Just a day after Beyonce braved a prop malfunction, Katy Perry also faced a major scare during her 'Lifetimes' Tour in Australia. The incident created a frightening situation for both the pop icon and her fans as she 'almost fell' from the giant ball while on stage. The 'Lifetimes' Tour is Perry's fifth concert tour. The concert kicked off in Mexico City on April 23 and is scheduled to conclude in Abu Dhabi on December 7.
Kary Perry recently met with a terrifying incident during her 'Lifetimes' Tour in Australia, leaving everyone frightened. The pop icon almost fell out of the circular metal sphere prop during her song at the concert. During the show, the singer climbed into the giant ball, suspended on cables above the stage. However, the moment the sphere was lifted from the ground into the air, it began tilting to one side. Due to the sudden shift, Perry had to hold on to the frame.
Looking at the prop malfunction, fans started screaming. The backstage crew immediately cut the music, dimmed the lights and rushed to help Perry. When the 40-year-old was safe and out of the sphere, fans started applauding and shouted 'Go, Katy!' as she went back to the stage.
The dangerous incident came just a day after Beyonce faced a similar prop malfunction issue during her Cowboy Carter Tour. The 43-year-old was performing '16 Carriages' at Houston's NRG Stadium on Saturday when she sat on a red convertible prop. However, the car unexpectedly slanted mid-air, leaving everyone in panic mode. Immediately, the singer was brought down safely, much to everyone's relief.
Kate Perry is currently touring Australia, and she will be performing in major cities like Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth, and Adelaide. The concert will reportedly take place in venues like Qudos Bank Arena, Brisbane Entertainment Centre, Rod Laver Arena, RAC Arena, and Adelaide Entertainment Centre.

Beyoncé heads to Washington, D.C.: Parking, bag policy, tailgating at Northwest Stadium

She's coming ... to the nation's capital! Beyoncé Knowles-Carter is headed to the Washington, D.C.-area for the next stop on her Cowboy Carter and the Rodeo Chitlin' Circuit Tour. She is set to perform two nights only at Northwest Stadium on the Fourth of July and again on July 7. The shows come after Beyoncé wrapped her two-night stint in her hometown of Houston. Of course, Beyoncé first debuted her "Cowboy Carter" tour at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on April 28 with 39 songs on the set list. Her shows have been filled with family, fashion, different music genres, and most notably country music and cultural commentary. Here's what to know as fans head to the stadium, located in Landover, Maryland. How to get to Northwest Stadium Just five miles east of Washington, D.C., Northwest Stadium is located at 1600 Ring Road in Landover. It is easily accessible by car, rideshare or public transportation. Attendees taking public transit are advised to take the Blue or Silver Lines to the Morgan Boulevard Metro Station. Turn left onto Garrett Morgan Boulevard and follow the sidewalk for less than a mile to the stadium. The rideshare pickup and drop-off is now located in the Red Zone Lot. Doors of the stadium open at 5 p.m local time. Meanwhile, the show is set to kick off at 7 p.m., though Beyoncé's actual start time has varied between 7 and 8 p.m. Important information about parking and tailgating Parking lots open at 3:30 p.m. local time, and tailgating prior to the concert is permitted. Concertgoers should park in the Red Zone Lot should they wish to tailgate as the spaces are wider. If driving, fans are encouraged to arrive early due to traffic. Fans may purchase parking onsite or in advance on the stadium's official website. Currently, parking spots start at $87 including fees. What's the weather in Washington, D.C., and the DMV-area? From the United States to Europe, Beyoncé and her fans have braved severe weather conditions, an evacuation, cold temperatures and rainy weather for her concerts. Fans should take note of the weather in their respective cities before putting on their chic cowboy-core attire. In Landover, Maryland, fans can expect some hot temperatures and sunny skies for both shows. It's important to stay hydrated before and during the nearly three-hour show. Forecasts predict 83 degrees Fahrenheit on July 4 and 88 degrees Farenheit expected for the July 7 concert. Bag policy at Northwest Stadium Fans must follow the NFL clear-bag policy at the stadium. Guests are allowed to bring bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12-by-6-by-12 inches. This includes clear backpacks, clear fanny packs and clear cinch bags. Attendees are also permitted to bring one-gallon clear plastic freezer bags, but the logo can only be on one side. Additionally, small, non-clear bags that do not exceed 4.5-by-6.5 inches, with or without a handle or strap, are allowed. Medical bags or kits are acceptable and will be searched at the gate. Small cameras and cell phones are allowed if they are carried in loosely or in an approved clear bag. Lizzo Says Beyoncé's Concert Reminded Her ‘Life Is Worth Living' After Lawsuits Sent Her Into a Depression

