Former BBC presenter Jay Blades has been charged with two counts of rape, West Mercia Police has said. TV presenter Jay Blades has been charged with two counts of rape, police have said. Blades is best known as the presenter of The Repair Shop, which launched in 2017 and became a huge hit for the BBC, although he stepped down from hosting duties last year. Blades, who has dyslexia, also fronted a documentary in 2022 in which he talked about how he learned to read when he was in his 50s. He was awarded an MBE in 2021 for services to craft.

Former Arsenal player Partey granted bail on rape charges
Former Arsenal footballer Thomas Partey was granted conditional bail on Tuesday after appearing in a London court on rape and sexual assault charges. The 32-year-old Ghana international has been charged with five counts of rape against two women, as well as a charge of sexual assault against a third woman.
