18 Of The Prettiest Names, According To The Internet

If you need inspiration for pretty baby names, you're in the right place.
In one Reddit thread (which you can see here), people shared the prettiest names they've ever heard, and I'm honestly pulling out my notes app for future reference.
From classic names you've probably heard before to names that are a bit more unique, here's what 18 different people had to say:
"I've always liked classical-sounding names like Calypso, Genevieve, Gwendolyn, or names based on flowers like Rose, Lavender, Lilly, etc."
–Trickynitsua212
"I used to be obsessed with Celeste. Now I like Aurelia."
"Elena. It just sounds like elegance in a name."
"I really like Marisol, it means ocean and sun in Spanish."
–justcallme_oli
"Common in Central Asian countries – Altynai. Translates to golden moon."
"Charlotte. Classy and timeless."
"I am always told people like my daughter's names. Eden, Annelie, Hollis, Marcella, and Liliana. Yes, five daughters. It's never quiet in my house lol."
"Aurora. It sounds like sunlight breaking through a forest. Plus, you can't say it without softening your voice a little."
–princess_kitty9
"Came across the name Astrid in a book series I read back in middle school (for those wondering: the Gone series by Michael Grant). I haven't stopped thinking about it since. It's one of those names that just flows off the tongue really nicely, and to me personally, it is a really beautiful mix of being a very soft, delicate name and a very strong name with a hint of edge."
"Met a girl at a summer camp once called Genesis. Might also be because I thought she was super cool and had an awesome vibe, but that name has stuck with me."
"I always thought the name Alexandra is beautiful (which it is), but when I heard the name Alessandra, I was like 'ooooh, Alexandra's cutesy and demure cousin.'"
"While watching The White Lotus Season 2, Valentina bought Isabella a starfish pin and said in Italian, 'Stellamarina.' I thought then and there it was the most gorgeous name I'd ever heard and so charming that it's the word for starfish in Italian!"
–MaterialisticTarte
"Seraphina. It rolls off the tongue like a little melody and feels both strong and elegant."
"Ella/Ellen/Ellie. It sounds like a sunny, quiet room in your grandma's house that's covered in lace. It sounds feminine and soft."
"Met a French girl called Coralie many years ago. We've met only once, but my god, the way she said her name in her French accent."
"A friend told me today he was going to name his daughter 'Meadow' when she was born. My spontaneous reaction was, 'Wow, that's really a nice name.'"
–steeltownblue
"One of my old coworkers who was super incredibly lovely was named Olympia, and I love the name so much!! It suited her so much, too, as a bubbly and kind person."
And finally, "Evelyn. It's my mother's name, and I always thought it was a beautiful name. She's 88 and is a beautiful lady."
What other names belong on this list? Let me know in the comments!

Cardi B Reacts To Criticism For Calling Fans Fat

Cardi B responded after she was called anti-fat for her odd reaction to her 3X merch selling out. In a livestream from earlier this month, which was recently reposted on Reddit, Cardi B talked about underestimating how much 3X merch she should have stocked for a recent fashion drop. She had earlier released three "box sets" for her upcoming album, Am I the Drama?, which came with their own specially designed T-shirt and a CD with a signed art card. As of writing, all three are sold out on Cardi B's website. "The box sets are completely sold out, especially because you fat fucks," she said on the live stream. "You guys are fat as fuck!" Cardi repeated. "No Chick-fil-A for ya'll. All the 3X sold out! Y'all, the 3X sold out in like 20 minutes!" Perhaps anticipating backlash, Cardi quickly added, "I can't even make fun of fat people no more." But then she justified her actions by pointing to the negative commentary she receives about her own body. Cardi argued, "Don't call me fat-phobic, y'all, because everybody make fun of my BBL. So I can body-shame people because y'all body-shame me." As you can imagine, the video went super viral, with many fans expressing shock, anger, and complete disbelief at Cardi's remarks. Writing on Reddit, one person said, "Fat shaming people that are supporting you is crazy work." Another agreed, "Yeah this is strange. There are steadfast fans of every size, so why would you call out a single group? " Another wondered, "Is this supposed to be funny?" One Reddit user expressed that "usually when she's unhinged it's funny but this ain't it. It's rude." "Rude as hell," commented another. "My younger sister wears 2X/3X and I would hate for her to see this from an artist she likes." Someone else said, "What a terrible business decision to be rude to the people who sell out your merch first." While this person absolutely could not believe Cardi's comments. "WOW," they wrote. "Money cannot buy class Cardi B." An eighth fan also pointed out, "jokes aside everyone wears their t-shirts oversized af now." "If I got y'all so upset, here. Here's a cupcake," Cardi continued, offering a cupcake to the camera. "I'm not gonna apologize, though, because y'all fucking sensitive and wanna cry about some dumb shit." The video wound up receiving a response from TikTok influencer Samyra, who criticized Cardi's comments in a video. Calling her out by name, Samyra said, "Just because someone else makes a joke doesn't mean you have to make it too." She also defended Cardi from body-shamers in the same breath, acknowledging that's not acceptable either. "No, they shouldn't be making fun of your BBL," Samyra stated. "But also no, you shouldn't be making fun of fat people." And once again, people were left cringing at Cardi's remarks. So far, Samyra hasn't responded to Cardi's comments — except to say that she was temporarily leaving TikTok and Instagram because of online "harassment" sparked from the posts. BuzzFeed has reached out to Cardi's reps for comment, but in the meantime, you can see the note here.

