to be true.
Speaking on Late Night with Seth Meyers, Sophie said: "I'd just got the script for this amazing gothic horror called The Dreadful, and I was reading through all the characters.
"And I'm producing it, so the director was asking me, 'Who do you think?' And immediately, the first person I thought of was Kit.
"And so, I sent the script to Kit, and he kind of sent me a message back going like, 'Yeah, I'd love to, but this is going to be really f***ing weird, Soph.' And I was like, what is he talking about?
"Then I was reading it, and I'm like, 'Kiss, kiss, sex, kiss, sex scene.' And then I'm like, oh shoot, that's my brother. But it's such a good script that he's like, 'We kind of have to do it.'
"So, then we put it out of our minds, and then we got on set, and it was the first kissing scene. And we were both retching, like really, it is vile. It was the worst, another really bad moment in my career."
The 29-year-old actress previously acknowledged that viewers would probably find it "weird" to see her and Kit play lovers.
Speaking in a video interview with Vogue, she said: "I did a movie last year which I'm really excited about with my old but very good friend Kit Harington, who played my brother on Game of Thrones.

"We're doing a gothic horror… but we play lovers."
Sophie then grimaced as she apologised to viewers.
She said: "Sorry, guys. It's really weird for all of us."
Game of Thrones featured incestuous relationships and Sophie had previously teased "things could happen" between Sansa and Jon, particularly after his true parentage was revealed, but she admitted she would find it awkward.
Speaking in 2016, she told Access Hollywood: "Things could happen, things couldn't happen. They are cousins and it is Game of Thrones.
"I could not do that with Kit. There's no way I could do those kind of scenes with Kit- I'd laugh way too much."

Studded bags are back on the fashion radar—here's how to style them

Quiet luxury may still be a lingering trend, but this season, fashion is craving something with bite. Enter: the studded bag. Once tied to rock concerts and boho festivals, it's now making its return in full swing. No longer the domain of fringe jackets and smoky eyeliner, the 2025 studded bag is maximalist, structured and surprisingly versatile. From Valentino's suede Nellcôte crossbody—embellished with oversized gold studs—to Khaite's pared-back Elena shoulder bag, designers are proving that hardware can be both bold and polished. Bella Hadid stuns in a plunging black long-sleeve bodysuit and cream pants, perfectly accessorised with Valentino Garavani's studded Nellcôte bag—a sleek mix of edgy hardware and refined elegance. Getty The studded bag trend started gaining serious momentum this summer, and it shows no sign of fading. Thanks to its structured shapes and tactile hardware, it's perfectly suited to be carried seamlessly from the warmer months into fall and winter. Fashion's most-watched names are taking note as well. Bella Hadid has been seen slinging hers over cargo pants and vintage baby tees, while Alexa Chung brings her signature polish to the trend—styling hers with a blue button-down, brown leather jacket and relaxed jeans. Even Dua Lipa has been spotted pairing studded minis with Y2K slip dresses—turning a once-grungy staple into a glossy, street style essential. Alexa Chung elevates the studded bag trend, styling hers with a blue button-down, brown leather jacket, relaxed jeans, and chic black mules. Getty The trend's appeal lies in its duality. On one end, it taps into fashion's nostalgia-fuelled obsession with all things Y2K and indie. On the other, it fits perfectly into today's appetite for individuality and punchy accessorising. They're detailed enough to make a statement, yet timeless enough to wear on repeat. Dua Lipa turns heads with a studded mini bag, perfectly complementing her Y2K-inspired slip dress for a modern take on nostalgic glamour. @dualipa To style, balance the bag's edgy hardware with soft, feminine fabrics like silk or cashmere, or use it to elevate everything from tailored blazers and floaty summer dresses. An effortless way to interject personality into any outfit, it's a statement piece that demands attention without overwhelming. ‘Most important thing I'll do in my career': Actor Jason Momoa on his historical epic Chief Of War

LOS ANGELES – Fans know him as the titular shirtless superhero from the Aquaman films (2018 to 2023), a brooding nomadic warlord on hit fantasy show Game Of Thrones (2011 to 2019) or an adonis in lifeguard trunks on drama series Baywatch: Hawaii (1991 to 2001). But Jason Momoa has moved into a new phase of his career with the epic historical drama Chief Of War, a passion project that he co-wrote, co-produced and stars in. An exhaustively researched depiction of Hawaiian history and culture that was filmed in Hawaii and New Zealand, it is the most important thing he will ever do professionally, the American actor believes. Now streaming on Apple TV+, the nine episodes are based on real events, telling the story of Hawaii's unification and colonisation at the turn of the 19th century through the eyes of Ka'iana (Momoa), a warrior chief who played a pivotal role. In a Zoom call from Hawaii, Momoa – who is native Hawaiian on his father's side and German and Irish on his mother's – tells The Straits Times and other media he 'welcomed the intense responsibility' of creating Chief Of War from the ground up. 'It's the most important thing I'll do in my career, not only for my people, but in the sense that we're involved in every aspect of this,' says the 45-year-old. The show's co-creator Thomas Pa'a Sibbett has native Hawaiian heritage as well. And leading the mostly Polynesian cast are three actors from New Zealand: Luciane Buchanan, known for the action series The Night Agent (2023 to present); Temuera Morrison, who played Momoa's father in the Aquaman films; and Cliff Curtis, who starred in the drama Whale Rider (2002). Jason Momoa in Chief Of War. PHOTO: APPLE TV+ 'I love being behind the camera more than in front of it,' says the star, who played the warrior Duncan Idaho in the science fiction blockbuster Dune (2021). 'Directing the finale episode, I felt at home. I really thrive in chaos – I love it when it's at its highest. 'When things are lagging and I've got to wait in a trailer to act, I go insane. I need to be doing 10 things at once – it's the way I operate,' admits Momoa, who also headlined the fantasy comedy A Minecraft Movie (2025). With this project, he hopes to redress the often two-dimensional, exoticised portrayals of Hawaii. 'Hollywood's portrayal of Hawaii has always been that postcard view, but that image is a bit different from what I know,' says Momoa, who was born in Honolulu, raised in Iowa and attended the University of Hawaii at Manoa. 'It's a bit of false advertising. It's 'come visit, it looks like this', and there's moments of this being manicured.' But Momoa is determined to change that with his production company Pride of Gypsies, which worked on Chief Of War. 'There's a depth and a beauty here that hasn't been seen, and I'm excited to put it into both modern movies and historical ones.' And Momoa's rise to stardom, he hints, has been partly in service of that goal. 'It took us a long time to have the clout to pull off something of this magnitude and be able to tell this story,' he adds. 'And I hope people like it so we can continue to tell these stories.' And Momoa's enthusiasm for this is boundless, according to the show's cast and crew. Says American showrunner and executive producer Doug Jung: 'I've never seen anybody that energetic and who pushes himself that hard. You've got to keep up with him.' 'I definitely find myself getting out of sorts,' Momoa says. 'But there's just gratitude and, hopefully, that pulls me out of it.' 'Or if I'm in a weird space and I can't get out of it, my children are a beautiful thing,' says the star, who has an 18-year-old daughter and 16-year-old son with former wife Lisa Bonet, a 57-year-old actress. He has been dating Puerto Rico-born American actress Adria Arjona, 33, since 2024. 'And calling your loved ones,' adds Momoa, who has been dating Puerto Rico-born American actress Adria Arjona, 33, since 2024. 'It helps you stay grounded and get back on course.'