Lizzo recently went through a difficult time, but after attending one of Beyoncé's concerts, the Yitty founder realized that nothing can break her soul. In a candid conversation with Women's Health published Tuesday (July 1), Lizzo opened up about how seeing her idol perform kickstarted her healing journey after struggling for months with depression and isolation. The hitmaker attended the Renaissance Tour in 2023; that year, she was hit with an ongoing lawsuit from three former backup dancers accusing her of sexual harassment and toxic work conditions, all allegations Lizzo has vehemently denied. More from Billboard How Lizzo Channeled Weezy, Missy Elliott & Her 14-Year-Old Self for Her Rap Mixtape: 'I Was Calling Myself 'Lizzo Wayne' Charley Crockett's Second Album of the Year Is Arriving Soon: 'I Don't Gamble. I Just Risk It All' Marcus Jordan's 'I Can,' the First Song He Ever Wrote, Hits No. 1 on Gospel Airplay Chart 'I was so nervous,' she told the publication, noting she was worried that people in the crowd would 'boo me or be like, 'F–k you.'' When fellow attendees instead embraced her with encouraging remarks, Lizzo says she was inspired to pull herself out of that dark period. 'It made me feel like, 'Wow, maybe I don't want to die. Life is worth living.' That was the kick-starter to me being like, 'OK, Melissa, get your a– in gear and take your f–king life back.'' Lizzo has since embarked on a fitness and mental wellness journey, re-emerging stronger and more self-assured than ever ahead of the release of her upcoming album, Love in Real Life. But things were dark for quite some time, according to the musician, as the legal action against her made her question everything. 'You look around and think about every person you've ever known and every experience, and you wonder, 'Was that real?'' she told WH. 'I got very paranoid and isolated. I used to walk into glam and be like, 'Oh, let me tell you about this crazy s–t that happened last night!' I couldn't do that anymore. I pushed everyone away. I wasn't even talking to my therapist.' The backup dancers' lawsuit came in August 2023, with the plaintiffs accusing Lizzo of pressuring them to touch nude dancers at a club, commenting on their weight and private sex lives, and forcing her religious beliefs on them. Some of those claims were dismissed by a judge in 2024, but the lawsuit was still ordered to move forward; in June, however, Lizzo filed an appeal aimed at shutting it down for good on the grounds that the dancers' claims clashed with her First Amendment rights. In September 2023, Lizzo was hit with a second lawsuit, this time from a former member of her style team claiming she'd faced a 'culture of racism and bullying' while working for the Grammy winner. Again, Lizzo denied any wrongdoing, with her attorneys calling the claims 'meritless and salacious.' 'It got to the point where I was like, 'I could die,'' Lizzo recalled of the public backlash she faced in light of the lawsuits. 'I never attempted to kill myself or thought about it, but I did think, 'If everyone hates you and thinks you're a terrible person, then what's the point?'' Despite everything, the businesswoman knows she always has Bey. The Destiny's Child alum's discography is a go-to for Lizzo during her workouts, and the 'Truth Hurts' artist even got a personal shout-out from Bey on many nights of the Renaissance Tour during 'Break My Soul (The Queens Remix)' — something that made Lizzo cry when she witnessed it in person. 'In that moment I was thinking about baby me, listening to Happy Face by destiny's child and crying myself to sleep because of bullies,' she wrote on Instagram shortly afterward. 'It's an honor. Thank You @beyonce.'