Mother-in-Law 'Hurt' After Daughter Chooses Baby Name with Link to Her Ex-Husband

The woman thinks the name is too close to that of her ex-husbandNEED TO KNOW A pregnant woman says that she and her partner's baby name has caused drama in their family The woman and her partner want to name their baby Georgia, which her mother-in-law feels is too close to the name of her ex-husband: George Now, internet users are advising the couple on how to move forwardA pregnant woman says that she and her partner's baby name choice has stirred drama in their family — specifically, with the poster's mother-in-law. In a post shared to Reddit, the anonymous woman writes: "I am pregnant and my wife and I have decided to name our daughter Georgia. My father-in-law's name is George. Our daughter is not named after him; we just love the name." But the poster's mother-in-law — George's ex-wife — is unhappy about the name choice. "They had a tumultuous divorce and are not on great terms and she feels hurt by the similarity in names," the post continues. Adding more context, the Redditor notes that they are "very close" to both her mother-in-law and father-in-law and "see them regularly." "They divorced 22 years ago and have both been remarried for over a decade," she adds. Still, she ends her post by asking if she and her partner should pick a different name for their daughter, or if her mother-in-law is "overstepping boundaries." Other Reddit users weighed in on the situation, with one suggesting a compromise. "If you really love the name Georgia, maybe suggest a nickname MIL can use, like GiGi," they suggested. "Having a name so similar to a family member can get confusing, so a nickname could solve that issue as well." The commenter continues, "If you're not 100% sold on the name, maybe find one you like as much or more. It would be a way to keep the peace and would be thoughtful towards your MIL, and you don't have to think of it as pandering to her. Names are a very personal choice, and really it's only between you and your spouse. But finding family harmony when a new baby is expected can make it easier on you too. Drama is never restful." Another commenter, however, offered a different take. "Disagree. This is one of those things that MIL is actually not entitled to have an opinion on," they added. Selfish boyfriend secretly quit his job — and then expected his girlfriend to financially support them: ‘Get rid of that man-child'

Oh no, he didn't. A woman's boyfriend didn't tell her he quit his job — and then accused her of being unsupportive when she didn't want to pay the full rent they once split. The frustrated girlfriend took to the r/AITA_WIBTA_PUBLIC Reddit forum to vent about her situation — which has since been deleted. This boyfriend is the definition of a man-child. DusanJelicic – She explained how she and her boyfriend lived together and split the rent 50/50. While things at home seemed to be fine and dandy — the original poster started to notice that her man was home more than usual, especially during times when he should've been at work. 'Everything was going fine until a few weeks ago.' She wrote that she asked him what was going on and he sneakily replied, saying he 'was taking some time off.' The OP had to learn of her boyfriend's impulsive decision to quit his job from their mutual friend. 'I asked him straight up, and yeah, turns out he just quit. No notice, no conversation with me. His reasoning was that he felt burned out and needed to reset,' she wrote. This boyfriend was clearly only thinking about himself in this situation. amnaj – 'I'm not unsympathetic to that at all, but I feel like quitting your job without a plan or at least talking to the person you live with is a massive red flag,' her post read. To make this situation even worse — the irrational boyfriend expected the OP to take on the financial burden of the couple's living situation while he was unemployed, by choice, and called her 'unsupportive' and 'selfish' when she refused. 'I told him I couldn't do that. I work full-time, pay my own bills, and I'm not in a position to carry both of us, especially not without a heads-up,' the OP wrote. Alexa, play 'Manchild' by Sabrina Carpenter. The post has over 1,000 comments from people who wholeheartedly support the OP — and not this wacky boyfriend. 'Time for him to move out and find someone (like his mom) who will put up with his nonsense. You thought you were in a relationship with an adult, but he's turned out to be a man-child who was just looking for sugar momma. The fact that he's just quit and not even tell you shows that he has no respect for you or how hard you're working.' 'Start paying his bills and I promise he will never 'figure things out' and you'll be covering his dumb a– forever. And he went crying to his mommy about it? So many red flags.' 'Get rid of that man-child. If he wanted shared finances, he should have gotten married. If he's going to behave so stupidly, he should not be married.' This isn't the first time the internet came after an irrational man. A hardworking girlfriend shared in the r/AITA subreddit forum that she and her fiancé also split everything 50/50 and when she asked if they could hire a cleaning service to regularly, every weekday, come to their home — her boyfriend refused. 'When we first moved in, I took on most of the cleaning and cooking… but after months of juggling work, house chores, and cooking — sometimes even having to cook while in the middle of meetings — I burned out. Completely,' she relatably wrote. She brought up this cleaning service idea, but 'He [her fiancé] got really upset and said it wasn't necessary, that I'm being lazy, and that I'm trying to avoid any responsibility for housework. That made me furious.'
